We went there for the first time this Sunday. The message was right in line withbthe word of God. The music was really good. We will try again to see if anything changes. The church reminded me way too much of a Catholic Church in which they regurgitate info from the Bible. It didn't feel authentic like a conversation or story one can relate to. Plus the female pastor was way too serious, it put me to sleep. No humor. Also everything was too vanilla. I need a band that can make me feel the spirit, the emotions. This church is the epitome of what the Christian church should practice. My son's wife passed away and needed a church to hold a funeral service and life celebration, "One and All Church" help my son under their wings of love. My son was refused by the Catholic Churches we used to attend but this church answered the call. The ceremony and reception were all centered on love and above all the pastor did not ask for anything in return. Truly, made me a believer. read more

These people are truly amazing! Greg, Jeremy, Erin and Melissa are absolutely wonderful with customer service, professionalism and just common courtesy. They were patient with us throughout our entire wedding process and helped us bring our fantasy into a reality. Chef Chris Moore is an absolute phenom in the culinary department and will tantalize your taste buds like no other. He is not only a great chef but he is a wonderful human being. He communicates very well, doesn't get bothered by changes and doesn't panic about anything. He is cool as the other side of the pillow and we loved him! Disappointing.. really really disappointng.. I'm planning my wedding and so I'm searching for a venue to hold my reception. I had heard a lot of great things about how beautiful the property is, so I had to check it out. My personal wedding assistant... whom I'd like to call "mom..." had called to inquire if they were available on my wedding date and they said they were. We asked them if we could go check out the premises and if it was advisable to get an appointment and they said that the earliest appointment they had was 4pm that day.. a Saturday. So we get there at five minutes to 4pm.. had to drive around the whole area to get to the office.. so I got a great look at some of the area.. I fell in love with one of the fountains I saw.. so I was so ready to go in there and really talk about the place with serious interest in having my wedding reception there.. Anyway.. we get there ON TIME.. and sign in and the receptionist tells us to go into a room and some would be with us shortly.. So we wait.. And wait.. And wait.. And wait.. THIRTY minutes later.. NO ONE has come in to help us.. the receptionist kept saying someone would be in shortly.. but that never happened.. We got up to leave.. and she looks at us.. and the following conversation occured.. ME: I think we're just going to go.. we have another appointment to get to and no one is helping us.. LADY: I'm sorry no one could help you.. did you want to reschedule? ME: No.. I think I'll just call you.. LADY: Oh. Ok. Hmmm.. how does it not register with them that if someone makes an appointment.. they should have someone available to help this person? It's like making an appointment with a doctor.. and then not having a doctor available to help you.. Um.. isn't the point of having an appointment to ensure that you'll have someone there to help you? And.. she didn't seem too sorry that we were leaving without being helped.. she was very indifferent about it.. did she not want my money? I was really looking at that place as a huge possibility.. but to be treated like that? C'mon.. if I'm going to spend lots of money on a place.. I deserve to be treated better.. Oh ya.. and another discouraging thing about Etiwanda Gardens.. they have this policy.. that they can change the prices of the food WITHOUT notice up to 90 days before the wedding.. Not cool, Etiwanda Gardens.. not cool.. I hope other venues aren't like that! read more

Horrible Experience. We booked our wedding reception over a year in advance. My husband and I would go every month to make payments towards our total. The venue never contacted us for food tasting or for any updates. I finally made the initiation to contact the venue to make final arrangements, (this was 2 months before the wedding). As we drove up to the venue, we see from afar, a playground, right next to the room we had booked. We were very confused. We went in and spoke to them and asked to see our room again. We also asked about specialty linens, and they had no idea what that was. How can you be a wedding coordinator and not know what that is? When we walked in to the room, it was completely changed! It was way smaller! (and we needed it for 200 people, which they knew because was on our contract) and the playground was visible through the windows. I wanted a classy wedding, and that was not classy at all! I don't even want to remember how I felt, but I was so angry. Their excuse was that the venue was bought by another company and they started making changes right away. We had a contract and they did not even bother contacting us to let us know what was going on. If I wouldn't have called, they would never have told us. They directed me to contact the old owner, and when I called him the man yelled at me saying to stop calling him and pretty much called me some names that really left me upset. All I wanted was to work something out. Either give us our money back (because obviously they broke the contract) or give us a discount. The owner preferred giving us our money back. Two months before the wedding, and no venue. That was worse experience EVER! I thought they had ruined everything. Luckily I went with Embassy Suites in Ontario. Totally different experience. Embassy Suites is actually professional and work with you to make your wedding the best. I would NOT recommend Etiwanda Gardens. Please save yourself the misery. I Would not want any bride to experience what I did. The venue has nice places to take photos, but its not worth it. read more

