We kept seeing there food around the park area before the game started, so we decided to give them a try. Everything was seamless. When I attempted to make a pleasantry remark during ordering I merely got a stern look in return. OK. Chit chat wasn't part of the ordering process. I had the BBQ brisket burger that came with fries. All of it was utterly delicious and well prepared. It came in a nicely made disposable box. The brisket was so tender and melted like butter, almost, but it was a bit messy to eat. Chunks fell out that I had to pick up to eat. Take lots of napkins on this one! It also had a slaw on it, a nice compliment. The sauce was super tasty. Everyone complimented the fries. They were really good, much better than the fast food variety, except comparable to In-N-Out. The others had the burgers and cheese and really liked them. If you see this food truck around it's a good bet for a filling. hearty BBQ meal.

My ongoing quest to find the best Carne Asada Burrito in the area has landed me at a very good…read morespot-I found myself at the food truck Tacos El Aguacatero on Northgate Boulevard. I have a pretty long history with this truck as I've been here many times, usually after doing some shopping at a local Mexican grocery store in the area,I would stop at this truck on the way home to grab something amazing they were making. This truck is located in a real tough spot in the city to thrive,as there are many taco trucks and taquerias in the area,so the fact that this spot continues to do well after all this time is a statement of how good their food truly is. On this particular trip I decided to go with a Carne Asada Super Burrito($14.75)-it comes with cheese, onions, cilantro, whole beans, guacamole and sour cream-I asked for the rice for my burrito on the side as usual. We also ordered a Taco Combo plate($14.00) featuring 2 tacos of Al Pastor and a side of rice and beans. What I've always like about this food truck is two things-1st the quality of meat, their Al Pastor to me ranks as one of the highest in taste quality in the area-I've had it in the past on their tortas-my gosh-it's so tasty. The second thing that always draws me back to this truck is not sure how to say this any other way than to say-they make their burritos so fat-they are heavy-I know when I go there I'm going to get a real meal-sometimes that's all you want and it for sure gets me coming back here. I laughed at how they prepared my rice on the side but hey beggars can't be choosers but once I dug Into it,their rice was bomb-so tasty-one of the best so far I've found in Sacramento-great flavor. Tacos were solid-when you start with that great meat of Al Pastor it's hard to go wrong and they didn't-I enjoyed them thoroughly. In closing-if you ever find yourself on Northgate and want to try a solid food truck and not sure which one to try-I'd recommend Tacos El Aguacatero-they have never steered me wrong-straight delicious food. PS-They are located in the same shopping center where the old Ricos Pizza used to be,so lots of spaces for parking.

Yup, I went with the "crab mac & cheese grilled cheese" that's served with their homemade sea salt vinegar chips ($15). Crab mac & cheese alone is a wonderful idea, but to put it inside a perfect grilled cheese sandwich? Genius! The whole thing was a flavor bomb that exploded in my mouth! A creamy, cheesy, and rich filling inside buttery, crunchy sourdough bread. Are those angels I hear singing in the background? My food came up super fast, which was appreciated amongst the masses of a crowded beer festival. The only thing was that they weren't serving any beverages. Not sure if they ran out or if they were only doing food that day. Luckily there was plenty of beer around to wash down that crab mac & cheese grilled cheese. Yup. Definitely heard angels singing!

I've had a pretty amazing shrimp sandwich. Pretty much the best I've had, though I wish the tails were removed. I guess it makes for a prettier Instagram pic, but I had to go through the sandwich and remove them before enjoying the goodness. The side of potatoes that came with it were insanely delicious too. Yesterday I tried the crab mac n cheese sandwich at the Sactomofo8. I have no idea how some of the other trucks had crazy lines and there was barely a line for Flavor Face. Maybe they were hidden a bit in the corner, but still. Anyway that sandwich was great, very flavorful. You could taste the crab in it, the ratio of the mac to crab was nice that way. They make a fabulous side of chips too. I'd upload a pic, but mine is exactly the same as Rich L's. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/flavor-face-mobile-food-and-catering-sacramento?select=y-cb4igmRSyOrd7gLHzdvg#y-cb4igmRSyOrd7gLHzdvg Look how perfect that thing is. These guys consistently know how to grill a piece of bread without getting it excessively greasy. Same could be said for frying the chips or the potato side I've had. It's all been perfectly cooked. Most of the menu items I've noticed are pretty decadent, but they have had some vegetarian things or quinoa salads as well. There are always interesting items so it's worth keeping an eye out for their appearances at SactoMofo events or breweries. Recommended.

Great food, but extremely disappointing customer service…read more I ordered from this food truck at Aftershock Festival, and while the food itself was genuinely good, the interaction with the front counter staff left a really negative impression. As a foreigner, I understand that cultural differences and misunderstandings can happen, especially in a busy festival environment. However, I felt very uncomfortable when the person taking my order appeared to imitate my accent and then became aggressive when I did not engage with it. I simply wanted to place my order, receive my food, and not have my accent mocked or my genuine attempt at kindness taken as a slight. I know festival work can be exhausting, but I did not expect to be treated like a nuisance simply for ordering food. The moment that shocked me most was when I tried to spell my Irish name for the order, since it is often unfamiliar to people in the U.S. Instead of understanding that I was trying to be helpful, the staff member snapped, "I KNOW HOW TO SPELL," which felt completely unnecessary. I had no intention of insulting her intelligence; I was only trying to avoid confusion. The experience was so uncomfortable that I left in a hurry out of second-hand embarrassment over how I had been treated. I did not even want to stay near the truck, and it took me a while afterward to figure out which food truck it was because I had walked away so quickly. At first, I wondered if I had done something wrong, but other festivalgoers later told me they had noticed similar issues with the service. Because of that, I would not feel comfortable approaching this truck again. The food was great, but hospitality matters too. Unfortunately, the customer service was poor enough that it overshadowed the meal.

The crinkle cut fries blew us away, perfectly seasoned and crispy.
