Every time i go here there is so discrepancy with their rewards program last time i had a 15% coupon for spending the $100 they didn't honor it because it was combined on a card / and their system. So i bought the stuff i had picked out and fairly earned another one which i had a text for since may. The young girl and Native American lady as well as the new lady working were RUDE... so to the ones who were working Memorial Day at 4-5pm you are RUDE!!!!! Spent hours getting things together to sell. Brought a bunch of stuff on hangers. They accepted them, didn't mention anything about them needing to be off hangers. I've been to a lot of these types of stores in the past, and this is one of the more well organized and tidy ones. These consignment shops are franchises, so it is more or less and experience based on the people running it rather than a corporation. There is always plenty of stock here, the store is clean, organized, and the aisles aren't smushed too closely together that you feel claustrophobic like at many secondhand stores of this kind. 0 stars--- Had about 7 bags of clothes and such. I wanted to drop off during my lunch break. Instead of simply checking in and processing the items in bulk, they only allowed me to check in 2 bags at a time. What could have taken maybe 45 minutes would have been extended to about 2 or 3 hours when you take into account the multi-step process of checking in clothes to sell (2 bags at a time). Step 1. sign in and scan ID. Step 2. wait for appraisal text notification. (about 45 minutes later) Step 3. return to store Step 4. wait in checkout line to settle up payment and returning clothes they passed on - I would have to have gone through this process 2 or 3 more times. I determined my time was more valuable than the potential earnings from the clothes. Too bad this company missed out on revenues and my customer loyalty because of operational inefficiencies. Here's a tip: if you have a lot of clothes to sell, make sure to bring them in the largest box in your garage, like an appliance box. That way you will be in compliance with their policy. read more

I really like this store. It is a bit small and there are usually people lined up at the door at open. They do a decent job of keeping the sizes together. I had my first experience selling a few months ago and it was simple enough. You call and make an appointment and show up at that day and time. I'm not partial to things I get rid of I'm usually ready to just have it out of my house. So for me whatever they offer for the stuff is fine by me. I usually shop here whenever I'm looking for clothes out of season. We do live in Oklahoma so you never know when your kid will need a shorts for a week. The staff was nice, maybe a bit irritated at times if you aren't a seasoned vet but they always have a lot to do so I don't take it personally. read more

My daughter and I came to drop off a whole laundry basket over full of baby clothing. They definitely did a thorough picking of all the really good hardly worn items and made a dent but we left with quite a bit still. She used that $$ to purchase some of the store's winter items that will be much needed. The store was packed full of clothing and some other baby/child items. I love all once upon a child chains, but I went in this store today and it is just ridiculous how the prices went up!!! Girls 12, 18 & 24 months shorts and skirts are $4.50 min to 8$ .. for the quality I saw I wouldn't pay over a dollar.. these skirts and shirts are super tiny, washed out, and not even good quality, if it's good quality or a brand name that would make sense but for a tiny piece of cloth like that is a rip off! At Marshall's today I got a 12 month shirt for $4.50 it was under armor and at this store there was a 12m under armor shirt for 8$ already used and washed out. Their old navy brands and baby gap brands are all 8-10$ because of the brand name, but in old navy and gap you can easily buy a new one for the same price. That's just what bugs me, they know these prices and still want to rip you off. Even other things like boys shirts or other girls rompers that are worn out and you can tell the color is off is between 4.50-8, $10, i only buy clothes that are in good condition and for a reasonable price, I can get a lower price then this at old navy even H&M online sells 2-3$ tops brand new in other stores. If I know I can get it for the same price plus new I just don't get anything at all! Also this time there was not much variety, very old worn out clothes for 5$ for baby clothes. Us moms shop everywhere so we know what other stores sell for brand new seeing these prices just makes me not want to come back.. of course I'm sure they know the prices of other stores and the comps but they still sell it for the exact same price as a brand new clothing! Also it's September super hot 100 degree weather and humid outside, I was bummed out they took out all the tank tops and short sleeved tops and T-shirt's. The only summer thing left is dresses (church dresses) they are stocked up on their winter clothes. So if you need any last minutes summer clothes they don't have them any more I would at least keep them until October I mean come on it's Oklahoma now... Also the girls behind the register the ones getting in new inventory and training each other are so loud like we don't need to hear every conversation you have, it's just funny how they think this is the best job in the world and act like there's nothing better.. we get it .. to each their own and maybe it's your dream job but seriously over doing it with the loudness. read more

My sister in law and myself came to "once upon a child" while visiting family in Tulsa. The sales were great as per usual but the staff there was rude as hell. Specifically my sister in laws checkout girl who failed to tell her about the sale going on and when she asked about it the checkout girl had a very rude tone. My nephew also had chewed the tag on one of the shirts and she rudely said "ew how disgusting" as if she doesn't work in kids retail. Lady if you have a problem with slobber snot and kids go work in retail at SAKS, totally uncalled for and some of the worse service I've had in a very long time. read more