Love, love, love this place!! Our guest were happy to stay in the same location for the ceremony and reception. The room for the bridesmaids and I to get ready in was comfortable and spacious, the coordinators were very nice and helpful. They gave me a runner for the aisle when I didnt have one, kept the ceremony on time and helped move my center pieces to the reception. Beautiful place to have small or large wedding. They give you and option for outside catering or they have their own menu. So many good things to say! My husband and I are so happy to have found this venue :) read more

My husband and I had our wedding here on 8/21/10. We had such a wonderful time my husband asked if we can do it all again and not change a thing! haha. Paige was our contact from the start. I was a little worried about how laid back she was as I'm totally a type A personality, but man does she know what she's doing. Everything went off without a hitch. They accommodate any need/desire you may have and are absolutely fabulous. I wanted a gluten free menu, no problem, special meal just for me. I wanted a bottle of champagne at our table so we didn't have to go to the bar, no problem. We opted instead of paying per person for an open bar, to put down a limit of 2k and once we went through 2k the bar would become cash only. Well we went to $2500 (with 175 people) the WHOLE event and they didn't even charge us the extra $500! Said the bar did so well that it was their gift to us! We were also able to do our engagement photos here. Said we could do them anytime they didn't have a wedding, so all we had to do was call ahead. We married in the chapel - the only thing here is they say 200ish can fit here. It was touch to get the 175 in, so beware on that. It was really beautiful though and the acoustics are amazing. No need to be mic'd or anything. The bridal and grooms rooms are roomy and comfy. They bring you a platter of cheese and crackers and some waters before hand. You have a little backdoor to sneak out of for some pics so others can't see you (the photos turned out amazing). Cocktail hour in the rose pavillion - I was taking photos during this time so I didn't get to enjoy this, but all of my guests relayed to me that they did. It kept them entertained while we took our photos. They have speakers so we played a love song CD in the background. I also started my photobooth out here so the guests had a little more to do. The reception was in the Lilac room with the gorgeous patio on the side. The patio had tables set up for the smokers as well as the perfect spot for my photo booth. The food was delicious and the wait staff were fantastic making sure my husband and I were taken care of getting us whatever drinks we wanted (outside of the champagne I had on our table) and our food first. The dance floor with the beautiful swag overhead looked great. With 175 people in there we were a little tight, but it worked and no one complained. I would highly recommend this place. Don't fear when they seem laid back, this is a good thing as it will help calm you and they will make sure everything falls into place. I was contacted by the new owner of the facility in order to edit or revise my review based on my wedding over ten years ago. I think that's fair. My main gripe was with the person who took our deposit and gave us enough information to keep us from being a pain to him. Things got messed up as a result and we were disappointed. So what you should glean from thie review is that the people who did that are no longer going to be working for you. That's good news! Or who knows? maybe they got their acts together. It could happen in ten years, right? Not in my observation of idiots in the world, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I'll tell you a few things that can't/wont change. The deocr of the outside of the facility was lovely. The chapel was bright, airy, and accomodating for at least 150 people. I loved that koi pond too! Hopefully the new catering people will realize the people paying get to ask questions and deserve things explained to them completely. They also need to be flexible and not give a BS excuse like, "Maybe that's the way they do it in New York, but that's not the way we do it in California." read more

Denise, our wedding coordinator from EG, was amazing. We had our wedding there in January and a separate reception in February and she was the one I could count on for everything. My husband and I were very disappointed in a lot of the process as it was very hard to get a hold of people there and as members of the church we had never experienced this before in seven years. Beautiful venue, but they give you a wedding coordinator and don't give a contract for that said wedding coordinator so if they abandon you like mine did they aren't held accountable for it. I had Melissa Spolar as my wedding coordinator and she scheduled a wedding during my supposed saved rehearsal time slot and instead of giving me a room to practice in, like she said she would, she had a spot of grass with chairs. Then when I asked for a room like we agreed I would have, she gave me a lot of attitude and that took out what little time I already had to rehearse. On the wedding day, I am supposed to just focus on getting ready, but due to her incompetence I had to locate tables, find decorations for said tables, and locate the stands for the ceremony. She was very rude that day and just plain avoided me when months prior she said she was there to make my life easier. Not only was that a lie, but to put the icing on the cake she disappeared during the reception and I had to become the coordinator of my own wedding. A lot of people ended up leaving after appetizer hour because she didn't announce that the reception was coming up. There were no plans with the other staff, so when we were cutting the cake there were no plates or utensils and we stood there awkwardly while people stared at us. I made my wedding great, but Melissa Spolar definitely did not make my life easier. Don't bother talking to Etiwanda Gardens about it either because they don't care. Because of her negligence my mother in law tripped over a light and broke her toe. Did they write a report at the time of the incident? No, because there was no one around to even care about it. Be careful as looks can be deceiving. Looked great, but did not deliver an awesome experience. read more

