2nd time I have stepped into a Ollies and Its not a bad store!! Its similar to Big Lots. Branded items that are discounted. This is the one in Kissimmee location and from the outside it looks small but once you get in - Its huge inside. I went to pretty much every aisle to see what they offer and I scored a few items that were priced pretty low! Tramontina 2 pc fajita cast iron set that included 2 cast iron pans - 2 pcs handle covers and the 2 pc wood tray to place the pans when its sizzling. This was brand new for $19.99 These are the pans you see at chilis when they serve the sizzling fajitas! Then I scored 2 word frames for $1.99 each. Perfect for my beach theme on my entry way table. JOIE ice cream 4 pc spoon sets - for $1.99 Scored $1 items from the bakery section - Bday tags for gifts - gift bag crinkled paper to stuff gift bags. These stores feel huge. They have so much merchandise in them and it is constantly changing. I have now shopped at a couple of stores and I think I've made a purchase every time. They have a wide variety of everything and they are worth shopping, especially if you're looking for a deal. I've walked through every department in the store a couple of times but most of what I look at is the food, housewares, toys and books. They had a massive deal on some books. the one day I was there and I walked out with a basket full for three dollars. They have a loyalty program which is worth signing up for and you receive messages about sales and deals they have. The employees have all been friendly and helpful, and the stores have been clean. read more

The service here is excellent,the selection is very good I usually buy most of my books here and the value is terrific.

This is the most organized Ollie's I've ever stepped foot in. Very sweet helpful employees. They even found me the last of some fall plates I was searching for. It was easy to spend my dollars there due to how nicely everything was displayed. This is one of the best places to grab books if you have any avid readers to shop for. read more

A large store with so many closeout items. Wide variety, grouped well so you can browse sections or just wander the whole place. I love their children's book section. Great deals on kitchen items and toys. An entire corner for rugs. Plus, candy and cheap-o electronics and As Seen On TV schlock you might've been wondering if you should try. Staff is friendly, and prices are great. It's hard to leave the store with several things you might not have even intended to buy (during that visit, or ever). They have a very good return policy but I've never need to use it. read more

Man I feel like I've been missing out here! Holy book section ya'll! We are a book nerd family and our daughter is still on board books, and they had a ton of options for here. All of them were very cheap and she loved looking through them all. It was our first time into one of these stores, so we wondered through each aisles, checking out all the different things. I was a bit surprised by all the food they had, not sure why, but I didn't think about them offering food. I second Nancee's take on this place that it feels like a warehouse version of Big Lots! We got a couple books, a few household staples like laundry items, and a couple of other things we randomly saw. We don't really live close to any of their locations, but we will make it a point to try and visit them again! I just encountered the rudest manager ever trying to negotiate a price with me when clearly the signage said the price. I was interested in buying a comforter that were all marked down to $39.99 I have the picture of the entire display that clearly says $39.99 when I got up to the register it rang up $99.00 I took a picture of the display and he argued with me stating that the employees put the comforters in the wrong place. The customer gets the $39.99 he said he didn't care I told him I was going to Yelp and call home office he said he didn't care! Where do you guys find these people at? Seriously!! I came here for the first time after seeing an add for something I have been looking for. I didn't know what to expect, not having been here before. When I stepped through the front door I had to pause. It was overwhelming, and looked like a massive warehouse full of STUFF. It's a hodgepodge of anything and everything you can think of that, from what I understand, didn't sell in the major retail stores; like food, toys, books, health and beauty, gardening...you name it. I made my way to the section I was looking for, got my goods, and was ready to get out of dodge. There was one lane open, and one person ahead of me. Ten minutes later and was I am still standing in line while the lady ahead of me was returning some items, and purchasing some new ones. The line was mounting behind me and down the isle. There was absolutely no urgency with the cashier and she didn't request assistance for another register to be opened. Finally, the lady ahead of me gets her receipt and walks away, leaving her cart in front of me, blocking me from the register. Now I'm really agitated by the inconsiderateness of other people and have to mover her cart to the side to check out. Who does that? All in all it's an interesting concept and marketing tool. Cheep crap sold for cheap, that no one else wanted. And if you buy it and decide you don't want it, take it back for a full refund. That's what Ollie says. Happy hunting! read more

