They were so friendly and accommodating, even speaking to the endodontist on call who made arrangements to see her first thing in the morning tomorrow. When Dr. Hatami recommended tooth extraction, they referred me to a specialist facility that was just as amazing as they were. It started with the bright and cheery greeting we received from Heather. Then on to an hour appointment with Dr. Wang, she is the most pleasant, cheerful, thorough dentist I have ever met. My new patient visit included x-rays, a thorough cleaning, MANY photos of what my teeth actually look like (yikes, the plaque!), a tooth-brushing demonstration, and guidance about how to use a Water Pik. The treatment plan she formulated for me was conservative, fair, and reasonable, and there was not one attempt to try to upsell me. She taught me so much about my teeth and oral hygiene care in that initial visit. And like any good educator, she was transparent about the work she was doing and what she plans to do with my teeth. I found her to be so motivating and encouraging. As someone who has never been a consistently good dental patient, I really appreciated her approach. I went back a month later for a few fillings and she showed me (via before and after photos) how much I've improved in my oral hygiene and a few areas where I need to be more diligent. From simple checkups and cleaning to fillings, caps, root canals, implants and more, Dr. Hoffer and his team provide the best. Though I moved away from Redlands a few years ago, I still make the regular trips to him and his practice because I'm very happy with the care I recieve. As a whole, Redlands Family Dentistry seems to be a modern, well-run operation staffed with friendly and caring people who know what they're doing. I'm always pleased with how easy it is to schedule appointments and how efficiently billing and insurance matters are handled. Procedures and costs are always explained beforehand and I always get to have the final say. My dental hygienist, Heidi, is very proficient, and she even helped my daughter to become a hygienist by providing advice, observational experience, and tools needed to take her State Boards. The final thing about Dr Hoffer and Redlands Family Dentistry I want to mention is that he always seems to be up on latest advances in dentistry and invests in the latest dental technology. Despite its outward appearance (which is in a converted historical house with a quaint old-timey feel) the practice is all about advanced tech: digital HD X-ray, computer aided design and milling of replacement teeth, micro cameras and digital imaging, and even a Star Trek-like "Beam me up, Scotty" stand-up chamber for CT scans! The place is the most advanced "general dentistry" practice I've ever been to, and when I describe it to friends, they get jealous!
