I was so happy when I saw the opened a location in Laval When I had this for the first time I loved it and always wanted to go back but I was never in the area. I think it's one of the best chicken places in MTL . I ordered the boneless chicken combo which came with 2 sides, 2 sauces and 2 drinks. I also got an extra side and an extra sauce which costed me a total of 55$. Everything was good except for the coleslaw it tasted like onions and no flavor. I would not suggest. I loved the fries because they were crispy and also the macaroni salad was light and yummy. The chicken is so good! And plentiful! The boyfriend and I ordered a "dipped fried chicken - bone in" and it comes with 1 side. We chose the macaroni salad. For sauce we went with the sweet and spicy. At first I thought the macaroni was super small. But by the time we were done the meal, we were beyond stuffed. Coming from the US, we eat a lot of fried chicken. So many fried chicken restaurants, and so many delicious options. I am CRYING, that Olivia's doesn't have any locations in the US. We popped in here to try a new spot, and get something small to hold us over until dinner. First the service was very friendly. Our cashier helped us with the menu and with our choices. We went with a chicken wrap, basically a chicken strip wrapped in a tortilla with veggies and sauce. Let me tell you, the chicken was so crispy, yet so juicy. When you bite into it, it's like slicing through butter. Chicken is so easy to dry out, and a lot of times fried chicken is balanced with the coating. Olivia's is crushing it! We still talk about months later. "Hey remember that chicken we ate in Montréal? Damn that was good..." The inside is a small space. I ordered this today with my friends, We then asked to have the snowflake sauce which is still on their menu, however they said they do not have it anymore and it was so good! we also asked 3 cokes... The total was 43$ When we went outside we realized they did not give us any forks or napkins, then we realised the coke wasn't given as well but then I realised that they did not charged us the cokes! When you think that fried chicken can not get any better!! Olivia's fried chicken is out of this world! The skin is crispy and crunchy, not oily from the frying, and they offer a bunch of different sauces for dipping (honey mustard and onion soya are my favs)! They also have sides as well such as potato salad (you need this one), coleslaw etc. Service was good too, because I had ordered an order of the boneless as well as the bone in chicken and could not decide on which sauces I wanted, they gave me one of each :) Also loved that when they packed the food they made a hole in the corner of the box so the chicken doesn't get soggy - small detail but for take out it's an important one! Was excited to try their fried chicken since I saw it all over social media and people kept posting pictures of it (Instagram). I bought 2 portions of boneless chicken since they were out of bone-in : 1 sweet and spicy & 1 garlic soy. Maybe because I had a long drive home (around 25 mins), but the outside was a bit soggy and not crispy. Their sweet and spicy homemade sauce was not what I expected of korean fried chicken (which usually are spicy). The garlic was very good if you like garlic (they put a lot in it). It comes with a small portion of marinated radish and cabbage. While I would order this for say-a Superbowl afternoon- i lived closeby in NDG, I would not make a long drive purposely to eat their chicken. There are other authentic places that make better sweet and spicy sauce fried chicken (dakgangjeong) in downtown Montreal. If it's your first time and you are near NDG and looking for some fried chicken, go ahead! It can please that craving. On an instant whim I wanted fried chicken for lunch and even though this one is located a bit far for me, the ratings drew me in. I called 30 min prior to pick up and a friendly guy answered the phone. He took my order of the boneless fried chicken with sauce and salad on the side. I checked if that was enough time and he said yes. I got there pretty much on time. There were two annoyed delivery guys who'd been waiting 10 or so minutes for their orders. I stepped in an waited and oddly there was nobody at the front... I stood and waited while a bunch of people seemed to be trying to get stuff in order at the back. After a dozen of minutes of waiting, finally a guy who came still wearing his jacket from outside asked if we'd been served. I got my order a few minutes after but no apologies and by the time I got home, the order had cooled down. Not sure if it was cause of the wait at the resto or my drive home. Since these guys are well rated, maybe it's one of their off days? Anyway, they didn't look like they had it together that day. Now for the food. I liked the crispy chicken--the batter is very lightly seasoned but fried perfectly. I think the chicken on it's own would need more salt, but that's probably the idea of the sauce. It goes excellently with the honey mustard sauce. The boneless chicken for $23.99 is a big enough portion for two people with a few pieces left over. Coleslaw is made with a vinaigrette but a little on the oily side. If you're a sauce fiend like we are, you'll probably want to add an extra sauce to go with the rest of the chicken pieces. Overall, I liked their friend chicken and sauce. Maybe the customer service was a bit off on that day so I'd still give them another shot and hopefully the chicken will be ready on time! read more

