So glad we decided to check out the Rocknoceros concert today! During the summer they generally play from 11am-12 pm on Mondays. Good thing is the splash pad is open from 10 am- 10 pm so you can get there early to dodge the summer heat or enjoy the water play during the concert. It's great not having to worry about paying for parking at the ramps and there are fun lights on the water fountains as well as some interesting play structures at the plaza. My daughter is still a bit young but maybe by next summer she'll be ready to climb and play on the interactive play ground. read more

We went to the one loudoun carnival upon the kid's insistence. There was good turnout, had an interesting offering of rides for the teenagers, and not super expensive, but there was no place to sit for the parents who didn't want to go on the rides. Net net not a bad exp at all, I recommend you give it a try. read more

[Coronavirus review] This shopping center was surprisingly lively in this day and age. It seems relatively well-positioned as it is outdoors and has ample sidewalk seating, and plenty of people were using the space. They also had parking spots reserved for restaurant pickup, which was always a good idea and is even more so now. Conversely, I worry about the Alamo Drafthouse, but it had signs up for the new Christopher Nolan movie. That will be an interesting test of whether movie theaters remain a viable business. The businesses here weren't purely big box; there was some intrigue and it wasn't the same set of things one sees in most shopping centers of this type. Hard to know what the future holds for this sort of business model, but they seemed to be giving it a go. read more

I've known about One Loudoun for a few years, but have heard mostly negative about it, mostly due to the bars and the clientele who hangs out there to go to those bars and the problems caused as a result. So, when I had the chance to stop in during lunch time for carry-out food, I walked the place and it wasn't that bad during lunch time... Families and playground activity all seemed normal. I have to say this was a very enjoyable, entertaining event. Its called the Light Up Fest. It's actually been here since November 2018. I purchased a really good deal thru groupon. Two admissions for the price of one. I noticed they have another deal going on but this one is only 18% off two admissions. They also offer a few carnival rides for the kids but from what l understand it is a separate fare. First of all be prepared to wear some rain boots or other shoes you're not to concerned about. This is located in a large muddy area. Probably would be fine if we were in a dryer climate. The parking is also free. We had a lot of mud on our tires though. As long as your prepared that's about the only disadvantage of this. Everything else was totally cool. Especially the entertainment of the acrobats. I suggest arriving as soon as they open which is 05:30pm. It wasn't crowded yet but it was when we left. We was there a total of two hours with seeing everything and the show. We took lots of pictures. I also suggest to dress accordingly. It was a cold night. They will only be here until January 2nd. They perform on Holidays as well. Without Groupon discount. The admission is $30.00 per person for adults and children 3-12 $19.99 and senior discount of $5.00 for 65 and over. All children under 3 is free. This is for the Lightup fest. What to expect: Ample parking spots if you arrive before 7PM, tickets were $25 each (Groupon is your best friend), free acrobatic show, 2-3 food trucks, interactive lights, light maze, carnival rides, light swings, and lots mud. So here is the story: Mr. Boyfriend decided to take me to the last night of Lightup Fest, and it was amazing! To describe the event, it was basically zoolights ,but on a larger scale. The lights could be seen from miles away. We had no problem finding the place or finding parking. The whole event was covered in gravel and mud, nightmare for a person wearing heels. Heed my warning, wear the beater shoes. I really enjoyed the interactive lights and was surprised by how many activities there were. They had carnival rides in one section and then a tent for the acrobat show. I was most impressed with the vendors inside of the tent. There was this man making gigantic cotton candy art and another man making sugar candy art. Maybe it was just me LOL too excited over candy. Overall, worth the money! This review is for the annual Light Up Festival at One Loudoun. *Sigh* It saddens me to say that this event was far from amazing. At $30 per person entrance fee, I expected a lot more. The Chinese acrobatic performances were really the highlight of the event. If it weren't for them, I would give it one star. Honestly. It was cold, yes. The entire event (pretty much) is outdoors. There are hundreds of light (lantern) displays from different periods of time and place such as prehistoric dinosaurs, ancient Mayan temples, pirate ships, Chinese zodiacs, sea creatures, jungle animals, the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty, just to name a few. These were very cool and it was fun to take pictures. The problem was the ground was so wet and saturated with water that it was muddy. Some parts were borderline quicksand. It was bad. They put down these heavy plastic mats throughout the event to make a "path" but they were also very muddy and slippery and everyone was slipping and sliding trying to squeeze onto this tiny mat path. It was very crowded and therefore challenging to keep on the path. By the time I got home I had about three inches of mud caked onto my boots. The food vendors were okay. There were only about five or six choices and lines were long. We got two slices of pizza from one of the food trucks. Then we had to find a place to sit and that proved to be challenging as well. We found a spot on two little metal chairs but it was very cold. I think a heated seating area (or just more seating in general) would be nice. The Chinese acrobatic performances were held inside the new "heated" tent. If by heated they meant 10 degrees warmer than outside, than yes, it was heated. I tried to take my gloves off for a few minutes to make videos and I had to put them right back on. Even with all those people crowded into that tent it was still freezing. I just couldn't believe it. Beautiful light displays and performances but I wouldn't come here again. read more

