    pink lamp from On Consignment
    Katie V.

I happened on this gem while my husband and I were in Dallas for a long weekend. I ended up visiting On Consignment twice in two days! It's crowded-full of great pieces, many/most that were more than I wanted to pay, but I did find a fabulous pink lamp in my price range. It's one of my favorite vintage finds to date. Owner/employees were very friendly and welcoming.

My handsome wonderful husband securing my chandelier in the back of their truck on our way to FedEx to ship.

This was my favorite consignment shop by far! They have SO much inventory it will take you some time to truly see everything, but that's what I love. I was primarily looking for chandeliers and they had SO MANY I was in heaven! Having been to a few other consignment shops in the area during my visit, this was the only one worth going to in my opinion. The prices were fair, and depending on how long they've been in store, the prices are adjusted. I went there two days in a row and both times the staff was exceptionally helpful. I did end up purchasing a beautiful chandelier and was going to Uber it to FedEx to have shipped and they offered to give me a ride. Who does that??? Extremely grateful. Thank you for your warm southern hospitality. I will return!

Ask the Community - On Consignment

Does anyone know if On Consignment will take light fixtures? I bought a brand new light from Lamps Plus, the sales person assured me it would fit in my space but it did not. Now I'm stuck with a fixture I can't use!

Hi Shana! We are known for our wonderful chandeliers and light fixtures. It depends on the quality… Read more

This store's got something for everybody - vintage clothing, records, smoking accessories, salt & pepper shaker and weird art made by the man himself. The place has got *nothing* to do with Voodoo, the owner is just simply a cool, funny Japanese dude that rides hard for Jimi Hendrix. If you're a true freak, you'll relish in the little world that Jimi has created for himself here in Dallas and if he likes you...you'll know ;)

Lo and behold, we found a decorated storage unit for nazism and miscellaneous BS. While the questionable "art" alone didn't bother us much, whoever was creeping around us, the person who I assume is the owner, did. It's a shame, because before we had the opportunity to acknowledge that this wasn't a place we should be in, we did find some items that were amusing, a couple of which we were prepared to buy. However, when one of my friends tried to compliment an item he had taken an interest in to initiate conversation with the employee/owner, mostly to break the eerie tension that only came from him staring at us silently from the other room, the owner/employee ignored him, only ever breaking his silence a minute later to bluntly tell the aforementioned friend to put an item down. After about 15 more seconds of receiving stares from this old man, feeling like we might become murder victims, we left, hearing the dead bolt lock behind us. I look forward to seeing this place being torn down.

I even brought a pair of name brand shoes that I've only worn once that cost over $250 easy. The cashier offered to buy them for $10 and hit me with the line all shady thrift stores and pawn shops say "this isn't what we are looking for but if you want we can buy it a low price" knowing full well they would turn around and sell it close to retail if I sold the sneakers to the store. Not only that, but I've seen the quality of their items, especially with the clothing selection and its always lacking except for indie brands they mix in with the other clothes and sell which are extremely over priced. Its a cool store to browse around and waste time in while walking around Deep Ellum drunk on a weekend, but that's all I can recommend because the store is a waste of time. There are plenty of online shops and resellers holding on to better items, and apps like Depop to sell your items at reasonable price.
