3/10 for me. This isn't a pumpkin patch as advertised on instagram. It literally is a parking lot that had blow ups and pumpkins for you to buy. My children however had fun so I gave it a 3 star rating. It was expensive to me. $ 25 per kid and $5 per adult. Train ride around the flowers and pumpkins ( literally a circle) and animals that clearly weren't fed and .50 cent vending machines to get feed. It was something to do..... but I prefer actually pumpkin patches.

Their selection of pumpkins is awesome

I wonder if this garden center sells Christmas trees, because I didn't notice too many things related to the Christmas holiday.

We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

Calling the business got me no help, the employe mentioned that they take care of the flowers and that I must've had damaged the flowers with water temperature. You would be better off buying flowers from Giant, they are much cheaper, better looking, and last longer.

I did look at google reviews and saw everyone complaining about price but I thought they just aren't giving enough direction, don't understand flowers, etc. I called an hour ahead of pickup-- asked for a ~$100 mix of blues & pinks in a bouquet not an arrangement in a vase. Since I already knew it was overpriced. I'd rather have nicer quality flowers than the vase. Walked in, the shop is GORGEOUS. Don't let it fool you. My bouquet was a giant blue hydrangea (she said $25 for the one stem, ok fine) with 4 medium size pink roses. She also had a few fillers -- one white and one like a pink berry. As I'm trying to wrap my head around this I start inspecting the miniature bouquet and realize the fillers are dying. The white petals are turning brown and floppy. I point it out, she's says she'll switch it. As she's doing so I can see the berries -- dying like a fruit. Literally mashed brown on the back ! At this point she had been so willing to switch things out that I'm not upset I'm thinking we're going to make this work. When I showed her and pointed to the dead berries she physically swipes my hand away. I walked out of the store. Don't waste your money or time. I'm trying Blooms Reston Floral instead. It's only 5 min away.

After speaking with the lady up front (I believe it was the owner Donny's wife, but not 100% sure) she talked us into using their services because she convinced us that their sod was locally grown and they had expert installers. We spend almost $1,000.00 and they came by the next week. Everything seemed to be ok after they left, but less than a month later, the sod stared to brown. MULTIPLE requests (including text messages, phone calls and visits to the store) and months later Donny finally agreed to replace the sod. NO notification that they were coming, I got a knock on my door the last day of October (7 MONTHS later) they were there to replace the sod. In the middle of the guys replacing the sod, Donny (the owner) literally pulled up in front of my house, got out and screamed in front of my entire neighborhood how he didn't think my sod actually needed to be replaced and to "never effing call him again" (Yes I have it all on video if anyone is interested). After an altercation, he trespassed me from his store. Nice way to deal with a customer that only wanted to get what he paid almost 3X what he should have from a local business.

I love shopping at the Herndon Farmers market where I can pick from a good selection of fresh, locally grown, wonderfully tasting produce. I love meeting the growers/farmers, talking about their farms, talking about their and my shared love for gardening. You can taste what a tomato is supposed to taste like with absolutely no yukky plastic taste like you'll find in a grocery store. A locally farm grown carrot or sweet peas is almost like eating candy because the are so sweet. And the fruit! Oh what the flavor of a watermelon tastes like when it's not a washed out flavor of a mass produced product. The farmers are always willing to answer any and all questions I may have and for the high quality of their produce I find their pricing very fair. They are in the same place all of us are with this economy and they understand we are all looking for a good price and they provide those.
