From early on, she offered thoughtful guidance on exercises, breathing techniques, and what to expect throughout the birthing process, which helped me feel more prepared and less overwhelmed. We were all impressed by her knowledge of the birthing process, babies, and how confidently she guided me along the way. When it came time for labor, her support was exactly what I needed. She helped me work through contractions, kept me grounded with my breathing, and created a calm, reassuring environment. Her care feels truly personal, and it's clear she's passionate about what she does. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing doula!

From the very beginning, she made me feel supported, educated, and completely empowered. Going into this pregnancy, a successful VBAC was incredibly important to me and Amber believed in me every step of the way. She never wavered in her confidence, even in moments when I needed extra reassurance. Her calm presence, steady encouragement, and deep knowledge made such a difference in helping me feel safe and strong during labor. Because of her support, I was able to achieve the VBAC I so deeply hoped for. That experience was healing, powerful, and something I will cherish forever. She advocated for me, guided my husband in how to support me, and created an environment where I felt completely heard and respected. Amber isn't just a doula she is a gift. Thank you so much to mothersRetreat and If you are looking for someone who will stand beside you with compassion, strength, and unwavering belief in your body and your birth, she is the one. I will forever be thankful she was by our side as we welcomed our baby girl into the world.

My husband and I came to TGP just for information on hospital birth and ended up being blessed in so many ways by the employees there. After meeting and becoming informed by Michelle, one of the owners, we decided to hire a doula in order to have assistance during the birth of our first baby. Their doula services come at different prices in order to ensure that everyone from varying financial backgrounds can have access to this vital service. Our doula, Florencia, was a rock for us during the birth. She kept me focused and ensured that I got the birth that I wanted for baby and me. All the doula services come with access to three very informative classes. Take advantage of these and their very knowledgeable team! We learned so much and met other families going through this experience. It was wonderful. I can't say enough and express how grateful I am to these ladies. They made the community real for me when I didn't think it possible. I had arranged to have the two female doctors at the practice I used be available to assist my birth. The day I went into labor, my doctor and her backup became unavailable. Leaving me to their male doctor who had been particularly unkind to me at previous visits. I was a wreck laboring thinking he would be at the delivery. My doula contacted the owners at TGP and they made magic happen. Through their help I was seen and had my baby delivered at the hospital by an amazing midwife. My situation may not be common but their assistance was amazing and made the community of women empowering child birth real to me. It goes without saying my husband and I couldn't be more grateful for their services. Our little baby boy was born healthy, naturally, and drug free this past May.

Having a doula was incredibly…read moreimportant to me during my labor that I actually booked one from the Gathering Place at only 4 months pregnant. At 34 weeks, my doula contacted me via EMAIL to inform me she was moving out of state and no longer able to attend my birth or provide postpartum support. Frantically I tried to find a new doula but at that point there weren't many options and I did not have anytime to build rapport. They gave me an alternate doula who was listed as a level I (I paid for level IV) and then tried to suggest that their website was not up to date. They were also impossible to get in touch with and only communicated by text and email. I ended up not being able to have any doula support at very complicated early induction due to preeclampsia where I ended up having every intervention under the sun short of a c section to make sure my daughter could be safely delivered. My daughter just came home from nicu and I have no postpartum support - my family does not live near me and with the covid resurgence they are not able to come - another reason why I wanted a doula. The kicker is, the Gathering Place won't even give me a full refund after all of this. If having a doula is an important part of your birth plan or postpartum plan, I would highly recommend going elsewhere to ensure you actually have one when your baby actually arrives.

The phone consultation was exactly as long as she told me it would be. She was professional, courteous and thoroughly explained my chart, which moon or planet in each house and what that means. She gave anecdotal explanation if I struggled to understand it. I felt the read was extremely accurate and I was impressed. I think I try to "test" readers as many fish for info or look for affirmations to see which direction to lead. Seda did not. I am a happy customer and will use her services again.

