They have a lot of employees that have been there for years and are very knowledgeable. I typically buy a lot of my garden vegetables, fruit trees, and berry bushes from Wiegand's and I think the price is fair for the quality of the plants. I highly recommend Wiegand's. I moved in my new home 4 blocks from this garden center in 1992 and have bought my Spring annuals for Easter, May and Summer flowers for planting in ground and patio pots. The prices vary from the other local farmers nearby, but I can say that Ray Wiegand's nursery Guarantees their selection of flowers, plants, trees, shrubs and all items sold. Their plants are grown healthy and colorful as well as the hanging baskets and already grown in pots. The staff of family or friends who are working in many areas of the greenhouse or outside are always helpful and knowledgeable and ready to assist your questions about buying and planting plus offer guidance to problem plants that may be an issue with growing. The store also sells many statues, gardening supplies, outdoor furniture with monthly seasonal decorations for your home! I have been also very pleased with the quality and style made when purchasing in November a Memorial Christmas grave blanket for the cemetery. They have a vegetable garden area to purchase tomatoes, herbs, corn, etc. I did notice that some of the flowers were a bit parched but that is an easy fix. The prices are fair market value. The parking lot is quaint with gravel and lots of places to park. There are plenty of areas to enter the nursery. Checkout was easy and the young lady was very kind and efficient running the register. I purchased a large flowering hanging geranium plant and it looks beautiful on my porch.

There were plenty of carts/baskets to roll through and put your flowers in. The online ordering was flawless and convenient and the website was super easy to navigate through. All you have to do is decide on a date and time for pick up, order your flowers, pay the total and wait for your chosen pick up date to arrive. A seamless ordering process all done from the comfort and safety of home. On the date of pickup, it was fast and convenient and very organized. All you have to do is follow the signs at the entrance for pickup, pull up to the fence where each parking space is labeled with a spot number, call the phone number on the sign, pop your trunk and they bring your order right to the car. How much easier can it all be? It was a piece of cake and I remained safe in my vehicle. I hope this way of ordering and pickup stays in effect long after the virus has been contained.
