This place was an absolute disaster! The falafel was practically swimming in oil, the chicken was as dry as a desert, and the beef had an unbearable stench. They practically forced us to order an excessive amount of food, which resulted in half of it going straight into the trash. The service? Don't get me started! The waiters were incredibly rude, practically hurling the menu at us and pressuring us to order way more than we wanted. I also tried a side of their potatoes and falafels with a vegan garlic sauce that they happened to provide upon request. Both were fine - neither were the best I've had by a long shot, but fine for being fast food. Given the nature of the restaurant, there is absolutely cross-contamination, but I'm sure you knew that already.

So a quick search led him to Shawarmaz. Shawarmaz is a Canadian company that started 2013 in Montreal. It has several locations but they are all in the Greater Montreal Area. My husband got the beef shawarma in a pita $9.79. They have the option of getting your shawarma in Saj bread or a baguette and those options are more expensive. He got lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, turnips and onions. For his sauces he got hummus, spicy garlic and chipotle. He enjoyed the shawarma. I had a bite so I could review it (I also went with him so I could see the restaurant and take pictures) haha. I thought it was pretty good. They give you a decent amount of protein. And the beef was flavourful and not gristly. I was surprised that the wrap was not too spicy considering the sauces he chose. The decor is fast food restaurant-like.
