The overall feel of the place is clean, bright, and beautiful. They have structured meal times, nap time, and activities for the kids.. sending home a cute package of arts & crafts every month! They take the time to clean & sanitize throughout the day, during nap time or outside play time, someone is always doing their part to keep the germs away and make the place look clean & tidy! She is very passionate and knowledgeable in regards to the social, emotional, physical and mental well-being of children. When I initially began to research daycares in the Chilliwack vicinity I was not only looking for a facility where my son would feel safe, comfortable and happy but I also wanted him to grow academically using a play-based philosophy. After visiting Pacific Wynd I immediately knew that Ms. Dinah's philosophy and her home-based style facility was a perfect match for my family. My son is a very strong-willed little boy and Dinah was always so caring, patient and supportive to his varying needs (including his speech and medical needs). Dinah was also very supportive and flexible to accommodate my work schedule by allowing me to change days and times of care (if there was room) as needed. I love that the facility is a home-based style daycare so the maximum number of children attending is small which allows Dinah to spend more one on one time with each child. The facility itself is bright and feels warm, cozy and homey. There is plenty of space and various toys, activities and games both inside and outside to help keep the children engaged and active. My son especially loved running through the sprinkler and digging in the garden during the summer and playing in the snow during the winter. Ms. Dinah also takes pride of her daycare and did an excellent job maintaining the facility, keeping it clean and meets or exceeds all of the BC child care licensing regulations. As a parent and an elementary teacher myself, I highly recommend Pacific Wynd Daycare for your little ones.
