I like the prices at Olive Garden, and the vibes are surprisingly very nice considering its reputation. This location has a low rating, but my experience was not that bad. I came in a large party of nine, and we had to wait a good 30 minutes in person to be seated even after calling in advance to get our group on the waitlist. This was a Friday evening though. For drinks, one coke, one diet coke, and one coke zero, were ordered by people at our table, and all three people were given the wrong drink as the server mixed them up. I got the strawberry-passion fruit limonata, and I really liked it. It was very sweet though. Like juice/fruit soda. I was impressed by the unlimited breadsticks. The problem was that I was already starting to feel full after eating two. We got the calamari and shrimp fritto misto for appetizers. They were okay. I couldn't really taste the shrimp or the calamari because I could mostly just taste the fried breading. I had to leave early, so I ordered immediately after sitting and asked to get my pasta in a to-go container. My ravioli carbonara came pretty quickly, and I was happy with that. However, the side salad never arrived. They brought two giant bowls of side salad for the table, and they said they would bring me one to go. I waited at least 20 minutes after I got my pasta for my salad, but it did not arrive, and I had to leave. I just put some of the salad from the big bowls into my container. The pasta was pretty mid, to be honest. And I really like pasta, so I have a low bar for it. The salad was decent for a side salad. read more

Decent meal and experience. I have heard horror stories about this specific location but I found it to be better than others in the area. Don't get you're hopes up at the end of the day it's still mid americanized italian food. The server we had was so sweet and funny so that made our time more enjoyable. One of the few reasons we dine at olive garden is for soup and salad but it is also one of the only places out to get gluten free pasta. Your food has no flavor. Nothing was fresh. Obviously frozen and reheated. My son ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with crispy chicken. The noodles were mushy and overcooked. The GF ordered a rigatoni with the mushroom cream sauce. Once again way overcooked mush for the pasta and no flavor in the sauce. It was so bland we had to ask for some garlic powder from the kitchen to try and get some kind of flavor out of this sauce. Absolutely horrible. Finally I would like to address the gelatinous blob which you call the lasagne Classico which had the consistency of canned lasagne of the boyarde variety except tasted way worse. This is the one dish you served which had flavor, unfortunately the flavor was not good. It was bitter with a sour aftertaste. You claim it is made fresh daily. It may be heated from frozen daily but there is no way in heaven or earth it is made fresh. The food was a huge disappointment, especially at the prices you are charging. Took my daughter here for her 16th birthday dinner as it is one of her favorite places. Worst experience ever serves was horrible did not live up to the normal OG experience what so ever. Olive Garden wasn't my first choice for dranks on my recent visit to Temple, Texas. First off, anyone who now calls this place the "OG" is about as gangster and going to a private school in California. GF and I checked into our hotel. Nearest libations were the Texas Roadhouse that had over an hour wait at 8pm. Fine, back in the day I used to dig the Italian Margarita. We checked in online and drove over. For the six people in America that aren't initiated, that's a Margarita with a shot of amaretto. Wait was a tiny bit longer than the app said; noticed some decent value in drinks with some $5 options. GF ordered some soup. I had a liquid dinner including a nice finish with the Lavazza (coffee) Sambuca number; kind of an Italian Irish coffee. Hadn't dined at this location since 2012 where I met family members in the area for lunch. No backlash from the waiter that we weren't there to order all kinds of MEH Italian food...Drinks were good so three stars; not the best bar in America along the interstate...but it's Temple so your options are limited. read more