Offered me $6.75 for 4 pairs of shoes. All were like new, one was Nikes, the other three were black dress shoes. Waste of time trying to sell things here. They say they pay 40% of what they sell for but that is a joke. I called and asked if they were buying clothes and was told yes until 6pm so i drove all the way across town n got there at 5pm only to be told they stopped buying clothes early for the day. Then the next day i called n asked again if they were buying clothes they said yes until 6pm so once again i drove all the way across town i got there a few min b4 6 and was told they were no longer buying clothes for the day. I said i just called at 530 and was told they were buying things until 6 they lady said well its 6 now i said ur clock on the wall says 4 min until 6 and she said yeah well that clock is slow u will have to come back. So ive tried twice now to go in and sell them things and had them say they wouldnt buy bc of the time. If u dont want to buy items from people until 6pm dont tell ur customers u will be buying things until 6pm. I wasted my time and my gas and was lied to by their staff they are completely unprofessional n jus go by their own rules. This store has a lot of clothing to buy at a affordable rate. I took some items in to sell and the staff was really rude to me like I was bothering them by bringing in work. They didn't offer very much for my items and it was a complete waste of my time especially having my two boys with me and they were rude to my children. I brought in some clothing that was in really good condition and they said they couldn't buy it cause it looked worn. The pants had been worn once by my son! The lady standing in line next to me was shock since the pants I had looked more new then the ones they had hanging on the rack in the store. Staff is occasionally friendly. My in-laws purchase clothing here for my son often, and when it's the wrong size or something he has never worn (still has their tags), I have attempted to sell it back, and they don't take it! They usually say it's the brand, too many in that size or some other excuse. Very disappointing. Sometimes we luck out and get a decent amount back and other times we feel like we are getting robbed. Decent prices for used toys and some clothing. I have noticed they buy back Garanimals from Walmart but it's the same price as purchasing it new. Overall a decent place for what it is. read more

I use to love this place. However the staff is very rude and seem annoyed when a customer comes to sell clothes. They basically only pay you .50 cents to $1.00 for any item they want to buy from you. I understand it's a Consignment store. However the way the staff talks to customers when they don't take an item of clothing is very condescending. To all parents wanting to sell kids clothes please just wait and consign with Rhea Lana. They do a spring and fall sale. I just did the spring sale and made over $200 selling my daughters clothes she outgrew. It's more work on your end but the staff is super nice and they give you 70% of the money to you. When I got there, they gave me back 95% of my items and offered me a few dollars for the items they wanted. I refused their offer because it was well under what I considered fair. Decided to give them a second chance. Once again employees were very rude from the moment I entered store. I was first in line and had only a small tub of clothes. They said 30 minutes. One hour later I received text, went to store, and was once again handed back 95% of my stuff. Their excuse for not wanting them was "too much love", "stains", and "older styles". There were no stains, everything I brought was like new condition, and brands like Guess, Levi's, and children's place. The items i brought were in much better condition that most of what they had for sale in their store. So waste of time!!! There are other resale shops in town that treat you fair and whose employees arent rude. read more

I would give less than one star if I could. Half of their employees weren't wearing masks correctly if at all, I did not see them sanitizing any surfaces after customers, it was completely deplorable during a global pandemic in a country practically leading the charts with cases. As someone at risk, needing to continue living my daily life, it is disgusting the way they are so lax about a virus actively killing people. Every time I've ever visited, pandemic or not, employees stare at me as I walk through making faces at me as if it is a plight on their existence that I'm even in the building. I cannot imagine how much these employees must hate their job to give me daggers for simply visiting their store to shop for my girls. I was considering coming back for children's clothes and play yards for my infant stepson, but after seeing the way the employees behave, talking about how they continue going out on weekends without masks while I browsed the aisles, I won't be likely to return. Cautionary tale! I wish I would have read these reviews before selling to OUAC! I brought in 37 separate clothing items. They purchased 28 and returned 6 to me. Where are the missing items? I questioned the cashier at payout and she said she did not sort them so she did not know. I asked to look through the bin of items they were purchasing from me. She was visibly annoyed I was questioning the count of my items. Then I asked to speak with the manager and the owner happened to be there. I asked her to explain her sorting process and questioned how some of my items were missing. She said she didn't know and even suggested I miscounted my own items. I counted my items 3 times prior to handing them over to the store for consideration. The mishandling of my items was on their end. Make sure you take inventory of your items before dropping them off because your items may become a "donation" to their store and end up being sold on their racks without you receiving compensation. Even if they skimmed a few items off of every customer who brings in a tub full of items, that is money in their pocket. There are other children's consignment stores in town that (hopefully) subscribe to a higher code of business ethics. read more

Having moved here recently from the St Louis area, I was expecting this Once Upon A Child to be as good as the one I went to there. Unfortunately that has not been the case. I've been here a few times and each time the staff has been unbelievably rude. After a couple of bad experiences, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. But after experiencing some of the worst costumer service I've ever had, that kind of environment seems to be the norm at this location. I've been here once. My experience was very lackluster. Nonetheless, my wife has recently come to grips with handing over some stuff that were 'firsts' for our son. After being told the guidelines of what year stuff had to be, it seems the owner has now decided her first set of rules don't apply. What's more, is my wife comes home puzzled both times without me trying to get her head around the sheer rudeness of the owner. Even her staff have indicated their recognition of the attitude, so this isn't an isolated incident. Although I have no answer, I would say this individual struggles with basic principles of a business that attracts customers. So, we will give it to someone in need, and do her job for her but in a more philanthropic manner. I encourage you to avoid this store, unless of course you are needing a good argument. Great place to find bargains on some items and much better than retail on clothing that kids will quickly outgrow. However I won't waste my time trying to resell clothes at this place ever again, they seemed offended that we were even in their store trying to sell items kind of a how dare you bring work for us to do. we were told we had to stay until they went through and after an hour-and-a-half wait at closing time they then told us come back the next day as they didn't have time to process. I went to the store with a lot of name brand items to sale. The owner was extremely rude to me- she had an attitude and was so sarcastic. Her staff even commented on her attitude. I will never step foot in this facility again. I urge others to go to a place where mothers are treated with dignity and respect and not like a piece of trash - especially when handing over things that have sentimental value.
