Seems to be the run-of-the-mill mall with the usual anchor stores and eateries. However, I was surprised to see a Cheesecake Factory located here. After shopping at Dillard's, we walked through the remainder of the mall. We checked out Champs, found two shoes, and also shopped at JC Penney's. All the staff at the various stores seemed friendly and welcoming. The mall seemed to cater to the surrounding socio-economic status of the community. Great value for the area! read more

I love the fact we still have this mall is our fun sun surf Beach party city of Corpus Christi Texas. We may be small but we are still a surf city rock and roll city with a great night life down town with concerts and ball games and festivals. I'm 70 years old and still a mall rat. On line shopping and shoppers are nerds it's cool.to shop this mall all the time and lots of high end eating places surrounding it. People just gotta get out and be cool again and be mall rats like in the 60s and 70s and 80s and 90s. Forever 20 was a upstairs down stairs movie theater one time I wish the mall would do that again malls needs movies theaters. Food court could do with Whataburger and McDonald's and a couple of Mexican restaurants. Malls are only dying as I they sat because of the on line shopping nerds. read more

Beautiful mall. Lots of store that fit my style. LOVED how many beautiful, obedient, and attentive dogs walking around inside. I did not feel comfortable to just snap pics of ppl but there were so many pit bulls. Being an animal lover, seeing a big grey pit walking with a smile, it just warmed my heart. read more

In town for an International Masonic Supreme Grand Congress session. We had people from around the world with very different cultural tastes and expectations for the local cuisine. This was one of several restaurants where we chose to fellowship off site and it was a big hit with everyone. Great food, service, and ambiance. The security is on a power high. They are very nasty to customers and discriminate about who is allowed to be in the mall. They forced us to leave. Also if you have a dog that helps you please note they are extremely aggressive about seeing eye dog and emotional support dogs. read more

I no longer live in Corpus but seeing how Padre Stokes Mall has been transformed into La Palmera has been amazing. Every time I come there are new stores or restaurants. The parking and traffic is horrible but it is worth it to brave it from time to time. I'm excited a Dave and Busters will be coming soon but hesitant to see what the traffic will look like when that happens! read more

I really have to give props to the company that bought Padre-Staples Mall, COMPLETELY renovated it and changed the name to "La Palmera." Before I had gone in for the first time after the renovations, I kept calling it "Padre-Staples" because that's the mall I grew up with. What were some outsiders going to do to influence me to call it by what THEY said?? Well, was I ever blown away!! They took an old, well-established, and somewhat dark mall and turned it into a bright, fresh, well thought out shopping dynamo! From the addition of an excellent food court to the upscale businesses to the new open-air designs, La Palmera is beautiful! I can't get over the difference. Now, this company needs to buy the OTHER mall and work on it - or at least breath some life into it! Great job! read more

I am definitely NOT a mall person. I did however have an hour to kill while my tires were being changed. La Palmera is OK, it has all of your basic mall stores like, Macy's, Dillard's, VS and so forth. They have a decent size food court. I saw a few shoe places. the lady at the sun glasses place was very nice. Good people! I've been here a few times to see Santa. My usual store is Dillard's. It's a one stop shop type of place. read more

Decent middle class mall in Corpus Christi. I wish it was still named Padre Staples Mall, don't know why they changed it to "La Palmera". This mall is usually always busy, half still suck in the 80's and the rest they are updating with the same layout/shops/restaurants that the rest of Texas has. They are about 10 years behind on this stuff, but props for Corpus mall's moving up in the world. Like anywhere in South, Texas you will be sure to find your ghetto wanna be's running a muck here. Not buying anything, except poaching on your wife and all the corpus "babes" lol walking around doing nothing. Other than that, La Palmera is a good place to shop and spend your day if your new in town or like to shop. Great shoe selection as well here and a lot of good shoe stores. No Gucci, LV, or Burberry in Corpus just yet. Corpus is still breathing how upscale Coach & B.J.s brewhouse is... slowly getting there! Check back in 10 years. read more

I just can't rate La Palmera more than three stars even though I went there every week. I have such mixed feelings about this mall--there's the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sadly, it could be so much more than it is. But here is my assessment: The good -Dillard's -White House Black Market - chik fila market salad - PF Chang's -Grimaldi's - Sephora The not-so good -macys is abysmal in selection. - coach and Michael Kors are the only high end boutiques Deal breaker ugly -- the gauntlet of kiosks with aggressive vendors hawking their goods by getting into your personal space, putting things in your face, and accosting you as you pass. A polite "no thank you" does not deter their onslaught. This is the class of behavior I would expect to see at a swap meet or in a third world country marketplace--never in a family shopping mall with chain department stores and boutiques. If it weren't for WHBM, I would never leave Dillard's to walk this far down the mall. read more

Seen a mall seen'em all? Quite possibly. But CC can't really go too wrong. Yes, the shopping options are just as mainstream as the next city, yes the prices are too high for the quality offered. But, unlike, say, abilene, spending an afternoon here is not as depressing. Food court is decent and if you don't find what you wat you can always count on a bite to eat in the proximity. The shops are cute and display fancy dos. Those who complain about no high end shops. Please explain why Gucci, Versace and Armani would invest in a boutique in this area risking to not capitalize pn their brand as much as, say, S. Antonio but less than 2 hours away? Amazing changes since I moved out of Corpus. I told my sister, "NOW, after I've moved out?! NOW?!" But still, proud of their growth. I know they are under new ownership and I applaud his/her efforts. Beautiful design, very cozy. Great selection of low to medium-grade shops and restaurants. They really introduced a lot of natural lighting and it's just amazing. If I could move in there, I would. If I was still a college student, I would come here to study on one of their couches (it helps I'm deaf so the noise doesn't bother me). Not sure if they have wifi but still... Tip: park in the back. Everyone parks in the front for some reason, perhaps to look cool as their friends drool when they drive by on the freeway. read more

I love the smaller the Macy's JCPenney's Dillards Mac and plenty of other stores like the Buckle Victoria's Secret and sports stores and they have a game stop and plenty of other stores that are great and a bunch of chaos is with different stores I love this place it's a great place to go walk and shop read more

Not that great of a mall, but I guess it's one of the best malls around this town that has all your clothing, accessories, and necessaries.

The mall looked realy nice, but 90% of the stores were closed due to the ice.

Love Palmera Mall, however, the sales people/booths located in center area are WAY TOO AGGRESSIVE, it's almost as if we try at all cost to avoid that area, other than that, we love Palmera Mall! read more
