First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've actually only ben to this stadium 3 times (or about 10 if you count visiting the outside of it). It's absolutely tiny inside! You'd never imagine it's a Premier League stadium. It is pretty modern and enjoyable on the inside though. The rich owners have jazzed it up and made it like a posh little box. The crowd is absolutely intense and right on top of the field and I always feel like part of the action when I'm in here. Definitely one of the better stadiums, but the prices and the small size are the reason it's a 4. I've been to every significant stadium in UK & US, due to a lifelong obsession with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later followed Liverpool (fave team) around. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, visiting hundreds of stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. I can't give this stadium less than a 4 because it's so loud and intense and the crowd are right on top of the players, but there's no way such a tiny stadium can get a 5 for a club that should really have a bigger and grander stadium. It looks like they won't be in the Prem much longer anyway (they never usually are), but if the club won't be missed (too many London clubs, esp West London), then the stadium will and its atmosphere too. It's in White City, a great part of London that is maybe a little racially monotonous. It's just near Shepherd's Bush. I think maybe he should shave it off. It opened in 1904, and Fulham briefly played here in the 00s.

In the spring of 2002, when I was doing a semester abroad in London, I did a work study (internship) at QPR. At the time, they were in the Second Division (third tier). I had hear of QPR but didn't know much about the club. But my time there made me a fan and I'm proud to be a supporter of the R's. Now that they're back in the top flight, I had a perfect excuse to head back over the pond for a visit and to take in a Premiership match. Loftus Road Stadium is definitely a throw-back to the more modest days of the sport. Compared to Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium (review here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-emirates-stadium-london#hrid:nvZxRYSY_mKiQndnHx2iQw), Loftus Road is like a backyard shed. It's old, not at all modern, and for a Premier League ground, quite small. But it also has immense character, is very intimate, and incredibly approachable. One of the great things about the smaller clubs is how accessible the players are as well. If you get to Loftus Road early you can catch many of the players walking from the player parking lot into the stadium, and most of them are happy to stop to sign an autograph or snap a quick photo with you. Try doing that at Manchester United or Chelsea! QPR is a fantastic little club with an incredible history. Hopefully they'll be in the top flight for years to come. Which means I better start saving up now for what I hope can be an annual pilgrimage.

This club is not very far from the tube but it has a country club feel with big tennis courts and a pool. A cool thing about this club is that they also offer language courses. You can learn french here. This club does a lot of family fun nights as well, if you're into that sort of thing. You can seriously hang out here all day!

They told me that even though I have to pay a £155 deposit, I had two options: 1) use the deposit to buy extra ammunition OR 2) get a refund. Two months later, I still have not received my refund. After several emails, the "manager" called me today and said that if I wanted the refund, I should have called them at 10am the day of the event. Mind you, I was busy paintballing at 10am on the day of the event. Biggest frauds ever. Take your money to an honest business.

There are 10 tennis couts, with some floodlit. There are also 2 squash courts and a gym. They have a club house with excellent Thai caterers. We had our child's birthday party here and it was £150 with food and 20 children. They prepared enough food to feed 35 kids! There is an cafe for parents to sit and keep an eye on the kids while they run riot up and down the play equipment but it is in a seperate room so the noise is minimalised. The gym in the centre is old and small. It really needs updating but if you don't want to join a fancy expensive gym with lots of modern facilities it is suitable for need. they do offer a good range of exercise classes and there is a large football field outside too. There is also a children's holiday club running during the school holidays which is reasonably priced and seems to offer a good range of activities to keep the kids happy.

Then the ticket station we were at had their ticket machine crash, so we took our unique IDs to the other side of the stadium to one that was working at a customer service desk. Then, once issued tickets, we had to go back to the other side to enter the stadium because you apparently can't walk the entire concourse around. As a result, we were 20 minutes late. Fans were fun and not overly rowdy and there are family sections available. Restrooms were clean if not pedestrian.

Before you can enter security will search your bags and ask for ID, which they scan for their records. Entrance fees are £3 friday/Saturday evenings and just £1 off-peak - they accept cash only. The venue is massive - there are bowling lanes on both floors (twelve lanes each to make 24 in total), karaoke rooms and arcades on the ground floor. Bowling is very cheap (for zone 2) at £5.20 per person per game, and drinks were also reasonable. They play 90s pop music and there is a small dance floor also where people can dance in between turns to bowl! Further into the venue there are pool tables at £1.50 a game. I initially had reservations before entering the place as the crowd outside the station seemed a little rough...but was pleasantly surprised to find many sensible groups of (mostly) young people having a great time bowling/dancing/playing pool. The place has a great 'back-to-school' atmosphere about it, and the prices also feel the same way. One can order Domino's pizza as I believe Rowans has a partnership with them. The bowling lanes are pretty standard, maybe a bit low tech, but still good fun. The pool tables are also in decent consition. The karaoke rooms have song databases that are more or less up to date with the latest songs. I *believe* it is well sound-proofed. There are cabs waiting outside the station should you wish to stay until after the last tube. Decent location, excellent prices and better service than kne would expect for the cost. This is an excellent venue for birthday parties or for groups of friends to simply enjoy a good fun night out! 5/5.
