In the middle of the second week of December, 2020, I placed an on-line order for 3 items that were shown on their web site to be "in stock". The flag at the top of the web site stated that processing times were currently 7-14 days. Regardless of their "processing time", their time to charge my credit card was not 7-14 days; more like 7-14 minutes. After a week, my order was still showing as "pending", while the flag at the top of the web site now stated that processing time was 2-4 days. Hmmm... After another week, with my order still showing "pending" (and the flag still showing 2-4 days), I used their online "contact us" form to ask for an update on the status of my order. Crickets. 4 days later, with the order still showing "pending", I again used the online "contact us" form to ask for an update. Crickets. It was now well into the 4th week since my order was placed, so I again tried contacting them, only this time I gave them a deadline by which I expected my order to ship, or I would be contacting the credit card company to dispute the charge. Magically, I got a response this time, including a phone number to call them back. They gave me some song and dance about a software problem that prevented the order from begin sent to their distributor. WHAT??? The web site stated the items were in stock! What does a distributor have to do with this? They offered to cancel the order, but I would pay a cancellation fee. No way. I told them this was THEIR problem, not mine, that I don't want to cancel the order; I want the order shipped; I told them (again) that if the order was not shipped with days, I would be disputing the charge. The order finally arrived, more than a month late. I will never do business with these people again. 1. Listing items as in stock when they were not. 2. Charging my credit card for items they do not have, and have no near-term way of delivering. 3. Ignoring repeated contact from the customer. 4. Only responding after a promise to hit their bottom line by disputing the charge. I really have no idea if they did have a software problem, and in the end, that does not matter. This company is either incapable of handling an online business or are fraudulently taking orders and charging the card for items listed in stock which are not in stock (or both). Incompetent or fraudulent. It doesn't really matter. Just don't do business with them. read more

The customer service was excellent and I would have given 5 stars if the shipping was faster. I bought my rifle the Monday before Thanksgiving. The website says 3-5 days for shipping and I was hoping it would have shipped Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. It didn't, it shipped Tuesday the following week with FedEx. Then FedEx added one more day to the two day delivery because they are FedEx. Instead of my rifle being delivered on Friday it was delivered on Monday. My FFL needed a day to check in there new arrivals, so I finally saw the rifle on Tuesday, 15 days after I paid for the rifle. Now 10 more days for my waiting period. read more

I actually bought a gun awhile back and heard about all the horrible reviews that Omaha Outdoors got *recently*, obviously they didn't have bad reviews in the past. All these new bad reviews are during this worldwide pandemic. Its obvious things take longer to get now because all these people buying guns now are doing during a world crisis. Even the Police department isn't responding to petty crimes now, you can get robbed and they wouldn't even do a thing. That is why these people want guns right away. But think about it, everyone is trying to buy and its overwhelming their staff. If your business is revolved around serving possibly 10-20 customers a day, now because of this crisis that number has increased to 50-100+ customers a day it is very difficult to help people because you still only get 8 hours a day to work not more. Give them a break and consider the realistic situation that they are being overwhelmed with new uneducated clients who think buying a gun is that easy. NO, it is not that easy to buy a gun and especially not easy during a worldwide crisis going on. Schools aren't open, no retail business should be open unless it is essential. Get real people. Take your negative review and shove it back up your bunghole. I had an amazing experience buying my ZEV Glock 17 and much more from Omaha Outdoors. They comply with all government and state regulations, all that paperwork takes time. They cannot magically make rules disappear because you are desperate to have your gun right away. I can't even get a live person on the phone when I called the Houston Police Department about a theft this past Saturday. Is your life ruined because you don't get a reply instantly when they are being bombarded by last minute gun shoppers who aren't educated with what is going on in the world and the laws involved with buying firearms? Get real, this is a sold legitimate family owned company that has been around for more than half a decade. read more

I ordered some magazines through their website. They charged my card for the order the same day. I received an order confirmation from them, but they never sent any updates beyond that. 13 days later after I had emailed and called someone followed up with me via email explaining they were behind, but the items would ship soon. More days went by and they emailed to say 1 item was now out of stock but they could ship the other item. I agreed. More days go by and I received a full order cancellation without a call. Most terrible customer experience I've had in at least a decade. Unfortunate that they could not be bothered to communicate with me in a timely and accurate basis and allow me to get the items I wanted from others sellers. I understand these are unusual times, but leaving your customer hanging without timely communication is not OK enough for me to try them again any time soon. read more

