Called Omni Blinds and spoke with Erick the owner to fix the automatic blinds they installed years ago which stopped working. They sent who I assume was the receptionist as a "tech" to reprogram. Took 10mins to reprogram getting step-by-step instructions from someone else on the phone and then charged $200 (which was then reduced to $185) for the service. 3 weeks later the blinds stopped working and Erick said it would cost over $1,200 to fix, which I agreed to and he still did not show. After repeated unanswered calls to try and pay the cost upfront (cash as they claim to not accept credit cards), I began to shop around and spoke with BRICKELL BLINDS who charged half the price, came out to confirm the job on the same day and replaced the motor days later. read more

Having dealt with many home improvement contractors in SFL, dealing with Omni Blinds was refreshing. Not only did Eric show up for the estimate at the time he said he would (shocker!) but his level of courtesy and commitment to detail was a pleasure to deal with. I would later learn that what they say they will do...they do. I remember I needed my blinds delivered and installed by a certain date and they made sure it happened. My office called two guys for quotes. Eric was one of them. He came out and gave us a quote. His quote came in a little higher, but he gave me a detailed quote explaining each window and took the time to match the fabric to match the other unit in our building. As opposed to the other gentlemen who just gave me a number in a text, making me wonder how professional the service would be. I am glad we went with Omni (Eric) even though it was a little bit more. He matched the material by finding a manufacturer and got it done in a few days, way ahead of schedule. We also used him for my house and he got us shades for some windows and made some excellent suggestions for our french doors. All the windows came out great and everything looks amazing. I ended up dealing with Omni Blinds after having several quotes from other companies. I was impressed from the get go with how quickly they showed up to take measurements and how quickly they were able to quote. The rep was very knowledgeable and had wonderful ideas for my very large project of two homes at once. I was also surprised by the very competitive quote. I was kept informed the entire time regarding installation times and best of all they showed up with a professional crew at installation.
