To begin, the team there is phenomenal. Javi, Ale, Alex, Kayla, Sherry, and the rest of the staff made sure that my husband and I had the most magical night of our lives. They treated me like I was family from the beginning of the planning process to the end, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we could relax and enjoy the evening. I felt like I was working with a highly trained Secret Service of sorts: -They used walkie talkies and ear pieces to communicate with each other throughout the night. -They anticipated our needs before we had them (making sure we ate first, bringing us drinks, holding my dress, escorting me, etc.). -They changed light bulbs, mopped up spills as they happened, ran to get cups when my caterer ran out, etc. This team made sure the event ran smoothly and resolved problems that weren't even their fault quickly! At the end of the night, Javi personally delivered some leftovers from the venue to our APARTMENT which was not expected but much appreciated. The venue itself is also gorgeous. It stands out from its peers through its Mission Revival architecture, and it boasts many different rooms, cool furniture, and breathtaking ceremony sites throughout the property. There isn't a lot you have to do in terms of decor/rentals/florals because it's just that beautiful. But you have to see it for yourself to appreciate the beauty. The photos I'm attaching (some professional, some from phone cameras) don't even begin to do it justice. Finally, this is one of the only outdoor venues (if not THE only venue) in Miami that allows you to keep the party going until 1am. My husband and I really wanted to have a long wedding and dance the night away, and this venue had no issue with that. They allow you to pay for extra hours and move you into a spacious indoor room at 11pm to get around the noise ordinance. It was exactly what we wanted. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married. I have only positive things to say about the Curtiss Mansion and its amazing staff who make people happy for a living.

For the price, it feels like one of the better values in Miami golf. Once you're on the course, you can tell right away it's well cared for. I've played here multiple times over the past year, and the conditions have been consistently solid. Fairways are in good shape, the greens roll true, and even the tee boxes are maintained better than most public tracks in the area. Pace of play is steady, so the round moves along without feeling rushed. After finishing up, the experience flows right into the 19th hole. Service can be a little slow, but the food and drinks make it worth the wait. The pro shop may be on the smaller side, but it has everything you need before heading out. And I have to call this out -- their Bloody Mary is one of the best I've ever had, the perfect way to wrap up the day. Overall, Miami Springs delivers from start to finish: easy booking, reliable course conditions, and a fun atmosphere after the round. It's a place I'll keep coming back to and one I'd definitely recommend.

The museum is a beautiful old inn with three levels. The first level has a few rooms with interesting artifacts and a video showing a brief history of how Ft. Lauderdale came to be settled. There are some beautiful art pieces from resident artists hanging on the walls of the video room. On the second floor, there are many different rooms showcasing different parts of Ft Lauderdale history; there is a room with information about archeological digs, Seminole and Tequesta history, a case with sports memorabilia from Wayne Huizenga's teams, a room with different military artefacts, among many other interesting details. I appreciated the information about the schools - they featured Fort Lauderdale high school and the founding of Dillard. The third floor is where resident artists work on their next amazing pieces. While we didn't get to visit the other buildings on the grounds, we did walk around the the grounds themselves are along the new river, with gazebos and very nice landscaping. All of the museum workers were very friendly and informative. I would certainly return and bring more friends, we had a great time!
