When I tell you that Blue Ocean has changed my life, I really mean it…read more My two closest friends started working out here a couple of years ago, and after finally giving in to peer pressure, I decided to give it a shot last January. I'm coming up on my one year mark and I can honestly say it has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself! I never felt great about any gyms I've belonged to in the past. I'm not a huge group class person, and personal training has always been $$$$$. Enter: semi-personal training! Basically, each of the trainers here has a few clients at one time, but it still feels, well... personal. You get your own workout, there are just others around you doing theirs, and it actually adds a fun element of community at the same time. Instead of working out so hard that you can barely walk the next morning, the approach here is more reasonable and based on intentional repetition vs. killing yourself. I typically do three circuits made up of 3-4 exercises, 3-4 times each. My muscle growth has been slow but extremely consistent, and I'm finally seeing the exact results I've always wanted. Working out three times per week at Blue Ocean has kept me feeling so strong and healthy. As a bonus, when I have to travel for work, I can pause my membership--and they even give me workouts to do on the road. The trainers are fantastic people, and the clientele is great, too. I look forward to belonging to Blue Ocean for a long time!

I think I've been here enough times to give this place a review…read more I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new gym. I know there's a lifetime nearby too but it's so ridiculously overpriced and I don't use all the amenities to validate going there (having been a previous member). I love that wild horse is just a 6 minute drive from the house. It's usually the hardest part of going to workout - getting there, but it's so easy and there's always a parking spot open close to the door (since weather is in single digits!!) I'd say I go during odd hours since I have a hybrid work schedule. 11:30-2pm have 12+ people but it's never too crowded that I have to wait for a machine to be free (excluding today where everyone collectively decided to workout arms like me!) and 4-6p is when it gets a little busier, I bet due to people getting off work and wanting to get their workout in. Machines are clean as well as locker rooms. Towels are always available once you walk down to the floor or hit up the locker room to put your stuff away. There are cubbies where you can quickly stash your belongings as well. There are also jacket hooks in the locker room for colder seasons. The staff are all nice and friendly! The members are too! There's a wide array of machines for every muscle or variations of ones you've probably seen at other gyms. A ton of life fitness machines, free weights, cables, treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, you name it, they've got it! Couples membership is around $130/month plus $100~ sign up fee Worth it to stay or get in the best shape of your life!

They're great for stretching, yoga, barre, and are typically not crowded. You should definitely check out this gym! Ps the patio is great!

The staff is so inviting and helpful especially when I first joined and the equipment is so new that the adjustments are completely different than what I'm used to. No one hovering over you waiting like other gyms, this place is so clean. If you told me they bought all the equipment yesterday, I would believe you. I met the owner the first visit while he was fixing up the selfie rooms. He apologized for the mess and introduced himself. Very community spirited gym, but not the pushy type to get you involved if you don't want to. If you like quiet, keep in mind the classes on the turf Saturday mornings especially around holiday time. I'm not a morning person so it definitely woke me up but nothing to keep me from still going to this gym. I am on the petite side and there are some machines where I can't put any weight on or else there would be no movement and if I put the lowest weight it's too heavy to push/pull. So there are some machines that aren't beginner friendly. I'd say it's definitely a gym to go to where you've already started your fitness journey and want to enhance it or just wait to use those machines after you build some more strength. I don't think I've heard the same song twice and every song is great and pumps me up. Whoever is controlling the tunes is doing fantastic!

Was not overly crowded in the weight area, but there was a class happening on the other side of the gym. The equipment in this gym is by far the best I've seen anywhere lately. Gym rules are pretty solid for maintaining a clean and respectful space for its members as well. 10/10.

The only thing that could improve is the equipment. Some of the equipment is a little beat up but really they offer so many equipment options it's difficult to even complain about. I really wanted to like this place…read more.. As big as it looks on the outside, I felt kind of claustrophobic inside because all the machines were so bunched up together. It definitely attracts a specific crowd. I didn't feel intimidated because I'm so used to going to different gyms having moved around a lot, but I could see how one may be turned off by the vibe. I personally appreciated the metal music because it made me want to push myself, but not for everyone. I went with a friend because she wanted to check it out and she did end up signing up out of convenience being close by her work but she ended up cancelling. There was a woman who was just working out that offered to show us how to use a machine I'd never seen before. She was very friendly and so happened to be an instructor so we knew we were being taught correctly. It wasn't as crowded as club fitness, but definitely more serious gym goers. Take what you will from this!
