Speaking of special, Wilfred, Juan Carlos and his team went above and beyond to help make everything perfect. He was one of the most talented DJ's I've ever had and I've have been hosting parties at Olga's both personal and professionally for over twenty five years. He accommodated our own playlist for the entrance and dinner and then spun 80's, 90's music for our older friends and nailed it with the young crowd with the latest hits that they love. At Olga's one feels like they are dealing with family. They are so accommodating and professional that planning a party is a pice of cake with no stress. She and her husband live in Miami, so it seemed only right that they chose such a beautiful South Florida location. The moment we came to Vignette Gardens, we were speechless. The palm trees were all over the property, giving that lush greenery feel that instantly made the venue feel like an oasis. Every shaded corner seemed like a secret hideaway and picture-perfect backdrop. This is one of those places where nature did most of the talking. The wedding ceremony was beautifully arranged on the lawn, where rows of chairs faced a gorgeous floral arch under the palm trees. My niece's wedding was intimate and romantic that blended perfectly with the landscape. After the ceremony, guests made their way under the spacious reception tent. Honestly, that was the best place to be once that South Florida sun and humidity settled in. The tent offered tons of shade, a cool breeze from the fans and a comfortable space where everyone could relax while also celebrate and dance the night away without battling the sweltering heat. I honestly don't know every detail my niece selected for her wedding, but I do know one thing- her village showed up. Us four aunties, along with her mom (our oldest sister- yes, we're 5 sisters) were all hands on deck, each with our own assignment. Our oldest sister (her mom) took charge of putting together the centerpieces and other touches. My other two sisters were responsible for the seating display, inspired by a cool TikTok idea. They arranged an assortment of drinking glasses, each labeled with a guest's name and the corresponding table number. It wasn't just functional- it became part of the décor AND a keepsake. My twin sister worked on the ceremony arch, decorating it with lush florals and a flowing cream-colored fabric that gave the display a soft, organic, romantic feel. And I took charge of the welcome sign. I went to Lowe's and had a 20"x40" wooden board cut to size, then ordered a custom stencil with their names+ wedding date+etc from Etsy. Around the border, I placed faux greenery as a base before weaving in fresh flowers to give it that natural, organic touch. One thing that totally impressed me just as much as the venue itself was the awesome staff here. Every employee knew exactly what needed to be done and when to do it. But there was one woman- probably a manager(?) who truly stood out. She took charge with making sure every detail of my niece's and her husband's wedding came out smooth. She also made sure the entire team stayed on the same page. They worked like a well-oiled machine, as I always like to say. Everyone was in sync, and every transition happened like butter smooth. That's exactly what you hope for when choosing a wedding venue. After seeing it firsthand, I seriously believe Vignette Gardens could host just about any celebration- from anniversaries to birthdays, family reunions, baby showers or milestone events- just ask though. I find no pleasure in giving less than satisfactory reviews but this experience literally brought me to tears. VENUE First, the changes in venue were unsettling for me and concerning for invited guests. In spite of the fact that we had a contract for the Venetian I was given no choice in the change in venue to the Fire Tower. COMMUNICATION Communication was great in the beginning but seemed to drop off significantly after the change in venue and payment was made. DECOR The decor was simplistic and not at a "professional" level. The Table cloths were wrinkled. There was no coordination among the arrangements in the centerpieces - they seem to have been just thrown together. FOOD The food was not presented as I ordered it and was served at the Tasting. The food was cold and kid sized portions. The service was slow and disorganized. There was a lot of waste because few guests ate the food and complained it was not what they were told would be served. some guests arrived 50 minutes after dinner was served and were told the kitchen was closed. DJ The DJ didn't perform to expectations even though we provided the music and instructed him to play certain songs. MISC. Many guests were disturbed by the fact that a dog was walking through the venue during the party. I am sensitive to the fact that he may have been a "service dog" but it was not what is expected during a private party. As a matter of fact, one of my guests asked if she could bring her pet and she was told "no pets allowed" only to come and see a dog present. I pride myself on organization, attention to detail, and excellent service above all. This experience has negatively impacted my reputation. Some guests have said they would not attend future events I host. You would not have been in business as long as you have if the experience we had was typical of the level of service you deliver. And I would hate to think that it was indicative of the lack of value that was placed on my business. I wish you all the best in the future and hope this review leads to a better level of service for others.
