It's the place to go in my mind when your in Sherwood Park. This business does it's part by offering a great selection of hockey sticks, equipment and accessories. During the of season they stock lacrosse equipment and roller hockey gear. Their prices are competitive to major box stores but the big kicker is the knowledge of the staff and the customer service. If you need your equipment cleaned, go here. They do a fantastic job of getting out the odours. Need a skate sharpening? Go here. They do a fantastic job and will cut your blades to your preference. They also do skate repairs and blade replacements.

I've been a customer for over 5 years now and won't take any of my family member skates anywhere other than to Wayne. Wayne has a great staff who inbody the same spirit and passion that he has for the most important piece of equipment to play the game of hockey. It is an interesting little collection of cell phone stores,family owned restaurants,grocery,and specialty stores. They are also the home of the best Tim Hortons in the city in my opinion. Even with the long line ups there is a generous sized dining room or a spaceous parking lot outside to sit on the hood of your car and sip your ice caps in warmer weather (excuse me while I reminisce about summer hang outs with my friends my first year of college). There is nothing for clothing in here so if your shopping for new outfits you will still have to make your way over to Millwoods Town Center. Also the taco bell has been out of business for awhile and I desperately wish someone would take over the space as the outside of the building is starting to look a little worn down. Strip malls are never usually life altering shopping experiences but I still think Main Street Shopping plaza can be a great stop for those who like to do their grocery shopping in a less crowded store or those wanting a unique place to grab a bite

Main Street is a shopping plaza that is right across from Millwoods Town Center. I'm not sure why…read moreit's called "Main Street" because there's nothing very "main" about the street it's on. Oh well. The plaza is mostly made up of local stores but also has many retail chains as well. There's a decent Chinese takeout restaurant (South Szechaun Pak Lok House), a skate & snowboarding store (Rumor), a couple beauty spas, a few family-owned restaurants, a good liquor store (Liquor Depot) and much more. There's also a BMO and HSBC, if you do need some banking done. The selection of store is actually quite diverse. Oh, and it has a Taco Bell. Cheap burritos for the win! I see a lot less Taco Bells in Canada than when I used to live in the US. If you're looking for more specialty stores you might want to come here instead of the Millwoods Town Center. Other than that, both offer the same experience, except Main Street Plaza is outdoors and slightly more diverse.

This little shop is conveniently located in Sturgeon Plaza just down the road from Akinsdale/Kinex arenas. Granted we haven't stepped on the ice yet in our freshly 5/8 sharpened skates but I'm confident the job was done with care. Ron took the time to discuss with me what kind of skating the hubs and kiddo do and asked us to let him know what we think and to pop back in if we'd like any adjustments. The shop also buys and sells used hockey, ringette, and lacrosse equipment. My son needs to go up a size in skates for spring hockey so we will be back very soon to check out the selection!

This program helps the staff figure out the best footwear for you, taking into consideration the analysis results, your current running/hiking lifestyle and your desires in looking for that best-matched shoe They helped me pick out my first pair of Altras to improve my running technique with my flat-footed dew-beaters The shoes look stunning and feel pretty good with a wider midsole space for my flat arches to fall on (versus falling out of my shoe on the inside of my foot). I was pleasantly surprised by the array of jewellery available by local artists. The store was bright, airy, modern, and fresh! I loved the tree at the entrance to the store used to display local jewellery! I found most of the clothing a little out of my price range - but many beautiful pieces none the less. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous little change purse after drooling over dozens and dozens of items.