I ordered and quickly received an Agency barrel for my Glock at a fair price. Only problem was that the barrel was defective and would not even fit on the gun. An email and a call to Omaha yielded no reply whatsoever. That was in April. It's nearly August and still not a peep. After waiting for a response for quite a while I contacted and worked with Agency to get the barrel swapped out, which took well over two months. I was solicited for a review of the product by Omaha, but when my review told this same story it was canned and never got posted. Let the snarky replies by the company to negative reviews speak for themselves. Let the reviews stating a complete lack of response to a problem speak for themselves. Online sales slow as molasses, but somehow wanna tack UPS shipping of $35 to an order. Ok, that's fine if your processing time was cut short after ordering , but to wait 3-6 days is stupid. Although most competitors state processing could take that long , even the biggest dealers can have your order out on at least the second day. I recently had a mom and pop ship out the same day, another place maybe the second day. These guys have no excuse. If you're gonna take your sweet ass time then at least least provide a discounted shipping rate like everyone else or ship for free. It takes seconds to pay for the thing but a week to walk a few feet and box it up to go? What a sham! Have to say after reading some of these reviews, was a little scared to order through them. Glad I took the chance. I placed an order April 6th 10pm CST and sent a follow up email the next day at 11:20 am. Before 3pm CST I had got a response(after reading previous reviews was kinda shocked). The following day on the 7th, they let me know they needed my FFL to send in their updated paperwork. Got my FFL to send in right away, sent Omaha a note to let them know. April, 8th at 9am got another response to my question about my item being in-stock, as I know computers and guns on a shelf don't always match up and given the massive run on these businesses, I'd understand if their site showed something available that was actually. However they let me know the item was tagged to me in their their computer(yeah know, still might not be on shelf). 11:40 am(still April, 8th) get order confirmation that my FFL info has been updated and confirmed, shipping tracking number and confirmation my item is shipping. So lets break this down. Ordered April 6th, 10 pm and by April 8th 11:40 am I had confirmation and tracking number. So April 7th they walk into their business with probably 2 thousand plus emails ect and by April 8th, before noon they have my item shipping. I honestly can't imagine the neediness and self loathing of these other peoples reviews! Like do you live under a rock or think your the only person that matters to this business. I have no idea if they have a store front, as I'm no where near Texas but from the research I did, they have 10 employee(or a owner response in a nasty review stated this) and turned my transaction around in under 48 hours during this COVID-19 pandemic. I was attempting to purchase a very difficult gun (ZEV OZ9C X-grip model) and had spent the entire day going online and searching all over the United States and calling multiple gun shops (big and small) all over America with absolutely no luck but boy did I get lucky when I click on the website for Omaha Outdoors. There was the gun right in front of me and not tagged with "out of stock". I immediately called their 800 number to verify this as I was worried ole Murphy's (Law) was going to rear its ugly head when I got Ken who is the manager of their online team and my prayers were answered. I have to say that I've never experienced this level of exceptional customer service like I did with Ken. It was the best experiences I've every had as Ken was so helpful and made sure that all my questions and especially my concerns of something going wrong as it all seemed (due the COVID and pre-election hysteria) like it was too good to be true but Ken took care of everything is such a professional and efficient manner I will this experience and I will forever be an customer of Omaha Outdoors and I'll telling all my friends, family and professional network about their"exceptional" customer service. I actually found out that they are a major distributor of ZEV Technologies (aka one of the hardest damn gun to find in America as they are always sold out everywhere and I do mean everywhere) and that Omaha ensures that they get supplies from ZEV In an expeditious manner. Ken also took the time to provide me some excellent tips about the gun and some great advice as it turns out that not only is Ken a former Marine but also a certified NRA instructor with a tremendous amount of weapons training experience so not only did I get an amazing gun but I got some amazing pointers and here's the best part. Ken told me that as a veteran I'd get 10% off my gun (which at $1,600.00 is a big deal) for which all I had to do was send him a copy of my DD-214 so for all you veterans out there this company really appreciates its customer and veterans. Sorry for going on so long but I gotta say this was the best customer service experience I've ever had and I hope this makes it way to the President of Omaha Outdoors as I can tell they have created a great customer centric environment but more importantly the Omaha Outdoors family have some of the best people in the world. So let me start by saying this... They offered a Glock i cannot seem to find anywhere but them. So i took the chance.Upon seeing it was on back ordered i realized it's a made to order item and i was given a Delivery Date off 3/24. Keep in mind i ordered the item in 3/13 before the whole stay at home orders even began.With that being said it's now 3/27 i have called twice and i was told it was going to be send by this week ...Welll today is Saturday and my order still says processing and every day the EDD changes an extra day. I am extremely disappointed i cannot seem to be given the exact delivery date on a paid item of over $500! Both gentlemen i spoke with gave me a whole lotta excuses i am still waiting for My pistol and yet to see any change on the status of my order.There customer service is not reliable or helpful! Customers who have paid for their items, fulfilled all paperwork, but can not get their order shipped, no return emails, no return phone calls in over a week etc, and as of today- their voicemail is full. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. Purchased a firearm that on the 5th round began jamming. Within 40 rounds, it jammed twice, improperly discharged and sprayed my face with gunpowder, stove piped 7 times, and refuses to extract rounds. I called them at approximately 30 days out and they refuse to show any level of accountability, referring me to the manufacturer who wants my credit card to assess the unit.
