The store was very clean and very well laid out. Quite a few good varieties and selection for every item. The prices are reasonable. We didn't purchase a lot of things. There was a table full of samples to try out - you can select which sample you want to try and how many times. We did try quite a few items and surprisingly we liked quite a few of them and almost all of them were store brand and we bought many of them. We also bought khaman dhokla - which was very disappointing. Not fresh and also as it was dipped or topped in a sugar syrup. Coming from a Gujarati store, khaman was very disappointing. Same for Khichu - it was so dry and unflavoured. We topped with some pickle masala and still it was not pleasing at all. We bought chappatis and they were absolutely amazing. Soft, fresh and well made and reasonably priced. Part of the taste was because of a lot oil was used when the dough was prepared. Only thing we didn't like is there were no ingredients on the packaging. If management is reading this please add ingredients to as many items that are store made.

This place is huge, and sells all kinds of things. Parking is a bit hectic, even at 1:45 on a Thursday afternoon. The parking spots right in front of the Food Mart are very small, and scary for a big SUV like mine. But there is very frequent turnover, and if you just drive around the lot for 30 seconds, someone will be pulling out. The parking spaces in front of the stores facing the Food Mart are larger and a bit easier to navigate. This mall is great fun to go to. They have all manner of foods (fresh noodles! Great fruits! Asian stuffed toys and cosmetics! Fresh meat and seafood! The list goes on and on ...) and an excellent prepared food counter, and a Chatime outlet. We bought some mochi, some enormous strawberries, and a variety of dim sums from the food counter. Our selections included fried dough sticks (they actually reheat well in the air-fryer), fried squid, scallion pancakes, seafood and pork dumplings, some delicious pork and shrimp mini-pancakes. The squid was the way my daughter likes it (chewy), and I enjoyed some as well. Everything else was great, although the dumplings were a bit past their peak, and should have been switched out for new ones. We also enjoyed some delicious bubble tea from Chatime, which always has new, seasonal selections to tempt you. Basically, a trip to the Asia Food Mart is really fun, as they have such a diversity of products. Next time, I'm coming here to shop "for real" (meaning actual groceries, as opposed to lunch or snacks). The butchery and fish counters serve really fresh food at a good price, and there are some great deals on produce. You can't get around the fact that this is a snack haven. As far as an Asian grocery stores go, this is one of the cleaner, and better organized ones that I have been to, maybe ever. Not only are they clean, but they have a great variety of snacks and drinks, as well as your standard fare for everyday cooking. To me, the star of this place has to be their prepared foods area. Evidently after 8pm, they mark down lots of their prepared food items. From dim sum, to noodles, fried rice and other entrees, you can score plenty of items for $4-6 which were normally 2-3x that. I felt like a kid in a candy store and began snatching and hording all the things. I had to stop and remind myself we were on vacation, and would be living out of hotels for the next few days, so I limited myself to just a handful of items. We got some noodles, fried rice and dumplings, which we would end up eating for breakfast over the next few days. While nothing was mind blowing per se, the food was solid and certainly economical. If I lived in this area, I could see myself coming here on the regular just for the prepared foods. OVERALL - almost wish I hadn't come to this place, so I'd never knew what I was missing. We didn't have long to look around, but it was a must since were just leaving the community centre across the street. I love the selection of feta, cheeses, olive oils, olives, jarred vine leaves for dolma/dolmades, oven ready Greek appetizers and imported products. There are not too many places in Markham that you can pick up a variety of feta cheeses and Greek products and if you do, they are not stocked regularly or fresh. We picked up 2 packs of super delish Kourabiedes that just melt in your mouth! Their baked goods are from Serano Bakery (one of my fav and one of the best in Greek town!). They have brought the best of Greece to this hidden gem in Markham and as foodie of everything Mediterranean and Middle Eastern, i am in heaven! They are located in a plaza (facing) Highway 7 at Albert Street. There is no street access from Highway 7. The entrance to the plaza is on Albert Street across from the Markham Village Community Centre. Looking forward to going back to try out more products when i have more time for shopping. I love this addition to Markham near Main Street and can't wait to go back!

To be honest, this was probably their warehouse and offices that they reserved a corner of the building to setup a grocery storefront and that's fine by me. Summary: It's not a must come visit, however if you live in the area and looking for a good spot to hit up all your Taiwanese goods and products, look no further! Also for any travelers that might be staying in the Markham area, and maybe you can't get Taiwanese goods that easily, then for sure come check it out. It's not as modern and aesthetically upscale as the newer Taiwanese Maeli Market but it still will hit that Taiwanese spot.
