Seemed to have a smaller selection of sports cards & toys. The man working behind the counter (owner?) was nice, greeting me as I entered with my 2 kids. He offered assistance but I didn't need any. He continued his conversation with a regular customer about old sci-fi episodes. Eavesdropping on their conversation made me feel right at home. Just like my local comic book store. I ended up buying a copy of Captain Marvel 17 & Thanos 14. They were having a 15% off sale on back issues. Next time I pass through Baton Rouge, I'll be sure to stop by.

I was unable to find the particular vinyl she wanted and the guy who was working tried his best to find it at other record stores in the area. I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly and willing to help me find it. Although I was unable to find what my fiancée wanted, I did me two vinyls I've been looking for. One of them was Out of the Cellar by Ratt. I use to listen to that album all the time as a kid. The other vinyl I found was Back Home Again by John Denver. I would put that album in my top 5 favorite albums. Besides selling vinyls, they did have guitars, drums, bass and pianos for sale. Really nice record store and I hope to stop by again if I'm ever in the Baton Rouge area.

Her daughter is the precious girl on her business cards I posted in the pics. Fine and Dandy is located in Gonzales, just barely past Prairieville, so super close to Baton Rouge! It's nestled in a little strip mall, currently next to a kickboxing studio. I went at night, but my GPS still took me right to it. I was invited to a painting party and was excited that it was not the same ones I'd been to before where you follow the teacher as she talks you through painting inside the lines. It felt way more creative than that and was completely personalized! Our group of ladies pre-ordered and pre-paid from several choices ahead of time, then they were waiting for us on the table when we walked in! We each made a completely unique, monogrammed masterpiece! I chose the circle with my last name, what year my family was established (est.), and the big letter for my last name - all framed by Mardi Gras beads! I painted mine purple and gold to use all year round for this LSU fan. Truly something I needed as I have nothing on my front door majority of the year. Ashley had great color choices, was helpful to give suggestions and helped finalize the project, but also left you plenty of room for you to let your artsy side just flow! Oh and I can't forget! She has an adorable gift shop set up in her studio too. Lots of local vendors sell items there, and she always does vinyl clothing (like monogramming), and I'm sure way more other options than I even realized. And she said she's constantly getting in new items. Definitely a place to check out on a regular basis and also a place to plan a birthday party for kids, girls' nights, Girl Scout Troop's, etc. And you could totally make a creation to then gift to someone as I'm sure they'd love it!
