I was in the store on May 13, 2026 at about 1:15pm. While shopping I was approached by a man who…read moreasked if I would give him money to buy pants so he could attend a funeral. When I told the man "No" and that he is not supposed to be inside the store begging people for money, he loudly called me a racist and began causing a scene. I immediately reported him to a store employee who summoned the manager. The manager asked me to identify the person who was begging and I did so. The manager calmly asked the person to leave the store but the beggar wouldn't leave quietly. Instead the man insisted that he hadn't asked anyone for money and while pointing at me, called me a racist. The man's elevator surely stops short of the top floor. I commend the store manager and staff for their calm and professional handling of this individual. I've been shopping at this Dollar Tree store off and on for many years and have always had a good experience with the staff. I went there this day because HEB stopped selling some marshmallow cookies that I liked and Walmart stopped stocking their brand of cheese crackers. I'm happy to report that both the marshmallow cookies and cheese crackers I bought this day at Dollar Tree are great. My sweet tooth and munchie habit are saved. Thanks again to the Dollar Tree staff. Your actions on this day are commendable.

I'm unable to take advantage of all that they sell because I don't deal in clothes or jewelry. When I take a lady friend with me, she has found some useful clothing. Personally, since I'm a picker/reseller I find initial prices a bit high to be able to make a reasonable profit but, I have on occasion found a few bargains. Their prices tend to be a little close to retail which, if you're shopping for yourself is not an issue. They do have price decreases after stock has been in the store unsold for a determined time which, while nice isn't much help because when I visit, most of the items on hand have been put out recently enough that discounts don't apply. Not living in the area, I only visit intermittently (when I need medical imaging across the street from the shop or visit Luciano's restaurant) so I don't have the opportunity to note the discount days on interesting items and visit the location on the appropriate day. So, if making a "killing" on the price is not all that important to you because you are the end user I recommend this shop. If you are a reseller, while it's possible to find something you can resell at a profit I don't think the likelihood is all that high. However, if you happen to be in the area on other business it's definitely worth dropping by.

I told him "no, we are just looking around". My wife and I made our way through the store, and upon going towards the back we noticed an open door to what seemed to be another room with merchandise neatly displayed with prices so we assumed it was merchandise for sale. We were in there for about 30 seconds when the employee from the front came back into the room and said very aggressively "can I help you?". I told him once again no that we were just looking around. He then again aggressively told us "well if you aren't talking money you need to get up out my store, I don't have time to waste with y'all". We then fearfully made a quick walk to the front door and left. It seemed like there is some kind of illegal activity going on in the back of the business and we stumbled upon something that we weren't supposed to see. There is enough parking for a dozen or so cars out front. They have a large children's clothes section and even have wedding dresses for sale. They do have a decent amount of furnishings, dishware, shoes, music, purses, etc. In the back of the store they have a large warehouse area filled with glassware, some electronics and women's clothing.
