This is the 4th location I've been to in the Minneapolis area and by far the best!! Massive selection. Incredibly clean and organized. I went on a Monday night and basically had the place to myself. I like their selection of clothes and shoes. When I brought clothes in to sell. I was so happy when they took about 90% of the baby clothes.

Full disclosure: I was on the fence about 3 or 4 stars. For the price, I had to go with 3. As stated, this IS one of the better Once Upon a Child locations in the metro area. It is larger and has a more extensive selection of clothing for kids of ALL ages. Large racks organize clothing by Onesies (ranging from $1.00 - $2.00), Long Sleeve outfits, Short Sleeve Outfits, and up, by Boy/Girl and by age (New Born NB up to tweens). They also carry a large selection of motorized swings, bouncer seats/recliners and other second hand baby toys. As far as the selection for used things of that nature, I can't say I feel it's a very good value. Many of the baby swings are priced $60 and up, with obvious dirt and wear. There is nowhere to test and make sure it works, which the store claims they do, but sometimes it's good to see it for yourself before you walk out the door. In this respect, you may have better luck at a garage sale or rummage sale. If you're looking for clothing, like Onesies, then the prices and selection are unbeatable. They also have a fun selection of NEW items, like Superhero Capes, Tutus, Wands and Headbands. These items seem to be handmade and of good quality. :) Over all, I will come back. Don't let 3 stars deter you from stopping in, because you may find something you like. It has it's strong side. read more

Just know when you show up here with things to sell - there's at least 80% chance you'll be walking right back out with your stuff because they are "done selling for the day." When the last FOUR times you've tried (at all hours of the day), you've been turned away - the benefit of the doubt that it's just bad luck is gone. Other locations don't seem to have this problem. Go to Maple Grove - there's a way to do this right and they've figured it out. This location just can't get it together. read more

This is one of the better locations of OUaC in the Twin Cities. The selection is more robust, the store is cleaner than some and feels a bit more spacious. Prices are still phenomenal- sleepers for 3-4 bucks, most clothes are maybe 1/4-1/3 of retail (for Oshkosh, Gap, Gymboree or Children's Place dresses and sweaters)! read more

Last few times I have spent a lot of effort sorting and washing quality kids clothes and they have made me feel embarrassed with their loudly proclaiming about mold on my child bouncer. It was a small ink mark from my toddler playing with a marker. Then associate went on about their stock can't be contaminated with mold and have it spread. Again - It was not mold ...whatever. This place sucks. I don't even know why I try. Tried to go there and drop of clothes. They told me they are done for the day. I will buy clothes from the place and my kids will not wear them and I try to sell them back to them and they won't take them stating they have stains On them or are to worn. I now buy all my wardrobes for my kids through eBay. And will start selling them on eBay to. I'm done with this place. read more

Worst experience. Store is so cramped that you can't even roll a stroller through any isle (yes, and it's a baby retail store!). Staff is completely unaware of anything relating to babies. I asked 2 different associates if they had any Pack n Plays ... both had no idea what a Pack n Play was. Wow, that should be baby retail 101. The store also smelled awful, like a sewer. Will never go back. I actually ended up buying the Pack n Play next store at Babies R Us (fantasitic service, store layout and selection). So the trip wasn't a total lost. Do yourself a favor never shop here!!!! read more

I've been bringing clothes to this store for about 10 years now, and something has changed in their business model recently. Like another reviewer, no one wanted to wait on me and everyone was sullen. I took 2 big bins of high-end clothes and many bags of toys and puzzles and only got $40. They also returned all my unneeded items to me and refused to donate them as their donation bin was "full." So much for cleaning out my house... and good luck selling this business with this level of consumer experience. Never going back there. read more

I am very frustrated by the employees in the store. I am not one to write reviews- but I feel the need to say that the women working in this location are not even remotely friendly. I do not need you to be all happy smiles, but I would at least like to be greeted and spoken to in a less annoyed voice. read more

I have had horrible experiences at this location on multiple occasions simply because of the staff. They are grumpy, treat you like you are bothering them by just being there, and obviously don't care about their work. If it weren't for incompetent and rude employees I would consider shopping here. Instead, I will go out of my way to shop at other locations. read more

When it comes to taking things on consignment they are a rip off. I brought it many items with the tags still on them from places like Gymboree that were purchased THIS season and they didn't want them. Very disappointed. read more

Where to start? I have been to this location MANY times to shop and sell in the two years since we moved to the Minneapolis area. I've always had good luck with bringing items here (I usually bring 1 or 2 bins each time) and always end up getting a check (meaning they purchased $50+ worth of items). Last night I brought 4 bins in at 5:15pm (they close at 8). I know thats a lot, but I figured with 3 hours to go, and no one ahead of me it wouldn't be a big deal. There was a teenage boy working and three teenage girls. When I came in, they all kind of just stood around and stared at each other as if they were thinking "who's gonna help this lady- not me!". Finally one of the girls did help me. I came back around 7:30 to pick up the items. They had taken about 3 items and could give me $6.51. I thought hmm thats odd since there's 4 bins of decent items (okay I get that everyone thinks their own clothing is good quality, but if I hadn't had such good luck selling in the past, I wouldn't have been so shocked), and I usually receive a nice check. My husband was with me and he wondered if they even looked through it all. Upon arriving home, I went to go back through my bins and sure enough, they had went through ONE bin (if they even went thru the whole thing- who knows???!) and the rest were all still nicely folded as I had put them in, with maybe 3 things on the top of each bin that had been unfolded and jammed back in there. So I think ill stick to Eden Prairie OUAC where I received a $70+ check. The biggest disappointment, even more so than not getting hardly any money from them, was the fact that these teenage workers were too LAZY to go through my items. I tried to find a spot to contact the owner on their website page, and no luck there either, so I guess to leave bad online reviews is the next option. read more