I unfortunately didn't like this place as much as my fellow helpers below. The prices were very affordable, ingredients were fresh and the chicken wasn't oily and it was crispy. I had their chicken wrap on two occasions and I found that the chicken lacked flavour and they put wayyyyy too much sauce inside (so I recommend getting the sauce on the side) but I also wasn't a fan of their sauces. That being said, service is friendly, ingredients are fresh and the price is right. I definitely wouldn't discourage anyone from going to give this place a try for themselves. My fiancé and our friends really liked it much more than I did so may just be a matter of taste or that I ordered the wrong thing. I'll be going back to try something other than the wrap in hopes that I'll enjoy it more! read more

I have to admit it was not oily though which is nice. Their sauces were terrible. Not one of them stood out for me. The service was just ok. Amazing crunchy moist tender chicken! I saw some reviews that said the boneless meat was dry but I completely disagree. It was insanely good! 1 boneless chicken order was about 10 big pieces. We got the sweet and spicy sauce + the garlic soya sauce. Both were extremely sweet. I have a big sweet tooth but I can imagine that those who don't will find the sauces abit much. I do recommend buying a second sauce because 1 sauce container wouldn't have been enough. The potato salad was good nothing out of this world. Visited this place a couple of times. It has a bright illuminated sign and a clean modern interior. The Korean fried chicken is always juicy, tender and has bite. It still has some stringyness which is important in giving you impression that it is muscle fiber. The flavour is not too big so to leave a blank slate to add your own seasonings like hot sauce. The soft bun for the sandwich is a good bread it kind of gives Sourdough feel. Definitely a place id like to come back to. read more

I ordered boneless chicken from here today, the guy on the phone was very kind in explaining how their servings work. They seem to be a new addition to the neighborhood. The price might sound a little steep but they give ALOT of no less chicken, enough for two people with leftovers. The chicken is tender, juicy and the breading is so light and airy! It went downhill after that. There was far too much cornflake like batter and the chicken was quite dry. The fries resembled the frozen variety. Chicken burgers was so oily the oily was all over the buns, they used brioche buns but the buns were not fluffy and were pretty flat but that would have been okay if the chicken was good inside! My wife ordered take out 8 pieces of fried chicken, coleslaw and fries and the total came to $72! Expensive but we thought if the reviews were correct why not. When the food arrived it was warm not hot... ok but the first bite was rubbery, completely under cooked. There is nothing worse than biting into raw or undercooked chicken. We called back to ask them to pick up the order and send us a new order of fried chicken properly cooked which they refused and said it was not possible. STAY AWAY! It used to be the best fried chicken in the city. delicious and succulent. The new partnership seems to have ruined the customer value in favour of raping its customers. I love the chicken from its roots in K'Bob a Korean restaurant in NDG. But to pay over 100 dollars for 8 pieces of chicken is outrageous and the reason it is so expensive is even more horrific. When I last was there 6 weeks ago I was told that to get 8 pieces of chicken I would be required to buy 4 23$ ea. for a 2 piece dinners. Now the dinners includes VERY VERY bad salads and even worse greasy terrible under cooked French Fries. Add tax and that comes to over 100$. The chicken may be good (I have found a more than adequate replacement at a Philippian grocery on Van Horne near Victoria; I suggest you go there at 3$ a piece, oddly there is no white meat) but at that price I will hire a private chef to cook for me. The total insult is that extra chicken is on the menu but you cannot order it to take out and you cannot eat in so you cannot order it (or they just didn't let me). This restaurant has seen me for the last time! Their obvious distain for their clients not only has me staying away but routing for their failure. I tried their boneless chicken plain and dipped with the garlic/soy. Both were absolutely amazing. So far, it's my favorite fried chicken in Montreal. Super crunchy without being overly oily. I live 45 minutes away from the restaurant and even the dipped chicken remained crunchy by the time I got home. Enjoy! read more

This was my first time picking up from here. I love good fried chicken but have rarely had it north of North Carolina. But this was really good. I had boneless because it is the weekend and I didn't want to wait the longer time for it to be ready (weekends you can't call in advance) but it was juicy, fresh with the right amount of skin. The staff were efficient and polite - miles better than I have grown accustomed to over the last months with newer restaurants. The portions are right (true to size if you will), the Cole slaw was good as well. I am told the routine was also good. Definitely coming back. read more