One Loudoun is a beautiful, growing town center. There's lots of businesses here that we often frequent. Our favorite sushi restaurant, Okada is here and we really enjoy their happy hour. Another fun place is Bar Louie which has a great draft beer selection and the atmosphere is always upbeat. We've come here to view a movie under the stars in front of the Alamo theater which is a free event that's great for families and people of all ages. They decorate for the holidays and it's a welcomed sight when you drive in. Their plaza has water fountains in the summer where you can bring your kids to play and find some relief from the summer heat. read more

Came here for Asian fest and it was awful. Parking was a nightmare. Line to get in was so long and around the entire fence. They had a clear bag policy which made things difficult to carry. More of an inconvenience than the safety it was providing. They had a one water bottle policy. It's a 7 hour festival. I'm not wasting money on overpriced water bottles from vendors. You can bring a chair but you'll have to lug that around. Which may be worth it considering how little table and chairs there were. If I didn't get a discount on 2 tickets I wouldn't have bothered coming all the way here for this. To think they expected to be able to charge 40$ for 2 or even 1 ticket is hilarious. Then they have their arrogant gate prices thinking people actually want to show up here as more of a spur of the moment thing. At least kids under 12 are free. No ATM so bring cash. 100$ for the VIP experience. They hoped to charge 150 for one ticket. Includes a luau. A less used porta pottie as a vip bathroom. Re entry is possible provided you get your hand stamped to get back in. It was just an indiscernible black smudge. The gravel made the dozens of strollers have a difficult time. Construction right next to this kicked up dust. Dogs wouldn't stop barking. Food was overpriced and lacked flavor. This is the first time this festival has been here. I hope it's the last. It's definitely my last. HiBall events are the worst. I would have spent more money on food and merchandise if you let me bring a real bag. But you made it difficult so you get less of my money. I saw so many unauthorized bags. Security clearly did a poor job. The food lines were too long and unorganized it was difficult to walk around. The dj on the main stage was louder and more bass boosted than the smaller covered stage where actual talent was being displayed. Even the covered stage was unorganized. A dozen acts were just standing in line along the fence behind the stage waiting in the blazing sun for their turn. What a poor experience. read more

So this place certainly is a welcome site for the Loudoun area, and I'm glad to see some nice restaurants coming out this way too. On a nice day there is a nice open plaza area with seating, fountains and if the TV's are working you can watch some shows, when I came a few months back I got to watch Shark Tank. There's also Wi-Fi in the plaza are which is a nice surprise. There's loads of restaurants around so if you're hungry there are plenty of options. I didn't see a whole lot in the way of shops though, this place seems a bit more food oriented which is fine by me. They also have electric vehicle charging stations too, so that's a plus if you have an electric car. The parking here is terrible though, on a busy day finding a parking space is certainly a challenge, and there's still quite a bit of construction going on too. Although there are some good restaurants I like here so I'll probably be back. read more

My son was treated very badly One Loudoun carnival. He slid off the mechanical bull and BROKE HIS LEG. The guy who ran the bull ignored him and took more customers before calling for help at my request. He did not talk to my son, ask if he was okay or even offer to get him ice. No compassion at all. The "help" was a guy who showed up 10 minutes later with a roll of paper towels. They didn't have a wheelchair or stretcher or anything to help him. They suggested I drive my car up to the entrance to pick him up, but he still had to hobble a good distance to the car. It was reprehensible! We will never go to that carnival again. read more

