I was immediately greeted at the order counter. My order was quickly placed for the salad bar, a cup of beef stew, and a medium fountain drink. I was handed my drink cup and a number to place on my table. I had barely gotten my drink and set it on the table and the soup, salad bowl, and a plate with two corn muffins was available to pick up. The salad bar had a lot of fresh options! The iceberg lettuce, salad greens, and the spinach was fresh with no wilted pieces that I could see. To name a few, they had Kalamata olives, beets, thinly sliced cucumber and radish, artichoke hearts, pepperoncinis, many different freshly made dressings, crisp, buttery croutons and even a few desserts. There also a large variety of fountain drinks and several different tea varieties to choose from. Employees were constantly wiping down the salad bar and replenishing items. Stopped in after exploring the area of our new home and checking things out. Stopped at Jason's Deli, love their food and the best pastrami and corned beef south of NYC. Had the New Yorker on the Marble Rye, would prefer regular seeded rye but this will do. Restaurant was very clean and service was very efficient. Tried out the Killeen location again on the hope it would be better than the last couple of times I went. It wasn't. I ordered the cheese and broccoli soup and salad bar. Soup was barely warm and served in an ice cold bowl. The lettuce from the salad bar was wilted and has obviously been sitting there out of temp for too long. The salad bar was very unkempt and obviously not maintained with different foods contaminating others. To cap it off there were roaches. Sat down and was eating when my girlfriend pointed out a roach crawling on the table. We brought it to the attention of the manager, Rocky, who shrugged it off and refused to talk to us. If there are roaches in the seating area this place is definitely infested with them. When you see one there are a hundred you don't see. This place is disgusting. read more

Pay attention to your order. I got way more than what I wanted . And when I tried to corrected it I was ignored. I wanted a bowl of soup and 4 extra bread stuff to go. And a salad bar... paid $39 ish.. looked at my receipt band thought it looked high and wrong but the cashier walked away... she has problems.. should have known it was way off when on my salad bar was a small soup. Got the 4=extra bread.. but got 2 large soup and 1 small soup. Not what I wanted but paid for. I like the other staff here just really watch the cashiers. I was impressed with Team at Jason's Deli. Our cashier was a quick, kind, friendly and accommodating (I'm a Vegetarian). We ordered the grilled cheese with broccoli and cheese soup and also a trip to the salad bar. All D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!! As I was headed back from the salad bar - one of the cashiers noticed that I was carrying my salad, a cup of dressing, a cup of beets and balancing as best I could. I have been to this place every week with a friend. I get a salad bar and cup of broccoli cheddar soup. I talked my husband into trying it on 5/18 at 7 for dinner. What a huge mistake. First of all 1 salad, soup, sandwich (club) and 2 drinks were $30!!! Then the salad bar was out of a lot of things and not restocked. The soup was watered down. I know this because of 30+ years as a restaurant manager! I said something to the "manager" on duty. She was a stout shorter woman. She argued with me saying that's how it is made. It had been watered down to extend it to close. I have seen it dozens of time. Front sneeze shield covered in soup and other splatters. Salad bar closed down at 7:30 with a line up front. We don't come here often, but Saturday morning was a great visit. We came early and the food was great! People started coming after we were almost done with our meal. The chicken tortilla soup was really good. It was fresh and hot and not very thick like paste, you know like the one in Chili's restaurant. Our sandwiches was also good. Hubby ordered the chicken croissant/toasted and it soooo yummy. I ordered the half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. The pastrami sandwich was also good. The only weird thing I think is that, the plate for one trip to the salad bar is smaller than the all you can eat one. I think that's backwards don't you think. It's not like I can eat everything on my plate, it's just I think it should be the other way around. But bottom line, we were very satisfied on our visit and the staff were very friendly and the place was clean. Saved us a trip to Georgetown, Souper Salad. My husband was placing his order, she stated the potato chip flavors, my husband asked her to repeat, she closed her eyes, rolled them, sighed and repeated. Very unprofessional! Food is just ok. The employees and manager, Roy, are unprofessional and don't care about customers or customer service. Went in today and ordered soup and salad bar. Soup was just ok. The salad bar was just your basic salad bar, nothing special. The problem came when I went to go get another dish for the salad bar. I went up with the little stub of paper showing I had paid for the salad bar and was denied another dish. I tried telling the employee this is what your other employee said to do she still refused. Then she came to my table and gave me a dish and told me something to the effect of I'll give you another one just this time. Like she was doing me a favor. I asked to speak to the manager. Roy acted like he could care less. It was obvious he wasn't going to do anything about it by his body language and tone of voice. Why would I pay 10$ for a salad? Salad bar is fantastic! Broccoli cheese soup was SO good, my daughter had the French dip and loved it as well. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful, as we had never been in before and wasn't sure how it all worked. Restaurant was clean and nice, Staff looked like they didn't hate being there.. First time here. Ordered a custom sandwich-roast beef on rye w/lettuce, tomato and mayo. Cheese was extra. Roast beef was tasteless and had more than its share of gristle. Plus, it was well-done. Tomato slices were hard, rye bread was just ok. You could get better and fresher at a grocery store. Sign says 'free ice cream', but there was nothing there (cone or cup) to get your 'free' ice cream. Since I had gotten my order to go, I didn't have time to stand in line again to ask. Also, they need a sign that says 'ORDER AND PAY HERE' instead of having someone walking all up and down the deli counter trying to figure out where to order as the cash register up front clearly said: 'CLOSED'. My husband got food poisoning from here yesterday. He ordered the deli sandwich. We won't be returning.

Service was excellent, couldn't ask for better. Place was clean. Drink station was well stocked. We ordered a Rueben, a panini and basic potato with two teas. Price a little over $43.00. The panini was perfect - it had more than enough turkey and guacamole and just spicy enough that you know it and not so much you are on fire. The potato was large and well stuffed with cheese, green onion, sour cream and butter, and smoky bacon bits. I was worried at first because the butter wasn't melted but when mixed in it melted right away. Sweet tea was excellent. The Coke was barely fizzy. And the major problem was the Rueben- the meat was chewy and I mean like a rubber band. Literally pulled a piece of meat off the sandwich and couldn't tear it - it stretched like a rubber band. Also while there was plenty of meat on it, it was a relatively small sandwich. For the price tag this should have been better. We shared the panini and potato ( and fed the pastrami to the dog). We hadn't been to a Jason's in years - it's gonna be a few more before we come back. read more

Absolutely horrid customer service. Cashier was polite but everyone after that was just rude. We were there around 7 , it was slightly busy but nn my horrible. Absolutely no acknowledgement , all the workers were not facing the customers. Finally got the order in.We ordered the salad bar. We get to the end of the counter and no one comes down to give us plates . Finally someone comes from the back and asks us what we need , so gets what we need. Then at the salad bar as were getting salad now mind you is only me and my husband they start removing the dressing and some of the salad parts to clean and I'm. Like um can we not make our salad first and then you can proceed but no they just disregarded that we were there. Making it harder to get some of the salad bar items. Then when my kids were getting ice cream the vanilla was out but rather than change it they ignored it and then wait till everyone settled for the chocolate and then switched it. I'm not sure what happened to just courtesy tonight but it was seriously disappointing.