This store has a little bit of everything, in the best way possible. I got an entire cart full of stuff for $130. We got two cute kitchen floor mats, 20 specialty lightbulbs, kitchen gadgets, snacks, and a large assortment of unique toys. This all probably would've cost $250 at Target or Walmart. Ollie's reminds me of a new version of Big lots but litteraly stacked with merchandise from ceiling to floor. You really don't want to come here looking for anything in particular, this is a closeout store, where the items they sell are from other retailers that are selling out of things or discontinuing them. It is pretty organized but being so new it's quite crowded. There signs everywhere telling you where to find items and what their policies are on customer service and exactly what the return policy is; which is a customer service workers dream in my opinion. My mom was able to find a few kitchen hand towels that she liked and we find a huge can of mixed nuts as well. Like any other store, do your price checking before buying. They post their price and the other guys price, just make sure you are getting the best price. Happy shopping! read more

I was excited to see a Ollie's in Florida. My first one I went to was in March in Forest City NC. This store is really a great place to go for some deals. If I lived by one I would shop here all the time. This one is a bit far for my parents a little over a hour from their house. It was worth checking it out my Mom bought some stuff and saved some money. There was alot of the same stuff I remember In the NC store. I'm sure merchandise changes being a closeout store. I talked to the girl standing at the door and she told me more are opening. I guess it's a east coast place for now. I did read another person's review that it was like big lots. It sorta reminds me of one.. It's worth checking out if your near one. Especially if your into books/cookbooks they have awesome prices on them. Next time I am in Florida I would for sure stop back to see what they have. read more

This is one of the times I wish Yelp had half star increments, as I would rate Ollie's a 3.5 instead of a 3. I would say I'm a fan of the store, but I can't give the review a full 4 stars. It is due to this particular Ollie's being the first one I've ever visited. As of this review, it is a bit of a drive (3 hours, one way) for me and there's no local store as of yet. Truth be told, it is too far a drive to get discounted items. Outside of that, and the reason I say I'd rate Ollie's a 3.5, is because it reminded me of Building #19 in Massachusetts. All the way down to the advertising logos / drawings. It also had a lot of the same inventory Building #19 and its' subsidiaries would have. From appliances to books, coffee and rugs, there was everything you could imagine in between these items and past them as well. It is a big store that amazed me because I truly felt I was back home and paying a visit to #19¾ in Norwood. I ended up buying a few things, although I did not sign up for the rewards card. Yes, they have a rewards card and its called Ollie's Army. For every 250 points ($250... 1 point = $1), you get 10% off your next purchase. It'd be pretty easy to accrue 250 points quickly if you're not paying attention. Had I signed up for the free program, I would have received about 15 points in my one visit. A person I went with would have accrued 20 points. Not much when you are aiming for 250, but it's a start. Plus, with rugs and furniture being sold, you could outfit a room in your house for at least 125 points. One more trip like that, even for small items, you're good for your next purchase. After doing some research while writing this review, it only figures that my amazement of the similarity to the New England store is due to the fact Ollie's paid a song for the trademark information. Due to #19 filing bankruptcy and eventually closing every outlet, Ollie's stepped in and bought the rights to use a lot of the slogans, signage, etc. Considering Ollie's has been using "Good Stuff Cheap" for the better part of 30 years, it's more reason I felt like I was at home in the store. Will I go back? Only if I'm in the area again. There were some other small items I probably would have picked up, had I not already boosted the local economy in other stores. Maybe if they open one closer to Fort Myers, I'll look into updating a review... even making one for that location. read more

First and foremost Ollie's is not Handicap accessible...having never shopped in a Ollie's before I called ahead to inquire if they carried microwaves and was insured that they did...I also inquired as to whether or not if they had motorized wheel chairs...not only do they not have motorized wheel chairs they do not have wheel chairs at all...even with that knowledge I went there in hope of saving money. Housewares is located almost to the very back of the store... No microwaves to be found...or employees to ask for assistance... walked back to the front of the store in great pain from advanced arthritis in both knees and I walk bone on bone and along with severe asthma and shortness of breath I found many employees who offered no assistance...I found one who checked and said yes there was three available in the isle I had already checked and rechecked in...I walked back to housewares in great pain only to find out the employees do not know the difference in a microwave and a toaster oven...Would I recommend shopping in this store...NO... But if you do shop at your own risk! read more

Made a trip to Ollies to buy two window a/c that where on sale for 79.99, There where no a/c for 79.99 the next cheapest one was 106.00. I'm going AOL from Ollies army, never to return. Good bye Ollie. read more
