I stopped into this store to show a friend the game Warhammer. I had passing familiarity with the…read moregame and neither of us had ever played it. When we walked in the manager (whose name I forget) greeted us. He was very enthusiastic describing the game and gave us a "15 minute" demonstration. With our questions, it turned out to be longer than 15 minutes and worth every minute. His love of the game was clear and rousing. While he was talking with us, he was also able to deal effectively with other customers in the store. If I were to take up the game Warhammer, I would definitely patronize this store. It was clean and organized. But the manager was a very good advocate and customer-centric.

They have tons and tons of games you can sits and play , a calendar of activities and stuff they have going on and like I mentioned the painting station. But this little toy store is a nice breath of fresh air. It's a smaller store, but it has lots of unique toys for all different ages. We came in here looking for a few small gifts for a school gift exchange and found lots of fun things. My son picked out a magnet toy and my daughter sound some watermelon pink slime. And our 2 year old found a wooden Thomas Train he didn't have. And surprisingly, they had Pokémon cards which my son appreciated. I hope they continue to carry sports and Pokémon cards because it's always fun taking my kids to pick out cards, rather than just buying online. The store manager was super sweet and helped. She explained their exchange policy if a Bruder toy broke and how they'd get the part for free for you. She was also open to suggestions of other toys to carry I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a toy, give them a shot. I'm sure you'll find something. Everyone is inviting, friendly, and genuinely kind. They have a great selection of TTRPG, board games, and general game merchandise, the staff is kind, and the patrons are real enthusiasts and enjoy teaching you new games. The selection is decent, though a little limited. They seemed to be out of some things but that's okay. We started browsing looking at simple games. Corey asked if he could help and we told him what we were looking for. He said the one we were holding, Rebel Princess, was really fun and he had played it himself. we decided to snag that. He then recommended us Forest Shuffle as a fun game for us too, little does he know that animals like bugs and birds are my entire personality. Such a good read on his part. We loved the game he pitched and took that as well. He showed us around the shop and where to find some amazing used and vintage books (very cool little selection) and where everything else is located. The shop had a wide selection of board games at the front, some books along the shelves, crafting supplies for painting, figurines, and a tabletop play area in the back. There was a tabletop tournament for Magic the Gathering the day I went. The tables were all full and everyone was having a great time. My partner I had recently picked up Wingspan and have been enjoying it a lot so I wanted to pick up another board game for duos. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful here - they answered all the questions I had on board games I was looking for as well as gave me their own personal recommendations. We quickly picked up the 7 Wonders Duel board game and are very excited to test it out. Price is slightly higher than Amazon but worth it to support this business. Highly recommend Bards & Cards and will definitely be coming back.
