I really appreciate that he takes the time to answer any questions and educate you on how to care for your garage door (so that you won't have to call them out again sooner than necessary). Daniel was the one who replaced the spring on my garage door about two years ago. My brother's garage door just broke, and he said he didn't even know who to call... well, I secretly called Olympia Overhead Doors the next day. The gal I spoke to on the phone was wonderful. She was able to get me on Daniel's schedule (my favorite technician!!!) for that very afternoon. I have a key to my brother's house, so we were able to pull off a surprise repair. I cannot say enough good things about Olympia Overhead Doors and especially technician Jason. First of all, they came out the same day we called which was incredibly helpful and responsive. Jason could not have been nicer or more professional. He let me hang around and watch which I know can sometimes be annoying to some, but Jason welcomed my presence. He was thorough and walked me through everything he was doing. By the time he figured out the problem, a bad motherboard, it was clear to me that was the problem. I trusted him regardless, but again it was just nice to understand and comprehend the cause. He was quick in the fix and actually had the part on the truck. How incredible is that? Anyway, when the motherboard was replaced, Jason went on to adjust the door, a very welcome add on that I didn't even ask for and finished up by lubricating everything. We could not be happier with the service call and I recommend that you do not hesitate to call them. I was pleased years ago when they installed my new door; so well done that nothing for years has needed attention. Works great. This preventive maintenance visit led to discovery of a crack on one piece of door panel frame (we use it a lot!), but the technician figured out a temp fix on the spot and did so, buying me time to consider getting a new door....and I'll get it from them if I do. He answered all questions I had and taught me about features I didn't know I had. Didn't try to talk me into buying anything, in fact talked me out of buying new battery as I didn't need it yet. Integrity. Price for visit was as promised; extra labor/part clearly explained with the option not to do it explained. Office called ahead to remind me; Ken called ahead to let me know he'd be there soon. Showed up exactly on time. He was friendly, efficient, clear communicator with honest answers. It doesn't get any better than this! From the Receptionist to the Sales Staff to the Installer, we've had a wonderful experience with choosing and installing doors. We needed 3 insulated overhead doors with insulated window lights, and weren't sure what would look best with our home plus hold up in cold or damp weather. Our Salesperson, Eric Ryan, knows his product line inside-out; he helped us choose exactly the right doors. He measured and special-ordered each door, then sent a fantastic Installer, Randy. Eric followed up to make sure we were satisfied, as well. Randy the Installer, made sure the doors fit properly (which unexpectedly necessitated some last-minute extra framing adjustments), and carefully made sure the large doors were adjusted to lift easily. This business really exemplifies what great customer service is suppose to be like. From the lady I spoke with on the phone to set up the service to Ken, the guy who came out to service my garage door. Their professionalism and patience in listening to a customer is beyond excellent. This is what I call "old school customer service." In speaking of "old school" they send Ken out who really showed his old school skill set. He took one look at my garage door and knew exactly what the issue was. He fixed the main problem, adjusted a few other things, lubed a few more things and my very old garage door was operating like new. This world needs a few more "Kens" in it. When I called to request their service I was greet by a friendly, helpful woman who was able to schedule a technician to come over that same day. I had the pleasure of having KEN come and install a garage door opener. He showed on time, as planned, and was very professional and polite. He didn't mind me "hanging around" and observing while he was working, and was kind and patient enough to answer my rudimentary, curious questions. Very knowledgeable man who worked efficiently, while still explaining what/why he was doing each step. Our home was built in the 1970s. Accordingly, it is one big heavy wooden door. Recently, the spring on the garage door broke..making it impossible to lift the door. We were "land locked". On the phone, the personnel at Olympia Overhead Door could not have been more pleasant and professional, and they truly worked with our schedule, arranging an early morning on a Friday Jason called in advance to confirm his arrival. He showed up right on time, and fully and effectively addressed all of our problems and concerns. Everything was inspected, adjusted, lubricated, parts subject to wear were replaced, and the price was VERY reasonable. Some time ago, Overhead doors of Lacy installed a Liftmaster garage door opener for me and it has worked well. However, after a goodly number of years, the wireless keypad decided to stop working. I went to Overhead Doors in Lacy where they looked up my account to confirm the model