Doug took our down payment in October and was supposed to start work either the week of Nov or 1st week of Dec. I was told that he could not start on time because of other priorities with his septic business. I had no idea Spring would come and he would tell us that he could no longer help us. While there were several weather delays beyond his control, there are several text messages I have where I am clearly told he has other priorities. In addition, not once did Doug call me or text me on his own to update me or inform me of delays. When he did not show up to start my project, I had to email him two weeks later. He never once picked up the phone to explain things or initiated an update on a delay. His communication became increasingly abrupt and then he cancelled the job via text. He didn't have time to communicate or to give me a refund but had no problem picking up my $1,000 deposit check and deposited it in his bank immediately. I'm now left in Spring at square 1 looking for a landscaper when most are already contracted for jobs. I have no doubt Doug will respond to this review blaming the weather on these delays and saying that we were unreasonable. I have text messages showing that he told me he could not start due to other projects when the weather was better. I also would challenge Doug to say if he ever called us even one time to explain the delay or what to expect when he could re-commit to the project. Either way, we were left out in the lurch and Doug just cancelled our work with no notice and in a very unprofessional way when all we were looking for were answers.

We got ahold of one of his employees and he stated the owner bounced all their paychecks and told them they no longer have jobs. I will be filing in small claims court, but I feel this will do no good. Beware this is not an honest or reputable company.
