So far, I have judged all Caribbean restaurants I've eaten at since my first visit at Hotspice precisely against Hotspice in taste and presentation of dishes and so far there is no match. My biggest regret is I live a whole continent and ocean away from this tiny restaurant that churns out amazing food. Along with my lady, we sat down inside the restaurant and ordered the Jerk Chicken and Ox Tail plates. Probably two of the best dishes I've ever eaten. I spend most of my days telling people how great it is to live in California, which It is, until you get the taste for Caribbean food and the best place you ever eaten It, you need a plane ticket to reach. A cruel fact, which will haunt my mind until the next time, Hotspice and I meet again.

It's more of a takeaway spot, but plenty of sitting areas are next to the venue. The food was excellent and you are given these Tupperware like containers that allowed you to carry and store anything leftover from your meal. They also have the assortment of patties from lamb to shrimp. It's also situated in an area with a food court and swap meet like experience.

There are a lot of Caribbean takeaways out there, most offering a wide range of food including jerk chicken but this place is a step above the rest because they actually Jerk the meat over a coal fire. Their menu is simple but tasty, offering a range of accompaniments to your meal like rice & peas, sweet potato chips, and festivals. Their coleslaw is also delicious - I had to order an extra portion! It's a family run establishment and the staff are super friendly. The restaurant are currently applying for their liquor license so they don't sell alcohol at the moment but they are quite happy for you to bring your own booze to enjoy with your meal.
