I had the pleasure to work with Paul Johnston at Stars and Pipes Plumbing to install two new chair…read moreheight toilets for a client who just bought a home. The home owner needed to use a wheel chair and the shorter toilet height was not ideal to use. Paul was very communicative about when he would arrive at the property. He had all the tools and quickly reviewed the job site and started working removing the two toilets. I had bought to new toilets only and I was not sure about if I needed to replace the water angle stop or supply line. He has the parts to do that, but after inspecting the valve and line confirmed we did not need to replace them if I did not want to. He expertly drained the toilet and was able to take it out of the home with no leaking water. Once the toilets were removed, he inspected the toilet ring flange and confirmed if the new toilet would be able to be securely installed. He scraped old caulking from the previous toilets and then started to install the new bolts and wax rings. Once the toilets were placed and tightened down, he checked the fit and if the toilets were "rocking" or not. One toilet did not have a flat surface, so he shimmed it for a solid fit. He didn't just stop there. Then he caulked around the base of the toilet and floor to make sure that any sewer gas would be contained if the wax ring had ever lost its seal. The caulking also made the finished toilet install look professional and finished. He then made sure to test out the toilets with a few flushes to make sure nothing was astray. This may sound like a long description, however I have never seen a plumber be so fast, clean and efficient. I have to say I never thought installing a toilet could be such a pleasant experience and I will definitely call him again for my plumbing needs.

The yard is an acre, and about half of that is now in need of major repair. They didn't seed the mound or the areas that they destroyed.(they literally threw a handful of seed here or there). The mound is so steep on one side that we are trying to figure out how we're going to cut it. They had leftover sand and rather than take it with them, they just spread it out in a four inch layer that now has to be removed in order to grow any grass there again. They tried to cut corners wherever possible. Tried to use the twenty year old pump rather than a new one. These people are not the easiest or the most pleasant to deal with. THIS COMPANY IS A BIG THUMBS DOWN IN MY BOOK!!!!!!!!
