David Pinto is the loan officer for our buyer. Every day for over a week he promised to get the loan documents out for closing. And every day it didn't happen. He would even say they'll be out by 1:00pm, but didn't deliver. We are ready to close and our mortgage company completed the loan process a couple of weeks ago. David Pinto and Omega can't seem to live up to the promises on their web site. Very unprofessional. I know their customer, our buyer, is just as frustrated. We initially went through a big bank lender - the process was going well until an out of the area appraiser appraised the property at 50k under! If I could give this company zero stars I would. They did not deliver like they said they would! Dan Landis said we would close in 30 days but that never happened. We ended up closing in 2 1/2 months. And that's only because I was being persistent. Imagine how long it would take them to close if I did not keep checking up. I had to make several phone calls and I had to make several appointments to check up on my loan status because no one called to update us. I know females are more organized then our male counterparts but really guys. You guys are the "D" in disorganization. Dan worked on my case with John Karpinski and they were never on the same page. Dan would ask me for something and I would email or drop it off to him, and then John would ask me for the same thing and vice versa. I literally had to provide the same information to them 3+ times. Which means one, they lack communication skills and two, they need to brush up on their file keeping skills. Come on guys, you guys are dealing with personal information. That does not make me feel secure. Now that I think about it, I would give the one star to John. At least he was sympathetic about what I was experiencing. Recently refinanced our home, I work in the industry and called Neal right away to get information. He was very confident and informative and most importantly he was honest from the very beginning to the end. Neal and Ehrin (his loan processor) were incredible. They were on top of everything each step of the way and would email me as soon as they needed any documentation, ect. Our loan was open and closed in three weeks! It would have been sooner on Omega's end but the appraisal was somewhat delayed. I think it helped with the quick turn around that I had all my statements and documents ready for these guys (if you are getting a loan, help your loan processor and officer by getting your financial statements, tax returns and pay stubs ready... also a little tip before your appraisal install water heater straps and a carbon monoxide detector!) These guys are amazing and about as nice a group of people as you will ever find, anywhere. We moved here from Canada and had a heck of a time trying to buy a house, even though our credit ratings were very good "up north". A couple of mortgage brokers told us flat out that they couldn't help us, as it was virtually impossible to get a loan for people like us from out of the country with no U.S. credit.
