It's so huge and rustic in the inside..lovely wooden floors with distressed metal candlesticks and chandeliers... Entwined are home made products like jams, chocolate, lemonade and sweets.. This breakfast menu was difficult to choose from as it was full of tasty sounding dishes.. in the end I chose the veggie breakfast which came served on two large pieces of homemade bread, guacamole, hummus, poached eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans. At the start of the pandemic and the lock down when everything was fear and unknown, my dad had the return of a lot of heart issues. During lockdown he had severval heart surgeries in London, although he lives isolated close by The Boot after having a defibrillator installed which then gave him an automatic 6 month driving ban, he was destraught. He literally lives isolated on a long country road of about 5 houses. He checked into meals on wheels for his area and found that The Boot gets to work early in the day and supplies all the great meals for volunteers to deliver. So not only did my get well fed for months but with great food. So doubly thank you The Boot, that'll always keep you as a special favourite of mine when I am visiting.

After a morning touring around London, we decided to visit St.Johns Wood where a good friend lives. We stumbled upon Fego at ~2:00pm on a Sunday and the waitress put together two tables to accommodate our 4-person family outside. Salads: my wife and I split a "Chili Chicken salad" with avocado, sweet peppers, hamoulli cheese, shaved carrots and a light dressing. The chicken was tasty with a slight kick and the cheese was rich but not overpowering. My daughter got a salmon salad with avocado that was similarly tasty and healthy. Sandwich: We got an Italian panini with prosciutto, mozzarella, lettuce, pesto, avocado on a ciabatta roll. The roll was toasted (nice) but the cheese not really melted, which would have been nicer. Still, a very tasty and healthy sandwich. Finally, our 6-year old ordered pancakes with blueberries from the kids menu and was very happy dipping into maple syrup and coloring his menu. Our family tends to make lots of special orders ("avocado on the side, dressing on the side, pesto on the side,....") as we like to share and have different tastes. Our waitress got them all correct the first time and didn't make us feel badly at all.