This is definitely what Ashburn VA needed! This amazing plaza with amazing restaurant choices ( I thought My hubby wanted to go to elevation burger all the time there while we were visiting), some shopping, movie theater, some nice houses near {my parents, hey hey :) } etc. I love the way they constructed this plaza with modern structural design. You will just feel good walking around or dining here. I only wish some of the places in this plaza were open later. I think that's a problem in Ashburn /Leesburg alike, most restaurants etc. close super early compared to other areas like DC and MD. However it's nice and new and there isn't a crazy amount of traffic and people. So you will be able to enjoy your time there if you go visit One Loudoun! Loudoun's version of Reston Town Center and Fairfax Corner. The restaurant/bar scene is always popping, you've got a movie theatre with the Alamo Drafthouse, grocery store in Fresh Market, retail shops, plus free wifi. Plus across the street there's top golf and Ifly. They also do farmers market on Saturday and they just recently held a carnival there in June. And they're not done yet, more is being built and added including a hotel and more restaurants and shops. What they should add is a legitimate coffee shop that's not Starbucks, more fun activities like bowling, arcades, or laser tag, a cigar store, and a fine dining restaurant. But I believe they will. I saw some one star reviews on here about Bar Louie and other restaurants I can't name. You people need to write the review on the establishment itself, not One Loudoun as a whole. We can all agree a place like Bar Louie is lacking but don't think it applies to the rest of One Loudoun. And the fact that out of all the places here, you went to Bar Louie to visit just shows your lack of taste in which you don't know how to use YELP properly. Whoa that was a rambling rant. This plaza rocks, boasting numerous shops and cool restaurants. I can envision Its courtyard as the perfect gathering place for families and couples, but it is its gigantic widescreen TVs that have captured my heart. These bad boys dominate the plaza and would certainly serve as the perfect viewing experience for a summer baseball game or Olympics. My favorite restaurant in this area is Bar Louie, but One Loudoun has enough options to satisfy any culinary desire. Oh, and the Plaza's movie theater stands as a wonderful cinema. What they don't tell you: it's all gravel so strollers with basic wheels will be difficult to push. No heaters so dress in layers on layers. Gloves, scarves and hats are a must. Hand warmers would definitely help. Bring coffee with you. You can get hot coco inside. Wear comfy shoes particularly rain boots or snow boots in case it's muddy out. One Loudoun is definitely a good hang out spot especially in a summer time. Restaurants/Bars scene is always popping here. This town has all sort of cuisines for every taste bud. My favorite is Nando's Peri Peri, Bar Loui & Uncle Julio. The only reason I am giving four stars is because of Friday night crowd, which is not pleasant at all. I am not sure where do those people come from but they seem not from Loudoun County. One Loudoun needs to step up their game to maintain good crowd on weekend nights like Reston. I like how they decorate holiday lights during Xmas. This place looks like a mini Reston Town Ctr. It will definitely grow more in the near future. read more

We come here simply to play at the "splashground". Come early because it gets busy. The shopping center could use a jcrew or Ann Taylor Loft to spice things up but I really only come here for my son to play in the water. Amidst the hustle and bustle of northern Virginia stands a community of restaurants and shops. This is my favorite place to visit while in NoVa. They always have some sort of event going on and then variety of places in the center is amazing! They have Whole Foods, an AMC (or Alamo, I can't remember the name!) movie theater, Uncle Julio's, Tropical Smoothie, and MUCH MORE! This is a great place for families as well. In the center, there is a tv, water fountains for kids to play in, and some benches surrounding the area. If you're around the area, swing on by and enjoy a nice sit down restaurant, a quick bite, or a movie. read more

This place is really showing potential. I used to come here when it was just The Alamo theaters. Parking was breeze back then and it's still easy to park. There have been many new restaurants scattered throughout the plaza. There was signage showing that Matchbox would be opening in a few months. The center of the plaza attracts many families since there is some sort of water fountain that is heavily visited by TONS of kids. There's plenty of sidewalk space so it can definitely handle the weekend crowds. For those with an electric car, they even have a plug space for you! read more

