Was assigned this company by AAA for a battery check and replacement . The " technician " told me the battery needed replacement but no other details ( it had no problem starting but It was getting old so I was ready to replace. Then the trouble started ( which matches 2 other recent AAA battery replacement reviews in the last year). The technician quoted $365 and was walking back to his minivan to get a battery when I followed him back and saw 1) a bunch of batteries piled up in the back ( not tied down/ in boxes ). 2) I asked him the CCA and RC of the battery and he said it was 800CCA but didn't know the RC . 3) i asked the date of MFG of the battery ( AAA guaranteed 5 month max ) he told me it was good until January 2027 and that was a good thing for me . 4) I asked why $365 was more than the AAA price and he got more irate and rude. Then he told me it included an $85 installation fee that his boss might be able to take off ( truck is a 2022 F-150 so easy installation. 5) he didn't mention the core reimbursement , which Im sure he wouldn't have brought up without me asking. But at that point I knew this was a shady business. So rather than argue with him I sent him on his way and declined the service. The problem here is that AAA outsourced the service to this company that has a 2.5 star review and the same complaints on battery service in the last year. God forbid if I actually was stuck and needed a battery replacement ( would have gotten an overpriced battery with very questionable quality). I've opened a case with AAA so they can take action and stop this company from taking advantage of future customers that trust in the AAA brand. read more

I encountered one who, after unnecessarily blocking the entire road for a full 20 minutes while cars piled up, yelled at me and then angrily threatened to hit my car with his tow truck by accelerating in the direction of my car and then slamming his brakes just before hitting my car. All of this simply because I lightly tapped my car horn (the same way many do to alert a driver who is not paying attention that a light has turned green) to let him know we were waiting to cross and needed to begin moving after 20 minutes of waiting at a standstill. As a towing company I feel like the drivers there would know that there are ramifications for such an act like say - a hit and run? More specifically a hit and run involving one of your very bad drivers that occurred just outside the Willowbrook Mall located on 1960 and SH 249 North on January 7th 2025 just after 3pm. The driver was operating a flat bed truck with license plate T15 - 96L that ended up striking my sister's vehicle and totaling it. If I'm correct the workers at the Portillo's establishment had urged you to move your truck due to the end of it that was protruding out into oncoming traffic. You failed to do so which ultimately led to the accident. After the accident the wonderful driver threw up his hands and Fled the scene before law enforcement officers arrived. I would've had loved to see the driver come back and take some responsibility for a mistake but it I think that ship sailed a long time ago. Texas AAA assigned OnRoad to provide towing for my RV, and they arrived 2.5 hours later with a flatbed tow truck, driven by a very nice young man. While loading my RV onto the flatbed, the rear ladder on my RV was damaged. The driver inspected the damage with me, and apologized to me. I took pictures, and collected security camera footage showing the driver inspecting the damage. When I filed a claim with them, the towing company denied that the damage to my RV was caused by them loading it onto their flatbed, as well as the further damage when it was unloaded at the repair shop. AAA sided with the OnRoad general manager without even talking to the tow truck driver, or inspecting the damage. I sent pictures to AAA, but they opined that the damage could have pre-existed the date of the tow! Shame on AAA and OnRoad. I'll file a claim with my insurer and hope that they are successful in subrogating my claim. After being a AAA member for decades, I will not renew my membership. As for OnRoad, I would not let them tow any of my vehicles ever again. Their equipment is not safe, and the rig they sent to tow my RV had bald tires, one of which had a blow-out while I followed them to the repair shop. Their rig was too small for my RV, and I'm fortunate that the damage was not worse. Terrible company, and AAA chose to side with them instead of their longterm member. My vehicle insurer offers roadside service, and I will gladly pay additional premium for that coverage. At least they will have skin in the game, whereas AAA only has it reputation at stake since it does not actually cover any damage caused by their contracted third party service providers. read more

They dispatched driver who didn't even have skates or was equipped to tow my vehicle properly. Second tow truck driver put my life in danger and forced me to stand outside the highway and refused to let me sit in the vehicle or keep me safe. Mind you, I am pregnant female and alone. Do NOT call this company if you are female. The driver berated me the whole way about my Tesla super discriminating, condescending, and rude. I communicated with the manager about jump starting the vehicle because it was out of charge, and he confirmed they had jumpbox and all the tools they need. This outfit was sent out two days ago to check the battery in my call after I spent a lot of time on the phone and on-line with AAA trying to get service. My car was in my garage so I was not stranded. AAA said the best battery would be $240 + "possible service charge." Naturally the fellow who came out declared my battery dead and told me the cost would be $240 for the battery + $85 for the installation.IT took him at least 15 minutes to do the job! He spoke with a very thick middle-Eastern accent I believe and I could barely understand him. I also had a very difficult job making myself understood by him. He was not able to figure out how to attach 2 wires from a battery tender to the new battery as he was installing it. He was going to send both the receipt and battery warranty. Called triple a to get my truck towed to the tire shop did ok getting it there I let the tire shop fix my truck went home and tried opening my door handle from the inside and the door handle pulled straight off like it was broke sure enough it was lanni Dan broke it maybe when the door was locked from the inside he felt that he couldn't get out because the door was locked so he kept pulling it trying to get out and it broke all I'm saying is that he did not take responsibility of making it known that it was broke! I am not happy with what he did to my door now I have to pay money out of my pocket to get it fixed be sure not to use these people ! I wish I could give them 0 stars for the way me and my property were treated today. As of right now, I have been dealing with my car being stuck in the middle of the street in my neighborhood where their tow driver left it sitting. He told me that his truck was too big to move it in there and would send another driver with a smaller truck in 15 minutes! Needless to say that never happened. When I started calling and texting the driver he ignored me and refused to respond. I then called AAA to make them aware of the situation and they advised me that the tow driver documented that he couldn't fit my car inside the garage because my garage is too small. Mind you, I have a two car garage that's empty and doesn't have any other vehicles in it, nor any property stored in it. The fact that he lied and abandoned my dead vehicle sideways in the middle of the street is just horrible and unacceptable customer service! Please check the previous reviews on here before mine.
