My bridal beauty team has collaborated with Danielle on multiple weddings & events, giving me the happy opportunity to get to know her well over the last 8yrs. Some of Danielle's beautiful traits that stand out the most are: She is down to earth, hilarious, and welcoming; everyone is treated like family! Spending even a short amount of time with her means you are instantly enveloped in excitement, laughter, and vibrant creativity. Her dedication to bringing dreams into tangible reality is impressive! Since Yelp will not let me post my 5-page review... I will super condense it. From the moment we met Danielle and found out about her occupation (a year before we got engaged), we knew that using One Fine Day would be in our future. From the immediate response to the request for more info on her website to the day after our wedding when I had an important question... Danielle and the crew took the best care of us. We did a first look reveal before our ceremony. Taking pictures before gave us more time to party. My wife and I couldn't wait to see each other. Before, Danielle would run back and forth to check on us while transforming our venue into a dreamscape. All I wanted to know was how my wife was doing. I knew she would look beautiful, just like she always does, but I wanted Danielle's confirmation. "She's doing well. She wants to see you. She's eating LIKE HOW YOU SHOULD BE EATING. Of course, she is beautiful." I think she was just as anxious and excited as we were to see each other. We felt so much love from Danielle and the crew. It was a perfect day. She made us feel like we were her only clients. I have wondered if anyone else felt the same way and was treated likewise. When I look at other reviews, I find that this is true for everyone else. The support, the attention to detail, emergency dress repair skills, imagination, and transparency. We all get it! I'm not sure how to thank Danielle and her crew. I guess a short review does plenty... but we are eternally grateful to her team. I wish we had copious amounts of money so we could have her throw parties... Danielle and her team are amazing!! I seriously have no idea what I would have done without them. I'm a control freak with trust issues when it comes to logistics and organizing, and they wowed me again & again. Danielle's memory and attention to detail skills are unparallel. Danielle and Sarah were amazing. My husband and I weren't even going to hire a coordinator for our event, but we are so very happy that we did! We hired them a little over a month before our wedding for their Day Of services. If you are trying to decide on hiring a coordinator and are worried about your budget you should definitely give them a call. They will discuss everything with you up front and not pressure you into a sale. From the first meeting with Danielle we knew she wouldn't sell us anything we didn't need. And for someone like me with a "must do everything by myself to feel comfortable" personality, I felt very confident in their ability to take control of the nitty gritty duties that come on the big day. Our wedding was almost 5 months ago, and we can honestly say that the months leading up to it AND the big day itself were a complete disaster due to working with Danielle Hastings and her team at One Fine Day Events. Even now, I still have trouble thinking and reflecting on my wedding day because it brings me so much sadness. She ruined my wedding day, and I have no idea how her business has survived until now. I am writing this review to protect others out there who are looking for a wedding planner. I would never want someone else to go through what we did... DECEITFUL- Danielle said we were the only event that weekend, and we had her team's full attention since they had messed up so many different things with us already. And yet, she came late to the rehearsal AND was rushing to leave the rehearsal early. In the 10 months prior to our wedding, we were repeatedly lied to by Danielle Hastings, spoken negatively of by her to our vendors (she accidentally forwarded us the emails). ABSENT COORDINATOR- Danielle was our lead coordinator, and did not attend either of our two meetings with the venue, in the last few months leading up to our wedding day. The person she sent to the first meeting was fired a few weeks before our wedding, so all the vital information discussed in that meeting was not adequately passed on to Danielle (even though she kept reassuring us she had all the notes). Then she missed our 2nd meeting, because she claimed she had no idea when it was. Now, if you know your client is getting married in a month and that they have an appt with the venue 2 weeks prior, wouldn't you ask your clients for the date instead of claiming you didn't know?! INCONSISTENT OFFICE- Danielle is constantly firing her own staff, and blaming them for when things go wrong. Very often, she would tell us, "I can only do so much, that's why I have a team of people who work for me. I'm only as good as my team." Every time there was a big mistake with our wedding planning, we would find out that someone else got fired. There was so much office chaos and fast turnovers, that in the end, we were the ones that suffered. LOW PRIORITY- Danielle told us that the partial planning package covered the entire wedding month. However, she provided NO assistance in helping the day before. Our venue coordinator had to help me set up table numbers and décor pieces, and even she was surprised that the coordinator that I Paid For wasn't doing the tasks expected. Danielle didn't even reach out to us the week of the wedding to see if we were okay, or if we needed anything. She also came late to the rehearsal AND was rushing to leave the rehearsal early. If that's not enough, below are the ways that she ruined our wedding day experience on the day itself- DISRESPECTED OUR FAMILIES- Danielle's staff told the groom's parents that they were not to walk out during reception and that they needed to take their seats, despite the fact that I sent clear emails on who is walking out and to which song. These emails clearly stated that both parents were walking out, followed by the bridal party. It was embarrassing having music playing for our parents, and finding out they were sitting in their seats because that's what One Fine Day told them to do. RUINED BRIDE'S ENTRANCE- Danielle said she would signal the stringed trio before I made my entrance, but she did not do it, and that led the musicians to start playing my processional song and then stop playing halfway through. It was extremely embarrassing to walk down the aisle in silence. Danielle promised us that they use walkie talkies, but did not use them the day of our wedding due to "poor reception" at our venue site. She could've tested her equipment earlier at the venue, or had a backup plan, but she didn't. GAVE CARD BOX AWAY- We gave clear instructions (name and picture) on who should bring home our belongings and card box- a family member. Instead, Danielle gave our wedding card box to a guest (a co-worker) who offered to help transport leftover food to our house. She couldn't even tell us the name of the person she gave it to, sending us on a wild goose hunt. ABSENT DURING RECEPTION- For the last hour of our reception, the entire OFD team was nowhere to be found by us or our family members. When asked why, she said that she was busy trying to prevent the fire alarm from going off, and Danielle claims she told our best man and MC about the fire alarm going off. We talked to the venue, who reviewed their video camera recordings, and they said the fire alarm was never at risk of going off. We asked our best man and MC, and he said Danielle and her staff never mentioned a fire alarm to him. Danielle will say any lie to protect herself. BENEFITS- There are only 2 ways that I can honestly say Danielle and her team at One Fine Day Events were helpful to us- She picked up my dress the week of the wedding, since I lived 3 hrs away. She also came early that morning to the hotel at 4:30am. read more

We walked in stressed out that we were behind on finding a suitable planner and we walked out elated that we had made a friend and booked a planner who gave us a sense of peace and purpose. As a first time bride at 52 (good things come to those who wait), I didn't need help finding vendors since most of the ones I planned to use were personal friends. However, after throwing many parties - both large and small - over the years, I knew that there are always dozens of details to be handled on the day of the event. Details that I did not want to be handling on my wedding day. About the time I started searching for a day-of coordinator, I also started realizing that I didn't really know a lot about wedding specific details, traditions and etiquette and my stress level starting rising. After my first meeting with Danielle Hastings, I knew I would be in good hands with her and her team. She was direct and straightforward. It was clear that she understood the wedding process thoroughly (both planning and execution) and she and her team could very competently take all the weight off my shoulders. They helped pull everything together and got all my vendors on the same page - literally - a page containing a very detailed timeline. And then... when we had a big snafu on the day of the wedding - the tent company did not deliver any chairs - they handled it quickly, competently and seamlessly. I cannot recommend One Fine Day Weddings Events enough. By handling the stressful devilish details, they will do as much or more to make you a beautiful beaming bride on your wedding day as any make-up artist every could. read more