One Loudoun is the new multipurpose shopping/dining/hipster/yuppie place to be in the heart of the hipster/yuppie segment of Loudoun County. I have been coming here for a while because one of my favorite places on Earth - Alamo Cinema and Drafthouse - is the centerpiece of this complex. Actually, it's been the only thing at Loudoun One for a while. But last weekend I went back to Alamo for the first time in a while and saw that the complex is filling out nicely. There are two additional eating establishments open there now - Firehouse Subs and Bar Louie. Shops have also started to spring up, the most notable being the upscale grocer "The Fresh Market". And the developers have tons of ambitious plans for this space, including a minor-league baseball stadium and an amphitheater. (I can already picture the yuppie hipster masses doing bad white people dances while enjoying Happy Hour covers of Blues Traveler.) But I have to admit, some of the tech they've put up already is impressive, from the big screen in front of Alamo to the faux grass play area for kids, complete with a life-size version of Simon. (My wife had to hold me back from playing. I know I'm not the only one who is old enough to remember that game!) My only fear is that, upon completion, the place will become so damn crowded that it will be a pain to get in and out of one of my favorite places. I'm hoping the build-out comes SLOWLY. read more

I had no idea this place existed until we visited recently for dinner at Aggio (by Bryan Voltaggio) and also walked around Barnes & Noble. One Loudoun is an adorable town center in Ashburn in Loudoun County. It's a bit far from DC proper, but much more accessible from Reston, Herndon, Fairfax, etc. It has tons of restaurants and shops and seems like an oasis of sorts in the not-so-developed area which surrounds it. There's large indoor parking garage, as well as surface lot parking, so parking isn't an issue. Of course, as with many town centers, it has more of a man-made, rather than organic, feel to it, but I was impressed with the variety of restaurants there and the wide array of shops, exercise studios, etc available. It's definitely somewhere I'd consider living if it wasn't so far away from DC! read more

I like One Loudoun overall, nice place to hang out and a lot of good restaurants. However, this review is exclusively for One Loudoun Plaza area. I went there on Saturday evening with family and the place is taken over by Hookah, Cigar and Vaping groups. A lot of family are hanging out, kids are playing and running around, which is really good; however, there are group of people who have setup Hookah on more than 3 tables. They are vaping, smoking cigar and Hookah. We were sitting to the next table and could not stay longer because of strong Cigar smell. We then moved to different table and could not escape from Hookah and cigar smell there are well since there are so many Hookah people in many tables around the Plaza. Basically One Loudoun Plaza has become open HOOKAH BAZZAR/Plaza and smoking area instead of a nice place where family and kids can hang around. read more

A new Multipurpose location with lots to do! I love the outdoor seating and my kids love to play in the water! I can sit back and relax while they run around! I've been here few times now, and will keep returning. They offer a summer concert series, while it's not robust and amazing, it's relaxing! The Alamo Cinema and Draft-house is a main attraction, but it's growing and building up nicely. The restaurants are plentiful and tasty. The complex has indeed added some wonderful places to eat. The technology present at One Loudoun is awesome. The large screens provide displays of everything from fireworks to scenery. It was awesome during the concert I attended on August 12th. I hope that as this place grows and expands that it won't be so over-crowded and painful. I am looking forward to many family events at One Loudoun! read more

One Loudoun is a nice area for either spending time with family or going out with friends for a nice dinner. The area is very modern looking. It had a large selection of restaurants and a theater. I came here because I had an oral surgery consultation and the office was a little hard to find but eventually we found it. I'll definitely be back to try the restaurants there read more

New mixed use development in Ashburn. Even with the garages, parking can be a migraine headache. Also beware of drivers going a little too fast in the main streets. There are over 15 restaurants here of all types. Some do not have great overall scores on Yelp. Suggest checking each one out here before going. Many are overpriced (as one person put it - DC prices in the suburbs). The 4 stars are for the atmosphere, variety, including a Barnes and Noble coming soon (will explain to millennials what that is) and overall experience. read more

I previously just finish my dinner at the One Loudoun location, one of the servers stole my brother's wallet that was right in front of him while sitting. After 15 minutes searching and asking, a server came out to the table and tried to play it off like "we found your wallet". It was very obvious this was intentional. We did not make a scene on this situation. On top of that we waited an hour plus for our food to come out, service was absolutely horrid. I will never be going back to that Bar Louie and I will make sure that I tell everyone not too. read more
