Ate here twice for lunch over two days during a three-day stay in the city. If you're nearby or have the time, this is an easy yes. It's easy because the food is great. It's easy because the attitude is chill. The crowd is eclectic, like you would want in Montreal. The babaganoush was probably some of the best I've ever had. But I really enjoyed everything. I'm vegan, and I was really delighted that they offered such a wide selection. As a bonus, the guy who was running the place when I was there is super cute. Omnivore is hands down one of my favorite restaurants to eat at when I'm in Montreal, they have some of the best fatouche I've ever had and their sandwiches are truly unique and one of a kind. I got a Roma sandwich. They portions are HUGE for the price and it's always so hard to finish the whole meal but worth the price you pay. Not an expensive place and you HAVE to get their fresh lemonade. Staff takes a lot of pride in their work and you can tell that everything is fresh and made with love. Overall food was a 10, service was a 10, and although it was a little hot in the establishment when we arrived the staff easily accommodated and closed any open doors to put on the a/c they have indoors. Made a spontaneous stop here on our walk and cannot stop thinking about it! Beautiful decor inside, great outdoor seating option as well. Our wait staff was patient with us (first-timers) and were attentive during our time there. Batatas were delectable! Spicy garlic sauce was figuratively the icing on the cake! This place looked good so we decided to pop in and try it out. Service was a bit slow but the food ended up being pretty good. We ended up eating here twice since it was close to our hotel. Being middle eastern myself, I never expect to LOVE store bought food. But this place actually had good flavor. It's small inside but has seating. Overall I'd come back again when visiting. We stumbled across this little gem by accident and I'm so happy we did. We were seated right away. Our server was great and easy to communicate with. We ordered the Battatas and Babaghanoush. Both were so good. For our meals we had the omnivore plate-- one with beef and one with chicken. The salad on the plate was absolutely amazing. The dressing was perfect. The Roma was also very good. It's a great sandwich, but if you're really hungry you are going to want to order something with that sandwich. The food was all cooked perfectly and was served quickly. If you don't want to sit at a table, it seemed as though they do a lot of take out and order at the counter, too. read more

My friend and I was taking a walk in that area and decided to find a place for dinner and that's when we discovered this restaurant! The environment was nice and food was reasonably priced delicious! We're two girls and ordered the "Carnivore" (26CAD before tax/tips, dish as in the image), and trust me, it was well enough for the two of us! We also ordered desserts (I believe it was a lovely little cake "Namoura")- the texture was good, but just that it was perhaps way tooooooo sweet according to our standards (haha it's probably just us there's a saying "the highest compliment a Chinese can give to western desserts is 'This is not too sweet' " so if you have different threshold of tolerance it'll well be a really tasty one for you!) Omnivore presents casual, healthy eats inspired by the flavors and ingredients of Lebanese cuisine. The Herbivore plate came with a selection of five different salads/mezzes prepared and ready to dish out at the counter. My picks were the apple/beet/arugula salad; a cooked broccoli and radish salad; a couscous salad with red cabbage, chickpeas, greens, feta, and dried tomatoes; tiny cooked okra in tomato sauce; a dollop of creamy hummus topped with sumac; and a vegetarian kibbe, a crispy, chewy fritter with a filling of spinach and chickpeas. Every item on this plate was fresh and delicious, and I was a particular fan of the broccoli, the kibbe, and the hummus! Next, the namesake Omnivore plate came with a meat skewer of choice served with a mixture of green lentils and rice (flavored with cinnamon and other spices); hummus; toum; and a fatoush salad made of lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, and onions tossed with a sweet pomegranate dressing, sumac, and crispy pita chips. I have not tried everything on their menu yet , however their potato sandwich is delicious . Since there is close to where I work , I often order my lunch from them . Their orzo salad is special and their fattouche and tabboulé are well dressed . I guess I have tried more of their vegetarian / vegan options and they're good . Delicious eastern Mediterranean food with easygoing friendly service. If you like this kind of food you will love it! Salad fresh and crunchy, meats nicely spiced and make sure to leave some space for the Baklava ! The only thing missing is a strong Arabic coffee at the end of the meal.
