We just had Omann do our driveway. Our old driveway was 35 years old, and in very tough shape. We received their quote, among a couple others, and were impressed by the little things they added. We had a footing for an old basketball hoop next to the driveway, which had been cut off at ground level. I also park a RV in the driveway. They had in their quote removing the old footing, and extending the driveway by 3 feet before it starts getting narrower at the end. The day they did the removal of the old driveway, I was outside to observe the process. A very professional job was done, removing the asphalt and old base, and putting down the new base. When he was done, he made sure that anything in the road was cleaned up, including bringing out an industrial blower to make sure everything was off the road. The guy on the skid steer was friendly and personable. I am familiar with asphalt paving. My father was in the business my whole life. I watched the entire paving process, and interacted with everybody on the crew. The whole process was very professional. The crew was all very friendly. At the end, our driveway looks great. The crew respected the apron in front of the garage, our new garage floor, and the yard right next to the driveway. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. read more

The estimator was very friendly and knowledgeable. The price seemed in the ballpark. The excavator came out and did a excellent job of getting the water to flow correctly. The paving crew was efficient and knowledgeable and even though their paver machine went haywire they got another one out right away and finished the job. read more

The other day I was driving with my 15 year old daughter for training purposes. We came to a stop sign at the corner of 141st Ave N and Territorial Rd in Rogers. We stopped and waited for traffic to clear. Both of us paying attention to traffic as she was goi g to make a right turn into Territorial Rd. To head towards St. Michael. We saw one of Omann (now pronounced "Oh man!") Big Bright Red Dump trucks coming. It was at least a 1/4 mile away. My daughter turned and accelerated to the speed limit of 50mph. I always pay attention to everything happening around as we are learning to Drive, it was at this time I noticed that the large red truck was approaching us very rapidly. I estimate their speed to be between 70 and 75 mph. They did not slow down. Instead, they came within one car length of our rear bumper. I instructed my daughter to maintain the speed limit not to slow down or speed up. She was pretty freaked out having this giant vehicle behind her getting closer and closer the driver of the truck was driving very aggressively, we crossed the bridge over the crow river and my daughter decided she would make a left to get out of the way using her signal and doing so the truck nearly hit the back of our vehicle, honked his horn and proceeded. At this point, I had a choice I could call the police, or I could contact the company and try to see whether or not this is the kind of thing that the ownership was supportive of. I called and received a very pleasant young lady, who then transferred me to Jessica Becktold. I informed Jessica that I had pictures. She gave me her cell phone number so that I could send pictures to her to identify the driver and speak with him. I asked that she procure an apology from him and to call me back. She said she would. No call came the rest of that day.(we called about 12:45) nor did she call back the next day. Only upon the third day when I left a message stating that I must have chosen the wrong course of action did I get a call from Jessica. She claimed that she first lost my number, and then said she had been too busy to get back to me. I found this odd since I had texted her the pictures and left two messages in the preceding two days with my telephone number. However, my frustration was increased when she claimed that the driver accused my daughter of either being on the cell phone or falling asleep, or possibly under the influence of something. He claimed she crossed the fog line. Jessica agreed that this is appropriate behavior to tailgate speed in a 1010 vehicle and to honk horn's at useful drivers when one doesn't get one's way. Essentially there was no apology. I also believe that had I not been tenacious and calling back that Jessica would've simply never called me or dealt with it whatsoever so if you want to support a business that has maniacs, driving 10 ton vehicles and doesn't care about it, by all means, engage their services. However, I would read the other one star review as it seems like they have other problems beyond garbage drivers. What is the driver on something? Never know. read more

These guys are amazing. I'm officially pronouncing their name "OH MAN", because they exceeded my expectations on the pavement patch they did for us! The most unprofessional outfit I've I've seen. One staff member threatened to run me over with the steam roller and then threatened to climb down and beat me for how I spoke to his boss earlier in the day. The "manager" yelled at me in front of young my son for driving a legally registered vehicle to the grocery store and on a lunch run on a paved road that was literally the only route I had to get to my house. The guy came flying in with his pickup and blocked me in just to hop out and start yelling at me. Any city that cares about their residents should avoid this company like the plague. They are unprofessional and should not be awarded any contracts. Outside of this incident the management doesn't have the mental capacity to manage a lemonade stand let alone these large contracts. They are completely unorganized and will create an incredible amount of frustration due to their ineptitude. Do not hire these people for any reason. They are incredibly rude and simply unstable. There should be zero tolerance for threatening violence but they're clearly OK with it. read more

What a waste of time!!!! I wish I could still give them a positive review, but there's nothing positive left about this company!! To be fair, they did a parking lot job for me back in 2015 and did great. Communication, scheduling, everything was great in 2015. I don't know what has changed, but things have gone downhill in a hurry since then. Fall 2018 I contacted Scott Omann to give me a bid on a driveway at my new home. Scott came out and looked at it, and gave me a number. I never even shopped them! I was happy with the work they did for me in 2015, and I told Scott they had the job. We weren't quite sure at that point when the house would be finished, so depending on timing, they would do the driveway in the fall, or in the spring if construction went too late in the fall. Construction did go long, and I told Scott they would be doing the job in the spring, and everything was good. Come spring 2019, we had our landscapers starting their work, which they anticipated to take 6-8 weeks. There would come a certain point where they wanted the driveway to be put in, towards the end of their project, and they would then do the finish landscape work around the driveway. We had a big meeting onsite with the landscapers, builder, and Scott Omann. Scott agreed to the schedule- Omann was needed to put the driveway in roughly 6 weeks after that meeting, so that we could keep the rest of the landscape project moving. Our landscapers just needed to call their office a week or two in advance to confirm when exactly Omann needed to be there. This was all agreed to by Scott Omann. Our landscape foreman started calling Omann to get them on the schedule, and no return phone calls. He finally called Scott to ask what was up, and Scott just told him he had to talk to Kelly in the office- Kelly runs the schedule. We could not get a return phone call out of Kelly. Our landscapers notified me of what was going on with Omann, since I had booked them directly. I started calling and emailing Scott and Kelly. I finally got an email response out of Kelly - "I DO NOT or will I ever guarantee a time frame on a project, there are to many unforeseen variables involved." We told Omann they would not be doing the job after this. What a waste of time. We had to put our entire landscape project on hold while we started over getting bids on doing the driveway. This added at least another month to the finish date on our project since the landscapers had to pull off as we waited for a driveway to be put in. As I said, Omann used to be a great company to work with, but today they are just garbage. Take your business elsewhere if you want anything done on time. Omann promises things they won't deliver. read more
