One article he wrote was to defend your home, as opposed to just handing it over to the bank. And another article was "how to win" which uses Demand for Discovery. I wanted to save my home of almost 13 years. I wasn't looking for a "free home", but was hoping for some type of modification to make it affordable. There were major problems with the Note itself, among other things, which if defended properly, I believe could have changed the outcome. I knew Matt Weidner had been successful in the past saving homes for many people. I honestly thought I was in good hands and trusted Matt to fight for me --to defend my case--  like he did for others.  I ended up losing my home. In fact, I lost everything. Everything.  I'm a 66 yr old female, in not so good health, and unable to start over.   It most certainly appears Matt Weidner dropped the ball in my case. Public records  prove there was no Demand for Discovery, no requests for admissions,  no requests for interrogatories,  no requests for documents, etc. I could have saved $7500 from my now almost non-existent savings and feel confident I could have done better defending myself.   Certainly not any worse! I wrote to Matt recently,  advised I was unhappy with his representation and asked for an explanation.   His reply was basically  the laws had changed in favor of the banks, and that "it's just not practical to take a case like mine to trial". Really? I wish he told me that at the beginning, instead of just taking my  money.  I would have hired another attorney.  It's difficult to accept such a loss, especially when one pays good money, thinks they have hired the absolute best attorney, and that attorney winds up not defending the case. And on top of that, you've lost your home and you know you will never own one again. Heartbreaking. Moral of the Story: Don't trust your attorney or their ratings. Even the AV rating.  Rather, learn how to hire a lawyer and what they should be doing.

His bark is definitely worst than his bite. His idea of winning is delay, delay, delay and then delay some more. It's his way or the highway. Will not communicate with you. He turned me over to his junior attorney. Beware...he charges for every email sent/received. He saves them in a file until the end of the case so he can surprise you with a final bill...at least that's what he did to me. Never once sent me a statement in a year and a half. Very pessimistic. Just read his blog. If you need a political activist hire Weidner. If you need an attorney...run.