garage door opener I had purchased and selected a new keypad for my model. The receptionist ( maybe Julie??) was very friendly and helpful in finding this information. After getting the keypad for me Robert helped me to program the opener as far as he could without being in the location of the door. With the help of the staff in Lacy, it took me about 20 seconds to finish the programming once I arrived at home and another two minutes to remove the old keypad and install the new one. I just bought my house back in May of 2020. I noticed a strange sound emanating from garage door and/or mechanism, and I also noticed part of the bottom weather strip had torn off. I called Olympia Overhead Doors and spoke to Julie (I believe her name is) and made an appointment. Ken from Oly Doors was my service technician. He wore his mask and he was very respectful. Ken performed general services on my garage door and its mechanisms, and he also replaced the bottom weather strip. Ken also adjusted the door's close limit, to accommodate the height of the newly installed weather strip. Additionally, Ken replaced the lightbulbs in the motor, and he tested my remote control. Excellent experience from setting up an appointment to courtesy calls regarding the expected arrival time, to problem analysis and explanation of options. Our service tech was Miles. Very knowledgeable. Based on his assessment we decided to replace our aging and broken garage door opener rather than have him repair it. The installation went flawlessly, and he suggested a replacement of the deteriorating rubber sealing strip at the bottom of the garage door which we had him do. Miles was very professional and efficient and obviously knows his garage doors! He walked us through everything we need to know following the installation and even re-programmed our vehicle's Homelink remote button. I just purchased a used home and decided to start out right with properly tuned garage doors. I called Olympia Overhead Doors and got an appointment. Ken showed up right on time, took a look and started the service. It turned out that one of the main door springs was way under tension and would have presented a problem if we ever tried to manually open the door. We also had some auto reverse misadjustments that Ken took care of. Ken had no problem with me watching him work and answering every question I came up with -- a sign of an expert is if they love to talk about what they are doing while doing it. One of our Garage door springs had broken, so I called Olympia Overhead Doors. We were added to the schedule straight away and for the following day -- like it was the normal way they do business. Turns out it is! Day-of, Daniel called to confirm the appointment and was able to come a bit early. Daniel is REALLY good at what he does, and explained to me what he was doing along the way. He is practically non-stop motion and amazingly efficient in his approach to work. He had our door back in business in short order. This company is professional from beginning to end. The receptionist who answered the service call answered all my questions clearly and went over possible options. The tech, Daniel, gave a call about 15 minutes before he arrived which is always nice. The window for arrival was also only 2 hours instead of the often 3 to 4 hours. Daniel was pleasant, professional, answered my questions with clear explanations and often showing me where/what the problem was or could be. He did the work quickly as well. We appreciated his phone call to let us know that he was on his way and when he arrived it was definitely within the window of time the company had given us last week. Olympia Overhead Doors has serviced my garage for 4 years. They perform maintenance to keep the door and garage door opener in great shape. Two years ago, they installed a LiftMaster garage opener that operates by battery if the electricity goes out and can be operated wirelessly. It's easy to get an appointment and their prices are reasonable. Today, Daniel arrived on time and was masked. He explained what he was going to do and recommended having a spare battery on hand so that I didn't need to worry about the opener working if our power goes out (which it does periodically). The service tech, Daniel, was quick and efficient in fixing our garage door that had a broken spring. He was professional and trustworthy. As it turned out, the garage door (which is a really heavy one) had not been properly installed in the past, and he showed us some warped screws and hardware from mechanical stress from the previous improper setup. He remounted the brackets and added an extra spring in addition to the one that needed replacing so that the system can now handle the heavy door. I'm glad an experienced and straight-shooting guy like Daniel came by so that we are now safe in our home, as the old setup was quite dangerous. read more

Yesterday our garage door opening system broke. Called Olydoors and told Daniel we had a problem which we thought was just one of the cables. Daniel made an appointment for today! Daniel called this morning and asked to arrive early which he did. He quickly discovered that it was one the springs that had broken. Recommended that we replace both because when one goes the other is close behind. He went straight to work in the almost pitch dark part of our garage, was done in about an hour.
