I live about an hour away and have gone to this store, not found what was advertised, asked the staff, and received awkward looks and "I don't even know what that is" responses-- they do not even know what is in their own ad! Great prices on all bathroom things and pet things. Namebrand and 50% cheaper than any other stores. They also have a huge selection of outdoor and indoor good at a great price with a good selection and the staff is great stores clean and I just don't ever have enough money to go lol. It's truly hard rating a place like this because i kind of knew what I was walking in to. First thing I noticed is that they don't pick up the parking lot buggies, they more expect you to get your own (as they told several people who walked in looking.) Social distancing is non-existent to most of their staff and their customers. Of the 5-6 employees i saw, only one was properly wearing a mask and another had it below her chin. Maybe of he 30-40 people inside the store, 8 of us were in masks. The store has a little bit of everything, and being my first time here, i was not sure how to properly attack it. We were doing more of a browse than a buy day. I found a few things that had been on my mind to buy if i ever saw them, so it was sort of productive. The store is full of what looks like overstocked goods and defected items that could still be sold, but at a way reduced price. Now, I did see a large amount of bedding, so that will be a plus when changing up my guest bedroom, looking for inexpensive, but basic bedding. While checking out, I did find out through their gossiping, maskless cashiers that one person was not coming in (which apparently warranted a go-figure response), and another staff member just hadn't showed up. And to add fuel to the Covid-19 heebie jeebies, the cashier kept licking her finger to make the plastic bags open. it might be a while before I go back there unless suddenly people start taking the health of their colleagues and the public, and well, humanity a little more seriously. So I discovered Ollies from a newspapers mailer. I've wanted the weighted blanket for years, they have it for $40!!!! Compared to 90-150$ I've found before. I'm actually here now to return an item I got in my last visit. When I walked in I saw that the line was SUPER long. My mind immediately went to "ugh" this this that kinda place. But as I stood in like, cause I wasn't leaving, the manager came out and apologized for the lines. I've never in all of my years as a consumer had someone come out and simply apologize for the long line. Then, get this, he started offering us candy!!! Some Ollie's and bargains are better than others. The Ollie's in Harlingen Texas is we stocked and organized while the location in Longview Texas is frequently in disarray. The last visited location in Baton Rouge had a sign on one door that stated it was closed go to other entrance. This was not visible until you actually walked to the door. The workers were very nonchalant about my complaint. They all want you to show an if for paint purchase event though you are obviously over 65! read more

A well organized clearance chain store that has everything from housewares to sporting goods to flooring and to food from a nice assortment of garden & patio items. Discounted prices on things I have been waiting to find at other clearance stores I found there in bulk such as quality patio cushions, weighted blankets, big ceramic flower pots, and now even a nice Lane rocker recliner. Need a gift for a birthday, quality luggage for a trip, coffee pods for a Kereg or just dish or clothes detergent? Good stuff cheap, but just watch out for those items that are cheaply made! read more

This is a bargain hunter's dream!! Shopping is always the last thing on my mind. My husband has been dying to take me to this store, so we finally got an opportunity. It was discount paradise! I try to be a minimalist to the best of my ability and can't stand buying things that I don't need. They have everything here... from home goods: furniture, appliances, kitchen needs, bedding and more to non-perishable food items: cereals, cookies, condiments, candies and much more. There was even a huge section of carpets and books. I was pretty impressed. For the most part, the store was pretty organized. I was looking at bath rugs and there was one that I found (that I loved), but I couldn't find another one. We bought flashlights, batteries, a cool toy for our daughter and a few house needs. If you sign up for their mailing list, they will send you coupons. During this last visit, my husband got 15% off, so it was nice to save some on our purchase. My only gripe was that it was a busy Sunday afternoon and it took them a hot second to open up another check-out stand. They pride themselves on creating a cheapskate wonderland for you amateur cheapskates out there. This store is way too expensive for extreme cheapskates "as seen on T.V.". Yes, this place is comical and a bit creative, but at the end of the day, most of their merchandise is very low quality at maybe a lower price than their competition especially if you use one of their personalized percentage off coupons. I would probably never purchase toiletries or food here and the $10 binoculars were totally worthless and continue to smell like harsh rubber. On a much brighter note, the "as seen on T.V." flashlights, 2 for $10 in a package, are two of the brightest flashlights per size I have ever owned in my life. Way great deal! So, all in all, this place is a bit hit and miss. I would recommend at least walking around the store once before heading to Wal-Mart again or impulsively buying something on Amazon again. read more
