The two of us finished with a few minutes left. It does feel a little low budget. The rooms are on the second floor in what feels like an office building. The intro to the room was given by the puzzlemaster himself with the best of his acting ability. But the mechanics were pretty cool and unique. It also was not strictly linear, meaning you did not necessarily need to solve all of the puzzles in order, which I liked. You have unlimited hints, and the puzzlemaster sometimes just gives you hints if it seems like you are stuck. One unlocking mechanism malfunctioned while we were in the room, so the puzzlemaster had to kick us out for a minute and fix it. The ending (no spoilers!) felt somewhat anticlimatic. But all-in-all it was pretty fun. There are not all that many escape rooms in Northern Jersey, so we will likely be back to try the other rooms.

This was probably our 15th escape room…read more.. and it was our least favorite and the most we've ever paid for one. 1) They allow up to 15 people to do one room. But since the entire escape room has to be in sequential order, there's only 1 puzzle that can be worked on at a time. Only about 4 people could work on it and everyone else just had to stand around. If they're going to allow that many people, more puzzles to solve at one time is a must or it gets boring for everyone else. Too linear for such a large group. 2) The clues were not very creative, most of the time the code was written right next to it. There are more creative ways with that many people to gather clues for the codes. 3) Clues were smeared which need to be updated so you can actually read it. 4) It was so hot in there! And I'm usually cold every where I go for reference. 5) When a door would unlock there was no sound or indication it was open which was frustrating because we were doing the right thing waiting for a door to open but no idea when it finally opened. A sound effect would be nice. 6) Speakers need to be updated, they were blaring and hard to hear 7) The tips given were what we had already solved 8) No countdown clock to know how much time we had left. 9) No signs or place to do a photo op at the end. Usually these places have signs you can hold up like "we escaped" in x amount of time. Typically the employee will take a photo and make it fun. If it were $20/person I think I'd be less irritated. It was the probably the largest escape room I've ever seen. Could easily split the room in half, and offer more escape rooms with less people in each. Basically just 1 puzzle per room felt like wasted real estate. Could have been so much cooler with the size of their escape room. Our group of 6 left not saying much. Any time I've gone with groups people are talking about how fun it was. It was just an awkward exit.

We made a reservation for my brother's birthday as a surprise and this was the only location that had availability as this chain of Escape the Room also has locations in Hackensack and in Madison. Worked out well because we played Minute to Win It before entering the Escape the Room and it was so much fun! We played a few games and our hostess kept tabs on the score. Don't want to give too much away but they kept us entertained and in competitive spirits! Once we got to the Escape the Room, I was at awe at how real it felt. The Gamemaster was pretty good at giving us clues not that it helped us much because we did not escape! He was nice enough to tell us the answers after we failed and honestly I don't think I would still be able to escape! But it was so much fun nonetheless. After the escape the room, we all play virtually reality games and since we did a private booking, the booking came with pizza which was so ridiculously good!! Had to take off a star only because there was a discrepancy closing out the bill which had nothing to do with the actual team at the location. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The puzzles for the most part make sense and were solvable. The room used some technology and everything appeared to work correctly. Room was linear for a lot of it but did have sections where several activities could be completed at once. I'd say it was medium difficulty we asked for one hint and finished with 3 minutes to spare. I'd definitely return to try out the other two rooms at this location.

With 30 minute prep, he turns a room of your house into a unique escape the room event. We had about 10 11/12 year olds each time and it was perfect. Set up is about 30 minutes, break down is roughly the same. I can't recommend it highly enough. A unique and fairly cost efficient birthday option. I believe he does adult parties too but haven't done one yet.
