What an awesome tea room! Literally on the Thames!…read more 7 of us booked a table for brunch and were not disappointed! This is quite a big barge and seats about 20 people comfortably, offering a great range of cream teas, sandwiches, breakfasts and drinks. A little quaint, traditional barge tea shop. The cups and saucers are just fabulous and the coffee mugs are varied - all adding to the variety and experience of this wonderful place. The tea is served in leaf form so you have your own strainer, which is really cool! I opted for a full breakfast today which was just right! Unfortunately they had ran out of bacon but I got an extra sausage for that! Locally sourced food which was cooked perfectly from the kitchen you can see at the end of the barge. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, offering their advice and explaining the food options as well. The service was excellent and relaxed. The most important part of finishing the meal is the separation of the bill, especially in a group. However they offered to spilt this and each of us pay separately, this worked great! Overall, this is place is highly recommended for anytime of the day, relaxing on the Thames, in wonderful surroundings, watching the swans swim by.

Located in South Croydon ( the outskirts of London) this beautiful tea house will leave you day…read moredreaming! After several Google services, I came across Dotty's website, it is well put together and really grabbed my attention Seeing Dotty's in real life was like a dream. The establishment is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner really invested in the place and the people who work there. There is a pink bicycle parked outside, the establishment is pink, the decor is very elegant--perfect for a photo op I opt to do the afternoon tea with Prosecco added on as well as some scones to go. It was a very fair price per person. Under £80 for the entire experience for 2 people. They also sell other assorted desserts, shakes and cakes All the employees were attentive, they explained in detail what our package came with and they made sure we were happy from start to finish. EVERYTHING was delicious! From the English tea down to the Pimms jello HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/10!!

I stumbled on the listing while doing a search for tea places before I left Washington, DC to travel to London. Unfortunately I didn't make the reservation myself (relied on family in London to make it) so we didn't get booked for the afternoon tea service as I'd hoped and just had a reserved table instead. Still, I indulged in some scones with cream and strawberry jam, paired with a strong cup of decaf English breakfast tea. The staff is very friendly and took the time to explain the drink and pastry options to us. I hope I get a chance to visit again for the full tea service before the end of my trip!

I've been to Nonnas a few times and I can't fault it at all…read more The food is lovely, they have gluten free options and it's just such good value for money. I have only had one incident where I went with my partner on Sunday and it was our fault we didn't book a table but we wanted to give it a go just in case. We were ignored when we came to the host station and a family behind us got to push in front and was greeted and taken care of. After they had been served and sat down etc... we were finally greeted - we did ask if there was a table for two but we didn't have our hopes up and we just got "we are fully booked." And left it at that and walked away. I understand that it was busy but it definitely left a sour taste in my mind in regards to going back

In order to accommodate the group and ensure the kitchen was ready, they asked us to order ahead. I had the mix salad to start and the Formaggio and Pear Fiocchio Consomme for the main. I was impressed when the salad came out and it wasn't just a lot of lettuce with the standard single slice of cucumber and tomato. Instead it was a great mix of tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, lettuce, green olives, and a lite oil dressing. This did help me not be super jealous of the delicious Bruschetta and Calamari some of my fellow diners were enjoying. All of the plates were clear by the end so I have a feeling it was delicious. The main was lovely. It was cute little "bags of pasta" floating in a light veggie broth with peas and asparagus. The inside of the pasta was a delicious pear mash which went great with the veggies. I had a nice glass of Malbec to go alongside it all. My colleagues had dessert and all said it was delicious. I would happily come back to Nonna's.
