I took this as a sign and finally checked it out. I'm so glad I did! It was a slow day so I took my time to walk all around the store while asking questions. Turns out it's an artist co-op nonprofit. Several artists came together to start it in 2020 to showcase unique creations and offer one-of-a-kind, handmade and specialty items from 40+ local artists and artisan makers. The name was inspired by Leon Russell's "Hummingbird" song, which is appropriate since the Church Studio is a block away. You can find a wide array of items, from clothing and jewelry, to glasswork, mosaics, pottery, photographs, woodwork, and more. I found a really cute fall mini frame, bead earrings, and a sun catcher, all one of a kind, beautiful, and affordable. If you like a particular artist, they have all their cards at the register. They accept special requests and commissions, and are also able to ship. They display artwork from Tulsa Public School students and have special art events, and workshops. They frequently have sales with drastic price cuts. Their canvases were recently 70% off! You can get a credit card with an immediate 20% discount and it has built in discounts on everyday items. They have an app with a great reward system (you can have rewards without the app, but the app really simplifies everything.) The sales staff is always friendly and helpful. Their framing department is second to none. Framing is much more expensive than Hobby Lobby, but you truly get what you pay for. Most of my Hobby Lobby frames have looked cheap and one even fell apart. Michael's did an incredible job on helping me make decisions and then framing my deceased dad's military shadow box. I highly recommend Michael's.

As Oscar Wilde once said, "A flower blossoms for its own joy," but it's even better when it can bring joy to others for more than just a fleeting moment. Perhaps the shop could consider offering longer-lasting floral options, or providing tips on how to keep the blooms fresh for as long as possible. Maybe there is a tip I don't know about, past keeping the water, fresh and clear. After all, a gesture of love and admiration should be something to cherish and enjoy for more than just a few short days, specially with such a large price tag attached!!