We had our wedding there May 15, 2015 and it was the best experience. Our wedding and cocktail hour, was supposed to be outside but because it POURED the day before and there was a 90% chance of rain the day of, we had it inside and they totally accommodated everything. The catering was from the venue, Jeremy was the chef, and the food was on time and there was plenty of food for everyone. My mom also said, they have the best spaghetti sauce she has ever had (and we're Italian). We told them what decorations we had and they worked with us to make sure everything would work and helped everything be in place. I felt loved and accommodated for 100%! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a venue for great pictures, and an awesome staff. read more

My husband and I got married at Etiwanda last October and we had a fabulous time! We had planned for the wedding to be outdoors, but the day of the event the Santa Ana winds came through at around 80 mph! The event staff moved vey quickly and efficiently to move our entire wedding indoors last minute and it turned out to be so beautiful!!! I was extreamly sick on our wedding day and all the employees were wonderful. I would never go anywhere else for a wedding. Paige Mulick is the best wedding planner on the face of the earth. Casey and Bree were so good to me and went out of thier way to make sure I was ok. I just had my wedding here i will write honest pro's and con's for potentional brides/gooms to help them make a decision abou this place.. First let me start off by saying we had such a wonderful wedding here, stayed under our budget, fun, and it was so goregous. I did not think I could have such a wonderful beautiful wedding at the price we wanted. Paige was so awesome in helping us cut cost in areas that werent neccesary to over spend yet still have a beautiful wedding. We trusted her advice and everything worked out so great for us, she is so fny and extremely warm and inviting...all together we spent $8,500 for 150 ppl including some extras we purchased..the bar is not too expensive and the bar tender was not greedy with the liquor in making mixed drinks lol..$1,000 ( included in the $8500 i mentioned) lasted almost the whole night and we were suprised. There is this guy name ED he pretty much decorates and sets up the room for you ( linens tables etc.) He he absolutely wonderful!! He tries all he can to help make your wedding look even better, he goes out of his way and will even throw in props and decor he personally made or has just for you, he made our wedding day a little more special. I owe him alot for his help. I would def have another event here just because of him. The staff and helpers (especially the day of coordinators) we absolutely wonderful, they made the day run so smooth and less stressful they really work hard to keep you calm so you can enjoy your day without worrying about anything. The place was beautful and alot cheaper than most places we looked into not to mention the food was great with great presentation.. We were allowed to pay for extra plates if extra guest showed up and they over set for 10 extras in case more show up, but we didnt have that problem The cons- the owner is a lady and she isnt so nice and is a lil b it rude. We had kids at the wedding and she is not fond of kids running around your wedding, which I understand cuz kids can get disruptive but they are kids they wanna have fun too, she basically wanted them to sit in their seats and not move. My groom was not happy when she basically told him to control the kids, mainly becuz it was his wedding and he didnt want to deal with issues. I just didnt like having the owner walking around my wedding like she was babysitting us, kinda made us feel uncomfortable..then we brought our own chocolate fountain but could not use it because you have to use theirs according to the owner, which to me is so dumb, if you have your own why cant you use it. The owner would be the only one reason I wouldnt have the wedding here, but my encounters with her were so mild compared to the rest of the staffs efforts they were spectacular, so id still have my wedding there if i had to do it all over again. other than the owner, everything was extremely great, all other staff is so wonderful and go above and beyond to make you comfortable and make your day special, they all were really nice and desite the encounter with the owner We dont not regret having our wedding here, best decision we made and would def do it all over again in a heart beat. Etiwanda Gardens under the Christ Church of the Valley management was the best choice for my wedding venue and catering. I had another venue lined up but when I came to Etiwanda Gardens for a work function four months before my wedding, I knew immediately I had to change. The stone backdrop in the chapel and the rustic wood beams in the pavilion were everything I wanted for a classic fall wedding. Jeremy the caterer and Greg the head event coordinator helped facilitate the transition and three business days after my work function I was officially a client of Etiwanda Gardens. Jeremy and Greg answered all my emails in an efficient manner. They also were very flexible with all my requests and said yes to nearly everything, for instance, extra time in the venue prior to the ceremony. Be forewarned for brides who want flame candles, they don't have a permit, and going thru the city of rancho Cucamonga is arduous. Ultimately it was worth it to have LED candles. I like also how the day of coordinator Denise worked in conjunction with my wedding planner, who after 17 months of working with me truly knew what I wanted. It was important to me that the day of coordinator did not try to overpower my wedding planner, and Denise did not. As far as the dinner, I didn't eat the food because I was too excited but I know my husband ate his plate and mine and my friends said they loved the food. Jeremy was amazing, the first requests we made he said "absolutely" and as a result we got pot roast, sides of green bean casserole, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and spiced apples. My only regret is not asking for a to go bag. He also made a delicious cookie bar with milk. Appetizers were adorable too, grilled cheese and mini hot dogs. We also got a martinellis toast and a cappuchino bar that was already in the pavilion space. All in all, I am so grateful every day that I changed venues because my wedding would not have as beautiful as it was if it wasn't at Etiwanda Gardens. read more
