Renewal time! As you already know One Beat is where I head to. The new rule allows for me to study at home and then go in to demonstrate the skill, however I feel there is always more to learn in a live presentation with someone that is an EMT with years of experience. Rudy was the instructor. He was professional and thorough in walking through each step. He made sure everyone's questions were answered before moving on. If you contact One Beat you can request for him to either come to your office, house training or go to their Miramar location. One Beat provides a small medical emergency reference book, snacks and a compact barrier bag for use during an emergency situation where you need to provide CPR. The price went up. I believe it was $65, however I then used a 10% off promo code. There is plenty of parking, the faculty appears clean, there is an elevator to go to the second floor which is where the classroom is. Great Experience! Our instructor was a Police Officer Supervisor. He was incredible. His delivery was very fun, hands on playful but yet EFFECTIVE! I remember everything from the course. He used real life situations to relate to us and encouraged us during the class. The class was $40 for AED/CPR/BLS/FA...great investment. read more

The facility has safety measures in place and I was welcomed at the door by two people ( one that checked my temperature and another at receptionist). The instructor, Rudy, is a well of knowledge in the medical field. He gave very in depth explanation and provided examples. This is probably the best CPR class I've ever taken. The instructor, Russ, was the best! I really like the fact that he's a Paramedic and Firefighter and really knows his stuff. The class was enjoyable ( I mean it's a CPR class, don't know how much fun that would be) and went by fast. I'm glad I came here and I truly learned a lot because I was engaged. I would recommend this class over any other CPR class around and will definitely have my staff renew their CPR certificate here. I was searching online for a place to renew my CPR locally and found One Beat CPR. I called and they had a class open on Saturday. They told me I could sign up over the phone or I could register online. I did it through their website and it was quick and easy. As soon as I got there, check-in was fast, staff was polite and courteous even though I was arriving a little late. I was given a book and they had coffee and donuts laid out for the participants. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and funny. The class had a good pace and he made sure that everyone's questions were answered. I think he said he was an Army EMT and told us about many real life emergencies. We moved on to the hands-on practice with the manikins and AEDs. It was very informative. We also learned about First Aid techniques for choking and drowning. Super important because I am also a Mom and summer is right around the corner. For the price (I paid $45) I am happy I chose them, I got my American Heart Association BLS card on the same day and its good for two years. If I had any negatives to say, it would be partly that my GPS routed me somewhat our of their way. Then I searched the address on Maps, I passed the place more than once trying to locate. When you are very close, you can see their sign, but from 441 is hard to tell. If you need your CPR renewed quickly, in a fun way and a good value, this place is for you. read more

Our CPR and AED instruction was led by Todd. He is direct, engaging, very professional, and brings great on-the-job stories to the class. The participation element adds confidence and sharpens focus on what 'the drill is' when someone is down. I always recert my ACLS and PALS here because their classes are the most direct, to the point classes. They give you the knowledge you need without wasting your time. I don't like doing these recerts, but this is the best way to do it if your hospital requires you to have updated cards. read more
