She never made me feel rushed, never made me feel like I had a dumb question and answered any questions I could have possibly had at every appointment. This was so assuring as a first time mom. I would recommend her to anyone and will absolutely go back and see her for my next pregnancy and also GYN needs. The nurses and ultra sound techs were also super nice!!! They have a large waiting room and only once during my pregnancy did I have to wait longer than 10-20 minutes to be called back. They do have a strict late policy and the one time I was late, the receptionist was a bit sassy, so make sure you are on time! A couple times she wasn't in the office so I had to see other providers. The mid wives I saw were all fabulous! I also saw Dr. Dehoff who I did not care for. It seemed like he was 'mansplaining' and I felt extremely rushed and like my questions weren't welcome. He said "do you have any questions as he opened the door to leave". I would not see him again but everyone else was amazing and I received the best care!!! When in the hospital delivering my daughter, the Dr's and mid wives from this practice were all really nice and listened to me/my concerns. Dr. Hyatt (only delivers babies, doesn't see office patients) was also very kind and great at his job. We love Dr. Wilson and Providence OBGYN!

I have debated posting this because I fear harassment from the general public and retaliation from…read moreNovant, Providence OBGYN and Phillip DeHoff, who have already hurt me and my family so much. However, because medical board complaints are not public, and because it is rare for doctors to face tangible consequences from such complaints, I view it as my duty to share this and inform Charlotte area women. My silence may protect me from harassment and retaliation, but it also protects doctors who are already protected by the institutions they work for. This only results in more women being hurt. So I am sharing this despite very being so frightened of what may come of it. On November 29, 2023, while sitting on my couch at home I started hemorrhaging bleeding through my pants on to my couch, scaring myself, my husband, and my boys. I was bleeding so much, I wouldn't have been allowed on a plane. I went to the Novant ER thinking I'd be treated promptly. I had an IUD and learned that I was pregnant with a blighted ovum (no fetal heartbeat, no baby, just an empty gestational sac). The on-call OBGYN was DeHoff. The next 15 hours were the worst of my life. It's hard for me to recount the events because one of the symptoms of the PTSD caused by those events is to feel like you're reliving them, so I am enclosing pictures of the complaint I filed against DeHoff with the NC Medical Board. You can see them in the practice pictures. Since I've started sharing this story, I've learned that a woman who I know from my sons' former preschool also filed a complaint against DeHoff with Novant and Providence OBGYN in September 2023, two months before I encountered him. This woman also informed her OBGYN Dr. Nora Arronte of her concerns regarding DeHoff and subsequently filed a complaint against DeHoff with the NC Medical Board, which is currently pending (like my complaint). Thus, Novant and Providence OBGYN (and at least one of Providence OBGYN's other physicians, Dr. Arronte) appear to have prior knowledge of this doctor's track record of harming women. My understanding is that since I submitted my complaint, De Hoff is no longer doing OB work, and is only doing GYN work. I do not know if this is as a result of the complaint, whether De Hoff has lost his hospital admission privileges or if this is the natural career progression of an aging doctor with multiple malpractice complaints pending before his licensing board. I am frightened to share this but view it as my civic duty to inform this community of someone I consider a public danger to women who remains employed by a "reputable" practice despite their apparent knowledge of his actions.

What an amazing Photographer! I found Brittany Lauren Photography from a google search when I was 8…read moremonths pregnant. Usually you would have to secure a maternity and newborn photographer well before you become 6 months pregnant. But when I contacted her, she was more then able to fit me in her schedule. That's amazing in and of itself. When it was time for our session, Brittany was so nice and patient with our 3 yr old and was so gentle and caring with our newborn. She didn't rush through our session and really took her time with our newborn. I must say that our newborn was in baby heaven, because she was able to bend him in all kinds of cute poses without a peep from him. She keeps the room warm to their liking as well as having a sound machine going during our entire session to keep babies as calm as possible. Upon initial contact with Brittany to inform her of our intent to have a newborn session when our little girl arrives, she immediately established and continuously maintained communication to keep us informed and on track with our session planning. Her registration and deposit payment process was seamless and effortless as well, which made the process of planning easy on us as we were already so busy with preparing for our baby's arrival. My favorite part about the registration process was the video welcome we received. That kind of personal interaction is so rare these days, and the time devoted to us as individual clients was greatly appreciated! She also provided us with instructions and guidance on how to prepare for our session, and that ended up being priceless! On the day of our session, Brittany arrived right on time, gave us a great walkthrough of the process, and even took some time to hold and get to know our little girl. I try to avoid Hospitals if possible but sometimes, you don't have an option. Over the last year,…read moremy wife and I have both had occasion to use this hospital and I was very impressed both times. My case was a routine colonoscopy that turned into any but routine. Had the initial procedure done at Novant North in Huntersville and initially everything was unremarkable. 10 days later I developed GI hemorrhaging and first I was taken to Novant Huntersville and then transferred to Presbyterian Medical Center when I was admitted to the CCU. Spent 2 1/2 days and ended up with 3 IV 's of whole blood, 6 liters of saline and a host of other injections to stabilize my body. For the first 24 hours I had constant care and vitals taken every hour. Next day was better but while the frequency diminished, I was still got regular tests. In the course, I was visited by physicians from my Gastroenterologist office on a regular basis. The wanted to keep me another 24 hours but since I live close to Novant North and my signs had stabilized, I was able to talk them into releasing me the evening of the third day. My wife's Gastroenterologist wanted her to have an Ultrasound of the liver as a preventative diagnostic tool. Her appointment was at 12:30 and we needed to be there 15 minutes early. I dropped her off at noon and she walked in while I parked the car. Walked into the main lobby and took a seat and waited. She walked out at 12;25, 5 minutes prior to her scheduled time. Stopped for lunch but by the time we got home, the radiologist; had already read the scans and results were sent to her and to the Doctor who had requested the tests. Very impressed with the level of service and efficiency.

2nd worst experience of my life - cruel, nasty, uncaring people who didn't even plug in my…read morenecessary saline solution -- even after i showed a nurse it wasn't plugged in. she said she was getting off duty and would alert the nurse's station outside my door (she didn't). the mentally challenged woman (i'm being kind here) brought my meal and put it on a high shelf across the room (so no, i had nothing to eat when there - not that i'd want to consume any crap coming out of their kitchen). one compliment -- as awrful as they are and are well known to be, they aren't quite as awful as atrium cms uptown -- oh god. . . . they have some "deal" with medic who insisted i be taken there after a recent fall on our hard wood floors hitting my head. they treated me like a criminal and their records of my condition & how they treated me are tota.l lies!!!! i have called medicare to warn them of what will be b.s., lying, false charges. i've re-checked their records numerous times -- all lies!!!!!
