John fixed the sanitary drain in front of our house. The original old line was broken and we were at risk of having a back up. John used a camera to figure out the extent of the issue and then communicated clearly with us about what was needed to fix the problem. He hired a couple of guys to do the digging on our front lawn who were great and worked hard. Something I especially appreciated was how John got the necessary permits from the City of Victoria to make sure the job was done to code. He communicated with the city plumbing inspector and made the arrangements for the inspections so we didn't have to worry about that. The pipes are now all new and have the proper back flow valves. John and his crew did a Fabulous job solving my plumbing emergency and replacing my root clogged drains. He made sure that I was informed about the process and that I understood what they were doing and why. This job required a LOT of dirt being moved and they made every effort to minimize the mess in my garden and to not inconvenience me too much. John is a terrific plumber and a great communicator who always follows up with a phone call or a text to let you know when he will be on the job, when it will be finished and how much it will cost. I have called him on a Saturday night for a blockage, and he was there within the hour, and didn't charge any more than he would for a daytime call! I've also had to call him for large jobs e.g. an outside drainage emergency, with water pouring into the basement. Again, John and his guys were there right away and spent many miserable hours digging in the pouring rain until they could put in a new drainage system that fixed the problem. I called John in regards to a water main leak and he responded promptly. He figured out what he needed to do and arranged permits with the city ,contacted the CRD water people as to what needed to happen, explained to us his plan,and got right to work. Everything went smoothly and according to plan. An extra person was required, electrician for grounding, and John arranged this as well.
