Rather than providing assistance or directing me to someone who could help, I felt as though I was being interrogated about why I needed the information. The tone of the conversation was dismissive and lacked the courtesy and respect that customers deserve. Customer service should be built on professionalism, patience, and respect. Even when information cannot be provided, there is a respectful way to communicate that to customers. Based on this experience, I was left feeling frustrated and undervalued. I hope management reviews customer service standards and provides additional training to ensure future customers are treated with dignity and respect.

There are MANY unhappy clients of Odie, yet the credit union seems to brush this off as nearly meaningless, a thing of the past. I feel WSECU is misleading its loyal members to make money rather than serving the members' best interests. In my view WSECU should always be truthful, accurate, honest, perform due diligence on the insurance products they sell, and guide their members in making well informed decisions about insurance as they do in other areas of business. Explaining things to Diana, she said "I have a simple answer". Within minutes she had it all sorted and the title company was satisfied. Her experience and knowledge really showed. Perhaps that may explain why she is an officer in the bank at her young age (I am 74 so every one is young!). And, I might add, very pleasant to work with. Like old time, home town, banking!!!

I am a 33 year active duty military member who applied for a Home loan with Olympic Federal Credit…read moreUnion. I have a 780+ credit score and was putting 20% down. I locked my loan in at 4.1%, just before the feds raised rates again the next week. We had just paid for and received the $900 appraisal (later we found out that an appraisal wasn't even required on a home that was only a year old). At this point, they now wouldn't do my loan without some property clean up of old vehicles, a home inspection, and a requirement to put funds in escrow to do cosmetic repairs in the home, even though the home had just received a certificate of occupancy in 2021. I was also told by my loan officer, Rachel Rudenski, that her team had a meeting and the consensus was "this really isn't the property that they want to have a mortgage with." We truly believe all of this was done so that they simply did not have to to honor the 4.1% rate...coincidently enough, rates had rose to +5% by this time. Subsequently, we went to another lender with the same appraisal (which they said wasn't even required) the next day and closed in less than 2 weeks... Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation to the rescue!! Karen Orr was great! I would advise anyone trying to get a home loan to think twice about using Olympic Federal Credit Union. It is my opinion that they are more interested in maximizing profit rather than securing a loan for someone that is exceptionally qualified. You may find yourself incurring numerous additional costs, at a higher interest, and an unusually long time to close. Consumer beware.

Wanting to meet with them to deal with my existing accounts and open one with my daughter, I attempted to schedule an appointment. I used their online appointment request form a week ahead of my desired date. Although promised a 1-2 business day response, I never heard from anyone. So, the day before I wanted to meet, I attempted to call the office in Washington State where I was planning to go. My call ended up with a nice man in Tampa instead. He helped as much as he could and sent a message to the office I was trying to reach, asking them to contact me. They did not do that, and I had to cancel my plans with my daughter. I still have not heard back from them. I think they were not prepared for the huge increase in customers due to their acquisition of Ameritrade, especially after closing many offices over the past four years. Hopefully, the lawsuit to unwind this merger will succeed, but a resolution to that suit will still be years away. Meanwhile, I am shopping for a new place for my investments, because I can no longer trust Schwab to act in any competent manner.
