I came here with my friend in April to do a color analysis. We booked the appointment online right when the time slots dropped. Karina did an excellent job analyzing what colors look best on us and explaining everything in thorough detail. She was very friendly, enthusiastic, and seemed experienced and knowledgeable. I found out I'm a summer cool which was very surprising! I learned a lot from this appointment on what colors look best on me and really brighten up my face versus what colors to avoid which make me look more dull or tired. I felt like the appointment was a bit rushed though towards the end. It would have been nice if we had a bit more time to go over makeup. Most of the time was spent with draping the different colors of cloth over our bodies to figure out what season we are and not enough time going over the results. She did email us a thorough pdf though afterwards which included clothing, jewelry, and makeup suggestions based on our analysis. But for the price we paid, I just wished we had a tad bit more time. Parking is pretty difficult. We did meter parking across the street and then had to leave in the middle of our appointment to put more money in our meter and then come back. read more

This was a wonderful service. Book online! The appointments drop once a month and she is very popular! We came on a Saturday morning and it was very easy to park around the block. The amount of information that you get is so worth it. We managed to get color analysis, along with a look into my makeup bag. We also dived into suit and tie colors for men! At the end she sent a 30 (!) page pdf with all the information we covered. It was great and I totally trust her. A really late review, but my friend and I were lucky enough to grab an appointment when we were in town at the end of April! Haejin was so kind, lovely, and clearly knowledgeable! She provided clear instructions for parking, since her shop is located in K-town, which can be difficult to find parking. Despite running the show solo, it's clear she's efficient and thoughtful about the process. We started with an in-take of sorts, with our go-to make-up products, colors we love/dislike, and adjectives that would describe our style. Next, we moved on to the fun draping! If you've been inspired to make an appointment, you know about the draping. Her set-up was clean and sleek, in front of the mirror with a stand to the side. She showed what she was looking at and helped us see what colors were best vs worse (with photos taken!). Lastly, we moved back to the computer/iPad set-up to discuss the results, your best season/tone, and other recommendations. I loved the different lip try-ons to see what would be best and show immediate results! Overall, I highly recommend this service for anyone interested in learning more about their color analysis! We booked an appointment for three people to celebrate my bestie's birthday, and the entire experience was very interactive and personalized! My bestie seemed to really enjoy finding out her best colors. Reservation: We booked through the studio's website, which has a calendar with available timeslots that open about a month in advance. *Be sure to plan ahead and know your preferred date because reservations fill up quickly--from my experience most slots are gone within 10 minutes of opening. Parking: There is free parking in the neighborhood streets. There's also metered parking, but some locations do have a time limit which may go over your appointment booking. If you can find street parking, that would be ideal. Experience: For our first time, we had a lot of fun! The studio is located on the top floor of the building and is a small and cozy. Our color consultant talked to each of us to know what our favorite colors and style are. All of her information was up to date and she knows her stuff. She had a ton of cosmetics, accessories, fabric and hair colors in the studio. At the end we were given a folder of all her recommendations. Overall, I'd been curious about color analysis since seeing it on social media and in K-dramas, and I'm so glad we gave it a try. There are a few color studios around LA in Koreatown, and after trying this one I'd say it's definitely worth trying and finding your colors :) read more

This was so fun! I went with my friend and going in we both thought that we were part of the Winter palette. We booked our appointments and there was initially an issue with the Calendy site so the automatic email was delayed by a day but they had been very responsive to emails when we contacted them to follow up. The 'deposit' is basically full upfront payment through Venmo. Once received, they'll send a list of instructions that includes a checklist of what to bring, best areas to park, and to wear a white top. Haejin was very patient with us, so fun to talk to, answered all our makeup questions and really explained what changes during the draping process we're trying to see to determine our suitable color palette. Getting the actual knowledge to be able to put it into practice ourselves when shopping is so valuable. I recommend recording your whole color draping process so you can go back to the video. I love that was an option and good thing I went with a friend so they could record for me. To really drive in the understanding of what your color is, the makeup application part was very helpful. I ended up being typed as a Dark Winter while my friend was between a soft autumn and light spring. Just applying the different shades of lip products and seeing how it shows up made it evident that the same colors would look so differently on us. The guidance is definitely personalized per person. With the difference of how much contrast and lightness each person is suited for, even the same seasons will have different Best Colors. I feel like I'll save so much money when shopping now because I'll know what color makeup works best on me. I had been buying so many random palettes thinking that the issue was with my application skills but it was just the color that doesn't match me and making me look tired or my makeup all a murky blob. read more