So it is inevitable that all of us bring our own emotions, triggers and experiences to our parenting. And if you’re reading this right now it is obvious that you’re one of the parents who wants what is best for your kids. I believe that while raising children, intentions and love do matter the most, on the other hand each children deserve to be guided and loved by the best version of their parents has to offer them, and we can do that by loving ourselves first and learning the tools and practices necessary to communicate, cooperation and connection in our home. It’s so easy to fall back into power over, power under, traditional or familiar patterns of parenting, without related knowledge, the support and accountability. My passion is helping parents to raise awareness to the cycle of generational trauma and support them to make the shift from frustration, overwhelm and exhaustion to connection, cooperation and joy to raise happy and resilient kids without punishment, fear, or shame-based methods.

Our son attended 2 different classes provided by Code Explorers as part of Enrichment Classes after school. Our son was called STUPID by other kids while under the supervision of their instructors. They had pushed him and felt on top of the backpacks. The director of the program called me the day after the class. She stated she believed our son has a developmental delay (his correct diagnosis is Asperger's and he attends general education classes). She complained that our son walked around and it was an inconvenience they would need to protect the ipads. The director or the program did not mention the bullying incident. Their "solution" to the problem was to isolate our son and let him spend the class playing games in the computer. When my husband picked up our son from one of the classes (when we had no knowledge yet of the bullying incident), he saw our son playing at the computer by himself and there were 2 big kids fighting. The teacher had to get between these two kids and scream to get their attention. Our son had been playing Lego Ninjago the whole time, by himself. Because we feared for the safety of our son and because he was not learning anything as they were not teaching him anything, we pulled out our son from these classes, we were told they would refund our money, which we have not received yet. I contacted Code Explorers several times and they have never called me not responded to my e-mails. I was just trying to get them to understand how devastating the experience our son had in their classes, but it looks like they don't care.

Warning you now NOT to attend this school especially if you want to actually learn something…read more From the beginning they hound you with calls and emails to get you to come in for a "tour". I never received a tour. Instead I was asked to come in and instantly bombarded with information on programs based on my previous student record scores. I originally went for the sonography program and ended up in the radiology program. Once classes start your "advisor" wipes there's hands and forgets about you. Any questions you have you'll need to go straight to the dean of the school. Communication is terrible at this school. Professors teach by reading off a pretyped PowerPoint. Literally just reading. I could do that at home or online. When it comes to the hands on lab side of class your expected to preform correctly the first time or "you didn't do your homework and read the chapter". The program director for the RTA program is extremely unprofessional and treats students like they're stupid. She curses in class and will call you out infront of everyone to embarrass you. She has favorites in her classes and she has no issues expressing it verbally to the class. She ruins it for the actual professor teaching class. She micromanages and doesn't even allow him to run his class as he wishes. EVERYTHING needs to be run by her and when you ask questions everything is "I don't know yall didn't read your handbook". Expect for the unexpected. You'll be told things last minute and then be told "did you not read the handbook". The outline they give for the program, half the time nobody knows what's going on. They'll stress to you to get your vaccines, flu and covid done asap as if it's super important. I suggest waiting until right before clinicals to avoid being rejected. I had my Covid and flu done at Publix and I was given a hard time on paperwork. Make sure you know ahead of time EVERYTHING you'll need for your program. I ended up dropping out of my program because I couldn't take the disorganization anymore nor the lack of support. It took me over 2 weeks just to reach someone to withdraw me. I know they were stalling so they could get my FA disbursement. It took my New school to call and speak to the FA director to stop my FA disbursement then it took several calls, messages and emails to even speak to the dean. Not until my new school called did I even get a call back then I had to call a week later non stop to make sure my withdrawal was completed properly. Not sure how this school is even open with the terrible system they have going on currently. I was a university advisor for 3 years and I know for a fact the way this school treats students is unacceptable. I've attempted to submit my complaints to the dean and they were just brushed off. I still speak to several people from my class and nothing has changed since I've been gone. (I withdrew 1 month ago). Nobody contacted me about my withdrawal or anything. Terrible school. You won't succeed as a student with there teaching styles unless you do well with just reading a textbook and that's it.
