I've been able to "fill in" to care for my Mom but I'm exhausted. Can't count on them to come through. Thank goodness my Mom is of sound mind but unfortunately in a wheelchair with limited mobility. She doesn't require lifting-she can transfer to chair and bed. But she can't prepare her meals or shower and needs this assistance. While in their care, several items of clothing disappeared, along with his shoes. Transparency with information, was on existent. He was exposed to COVID while on lock down, with no visitors allowed in the Memory Care. How he got COVID (fully vaccinated) is a very good question!! On October 14, 2021 he passed away from complications from COVID. I highly recommend, you avoid placing your loved ones in this uncaring and extremely unhealthy environment!! Manor Care is an extremely poorly managed health care facility. It starts with the Administrator and goes down hill from there!!!