The draping was very telling when she explained what details she was looking for. And I was surprised how much my personal style was taken into consideration when Karina revealed my best colors. I really enjoyed my time getting my color analysis with Haejin! I went with my friend which was fun to see the differences between us as she was an autumn and I was a winter. I had learned about some color analysis online but I felt like I got a much deeper understanding during my session- not just about color, but about patterns, texture, style and mood. It was packed with information which I LOVED. I filmed the color swatch process which has been fun to watch back after since there was a lot of info. She does send a digital file with a bunch of info too. Haejin was super knowledgable and was able to answer any questions I had, and I felt like she was trustworthy with her opinion. I feel like the session will pay for itself in the future because I will have avoided fashion and makeup purchases that I would have otherwise bought and never worn! In terms of parking, I went around noon on a Saturday and definitely recommend going at least 20 minutes early as I needed that full time to find parking and arrived right on the dot, and had to park a few blocks away, but was able to find free parking in the residential area. I've been eyeing omyo for YEARS ever since they first launched on IG/tiktok, and getting personal color analysis has been on my bucket list for forever. I finally pulled the trigger last week and actually booked a duo session for me and my boyfriend and I couldn't have asked for a better experience!! Everything was explained to me and I felt so guided and taken care of as someone coming in for the first time. They offer men's services too (not just women's, unlike other places) which is super fun as a date activity and both me and my boyfriend left feeling informed and equipped to attend our 3 upcoming weddings this year with no fashion regrets. Phew!! Parking is rough in this area, so take ride share if you can to save yourself some stress. Ktown is busy any time of day, so be prepared! The full PDF I received after the appt via email was sooooo in depth and informative and I love having the little paper color card in my purse for when I go to the mall!! No memorization, no guess work. Make sure to bring as many pics of you can of the colors you like/don't like on you, and what you have in your closet. And for ladies, bringing your core makeup items is super helpful because I thought the lip tints and glosses I use daily matched my skin tone and were warm enough for my complexion...turns out they weren't!! The ones I tried at the studio were SO much better and wouldn't have known if I didn't follow the prep instructions they sent via email. Haejin is so lovely and knowledgeable! I got my color analysis done on my birthday with a couple of friends here and we had a lot of fun! Highly recommend going with a friend or two to have this experience. All three of us were surprised by our results, as we had walked in with hypotheses about what color season we were, and were all proven wrong! If you've seen color analysis content on Instagram, you might think you already know your classification based on the delineations that tend to be described. However, particularly if you are asian, you'll learn from Haejin that there is much more that goes into color analysis than some of the basic ideas found on social media. You'll get to learn about your color hue/temperature, what level of saturation is most flattering, and much more. Haejin made us feel so comfortable and she was a lot of fun to learn from. We got personalized guidance on our best clothing and hair colors, and also makeup styles/tones/brands, as well as skin texture (matte/semi-gloss/glossy). A couple things that I think could be nice updates to this experience would be if each participant could take home a physical book of fabric swatches in their color season, to help with shopping, and also maybe a bit more time to dissect the analysis to gain more confidence at applying the new knowledge in the real world. It would also be great if participants could have the option to fill out the survey link before arriving, to maximize time spent on the analysis portion itself. My partner and I went a little over a week ago and it was a lovely experience. I've done a color analysis before at a different place so I already had some foundational knowledge about the process. But Omyo was very thorough, so I don't regret going at all! Appointment slots open up monthly and it was easy to book something using their online system. The location itself is in a bit of a busy area so you have to plan accordingly for parking (you get provided instructions that give parking recommendations prior to your appointment). Haejin was our consultant, and she was incredibly friendly, informative, and easy to work with. I appreciate that it wasn't just a "this is your season - only do these colors" dialogue. It was very open-ended, highlighted what flatters us the best, and gave us other color options to explore too. The actual draping part was very thorough, and the discussion about recommended styles / inspiration was so helpful. I also appreciated being provided a PDF of all the session information after (especially the makeup we tried on); I can have a horrible recall, so it was nice to have it compiled! This place is weird. Let me tell you why. You sign up on a Google form that is just only open for a specific night at the end of the month for appointment slots next month. So I did that. No email confirmation or anything. They said they'll contact you for your appointment. I emailed and also messaged on instagram. No response for a month.
