For a book whose spine is parting? Missing pages? C'mon. Don't even bother looking at most of what they call "Vintage" books. They ask a king's ransom for them. I found paperback after paperback that was priced at over $20 each... for a book barely 50 years old and a cover price of $1.50. Outlandish. I actually performed a reality check and went to Ebay to check on 7 or 8 of those titles. In each case the books sold for much less on Ebay than Helen is asking. They most definitely need to adjust their pricing schema. It's not like they're paying rent in downtown La Jolla for goodness sake. I was originally, upon walking in, going to say their large, diverse selection is a strength. Now I understand it's simply a function of them not selling their books at a good turnover rate at all... consequently, their stock piles up. Shame.

Store is well organized and staff was friendly. This place is better than GameStop. We left with several games all well priced. I'm sure this won't be their last time visiting. Unfortunately this location has been a problem for quite a while. Every time I come here there's always something with the employees that so unprofessional. I get it, it's a comic book store in a mall, but the people that they have working here believe this is their personal hangout.. As for comic selection, this is basically a Marvel and DC shop. You'll have a tough time finding anything independent. - Completely inappropriate music playing sometimes. - When there's more than one person working they basically are loud and goofing off. - No active help from employees. You have to walk up to the counter and get a passive aggressive response. This isn't the Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop so stop acting like it is. - Various activist and virtue signaling posters. This is a business, not a Jr. college library. Are the owners aware of this? - This is multiple times, not just one "bad day". Owners- I like comics because of escapism. There needs to be more oversight / training at this location.