The food was good as it usually is and we were seated fairly quickly. Our server Ayden (maybe Aiden) was really welcoming and professional. What makes this a 5 star visit for me is we went with my In-laws and my father in law has dementia which can make going out in public difficult sometimes. On this trip he was convinced that his lasagna had rocks in it which was actually the edge of the pasta that can get a little tough from baking. He asked for the manager and kept telling our server that there were rocks in his food. I went and spoke with our server and another staff member, apologized and explained to them. I'd like to share my great experience at a restaurant with my family to celebrate my passing the driver's permit test. Everything was fantastic! Our server, Victoria, was incredibly nice and friendly, which made our dinner even more enjoyable. The music playing was classy and fit the theme perfectly. The fettuccine alfredo I had during the tour of Italy was amazingly cheesy, creamy, and honestly the best I've ever had! The hand-breaded mozzarella sticks with gooey cheese were also delicious. Oh, Olive Garden. Sometimes you're good, sometimes you're so-so, sometimes it's bad. It's the inconsistency that holds you back, especially at this location. My co-worker loves the waitress "Helen", says she's the best, and that's why he comes here weekly. Me on the other hand visits OG about once every couple of months on average. The salad and breadsticks are fine - a staple with OG. IMO the service here is better than average, there are some areas of improvement. But the food - it's just not as good as it used to be. I've had their Capellini Promodoro on occasion, it just wasn't as good - the angelhair pasta was way overcooked, and it doesn't keep well in the fridge as leftovers - - a day or 2 later it doesn't look that appetizing. Today for lunch there were a few minor issues. I got their new shrimp and ravioli dish w/ alfredo and drizzled w/ balsamic - - I asked for the alfredo on the side (I got it), but no balsamic vinegar. Someone else had the same issue, so we had ask for it - the runner seemed confused but got it for us anyway. My dish was good, not great, but good. For dessert - some of us got the tiramisu - - and it was frozen. Oh well. So the bottom line here is I can say Olive Garden is "A-OK". read more

When taking drink orders I told the waitress we were also ready to order. Tonight my family dined at Olive Garden to celebrate my sister's birthday and if I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Bri, our phenomenal waitress, was beyond fantastic in every way possible. As someone with Celiac's, I am often concerned about ordering food out as it is so easy for my meals to be contaminated in a restaurant kitchen. Bri provided a separate gluten-free menu and was so helpful in answering any questions I had about the (very limited) options available to me. I would like to note that overall I am highly disappointed in the gluten-free options, as there are only 4 entrees on the menu, but also want to point out that all pasta options can be subbed for their gluten-free pasta. The menu as a whole should definitely be expanded, but they do cook all "gluten sensitive" options in separate cookware. As we were here to celebrate a birthday, it was also discouraging that there were no desert options available for me - I would have loved a GF tiramisu or really anything! All that being said, I am writing this review specifically for Bri. She was so pleasant and attentive - really making our experience nothing less than stellar! From providing wine samples until we found one we loved until the very end with packing up our leftovers, Bri was always quick, very much present, and incredibly friendly. She helped with recommendations as well and just did an all-over great job. Bri, if you are reading this I want to offer you my sincerest thanks for making our experience so lovely. Usually Olive Garden is pretty consistent in food and service. The temple Olive Garden is usually good, not great but good. Today was a mess, we ordered tea and water for drinks and an appetizer. At the same time we ordered our meal, chicken Parma and soup and salad, we got our soups and salad and bread. The bread was brown and hard! She had no cheese to go on the soup, salad or the chicken! She brought soups and salad with no plates! Again no cheese! The chicken parmigiana came and second salad and soups. Still no appetizer! We canceled the appetizer. It shows up on the bill as being comped, not canceled!! I ordered a cappuccino and it came without a saucer or the cookie and no whipped cream! Feel like we had half a meal! The girl who gave us the food at 3:18 12/9/23 had the worst attitude ever we were trying to have a good birthday lunch for my friend and she totally ruined it. She raised her voice at us when we did answer her questions or she thought we didn't answer her question when we did. Today my husband and I went to the Temple I've Garden. When we first arrived and got seated the hostess knowingly sat us in the bar area and there was no seat. Then we asked to move tables and got put in a section with horrible and slow service. We waited like 20 for our to be taken. We did not even stay. They need to put someone in charge of them instead of letting some teenage kids seat people in over populated sections.
